Non-SciFi Novels

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Non-SciFi Novels
February 13, 2010: Hello everyone. The remaining boards I moderate are back open to posting. However, if anyone is interested in taking over, the position is still open. Contact Phil the Chief if you want the job.

May 6, 2009 Since no one has stepped forward to take over moderator duties for my boards, I'm closing all of them to posting except Classic Trek. So if you want to see them opened back up, send an e-mail to Phil offering to take over. You don't have to take them all on, just what you're interested in.

Butch

April 27, 2009 In case you haven't heard, I'm resigning as a moderator here at NitCentral. The search is on for
replacement mods for the topics I cover.
They are:
Sci-Fi Novels
The Twilight Zone
PC Games
Action Figure
Non-Scifi Novels

Hi everyone. Former Mod, KerrieM seems to have gone missing, so Phil has appointed me, Butch Brookshier, as the new Mod. No other changes, so, as you were.

How to Use the Board: Clicking on your genre of choice will produce a list of authors, all of whose titles you can then discuss on the one thread. (For authors that don’t fit anywhere else, we have Miscellaneous Fiction. There's also a ‘Who wrote that book…’ thread in Cafe Nit as a sort of helpline.)
I’ve included a few of the more popular names in each category to start you off, but please don’t hesitate to add whomever else you wish…Well, you might want to hesitate just enough to remember, first, that NitCentral is a ‘family-friendly’ site, and second, that discussion is much more fun when everyone knows who you’re talking about. The Moderator is not a censor, but she does have an obligation to those two principles.

Rules:
1. Have fun. Book discussion should inspire wit, passion, intelligence…
2…and good judgement. Any post that contains a deliberate personal attack will be edited if possible or deleted if not. Any poster whom the Moderator suspects of deliberately trying to cause trouble will be warned, then put on notice, then banned.
3. Keep it clean. Except in the context of quotations, profanity will not be allowed.
4. Copyrighted material must be placed within quotes “ ” and thoroughly attributed. Please try not to post passages over 100 words or so.
