Red Dwarf
Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections:
Red Dwarf
Note from the Chief 5/1/2009:
Given that I have had to clean up messages on this board twice in as many days and since we don't have a moderator any longer. I have disabled posting on this topic.
Note from the Chief:
And now for something completely different! Andrew Corcoran has been one of England's faithful nitpickers for sometime now. He wrote and volunteered to moderate a Red Dwarf topic. Though I personally have never seen the show, I've heard from others that it's a scream, so I thought, "Why not?" ;-)
Anways, Andrew be managing the episodes and writing plot synopsis and generally keeping an eye on things. If you need to reach him by email, you can contact him at: acorcoran@nitcentral.com
03/16/99: Oh, oh, oh, right! Man, have I been out of it! Steve's been doing a great job around here (see below) and I've been very remiss in welcoming him. Welcome Steve!

Thanks, Phil. Yes, welcome to the Red Dwarf area of NitCentral - not something you would think could end up at NitCentral, but I thought otherwise. Yes, it is a comedy and isn't supposed to be serious, but over the years it has created such a following that the powers that be have begun to focus more on storylines and characters. However, they do let the occasional mistake slip by. Do you think Lister had his appendix out twice deliberately or was that a big mistake that the Mr. Grant and Mr. Naylor won't live down? What about how we saw, episode after episode, a man in a spacesuit hanging down on the outside of the ship painting the exterior - yet there is no gravity in space!
I'm not looking for people to worry about deliberate mistakes (although they are fun to point out), we're here to discuss, nitpick, and have a general giggle about each and every episode of Red Dwarf... so what are you waiting for? Get posting to those boards! ;-)
Remember - no profanity, swearing, or off-topic posts - you should know all this by now! As the moderator, I get to cut, move, and generally play about with this area. If you spot anything that doesn't belong here, please e-mail me at the address above.
Thanks again, Phil, for letting me set up this board. Let's hope it is truly a success!
Andrew Corcoran,
fellow English nitpicker.
21/03/99 Update - OK, my computer's sorted so I'm back as chief moderator as this board (just in case you didn't know I was away for over a month). However, becuase I'm not prepared to turf Steve out just yet, he's staying on with me to help out on the board until he becomes extremely famous and gets his own one to roam about in! Aren't you, Steve. [nudge]
