Primeval has had three successful seasons in the UK and Seasons 4 and 5 have now been confirmed, beginning in January 2011. It is also broadcast on BBC America. The prehistoric creatures are created by the same people who made the Walking with Dinosaurs BBC documentary series.
It’s classed as family entertainment, so isn’t exactly rocket science. My best advice to anyone watching this series is to take your brain off the hook while watching. If you view it in full nitpicker mode, you’ll hate it, but as simple entertainment it’s good fun and has some great character development.
