I wish to assess the value of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Bucky O'Hare, Terminator, Toxic Crusaders, Darkwing Duck, Stone Protectors, Inspector Gadget (consists of only one action figure), King Arthur & the Knights of Justice, Food Fight, Batman, Street Fighter, Super Mario Bros., Ghostbusters (consists of only one action figure), and Mighty Max toys, as well as miscellaneous toys that include holograms on the front of leg-less ghosts, one of which does possess legs, electronically operated faces that move whenever the action figure utters a phrase, and bulk troll dolls that are dressed as Batman and the Terminator, to name a few. Furthermore, is anyone aware of an adequate toy/comic book/video game appraiser in the vicinity of New York? Thank you.
My best guess is to try a newsgroup on the Internet (rec.toys.action-figures.discuss), or try poking around http://www.toymania.com because they might have something you can use.
Just liked to say that I think the Austin Powers action figures are pretty groovy baby, yeah!
Very dissapointed in the Mummy action figures, though. Not only did they not resemble the characters, I do not remember Imhotep being dismembered, skewered, or having his head pulled off!
The Witchblade and Fathom figures are awesome! They really look like the actual characters drawn by the great Michael Turner. The only partial letdown is the fact that the figures can only move their heads and arms, not their elbows, legs, or knees. Still, they're awesome.
I hope someone makes figures from other comics as well, like Battle Chasers, Danger Girl, and maybe even Gen 13. Those figures would be great!
Does anyone have any opinions on the Metal Gear Solid figures? They look pretty good, but I think they cost too much...
All I can say is that the hypnotic power of G.I. Joe and He-Man action figures suckered me out of my parents' hard-earned shekels like nothing when I was a tot.
Much the same way that "Avengers" and "MST3K" box sets sucker me out of my own not-so-hard-earned shekels right now.
Does anyone know where i can sell a great 12" Seven of Nine statue? thanks! -steph
Although I haven't yet seen the movie, I picked up the Superman figure that's tied in with Superman Returns. I figured that for about $6.50, why not? It doesn't really look a lot like Brandon Routh, but I've always wanted a Superman figure. (I wonder where Jerry Seinfeld got his for the series. And, where did they get that Bizarro Superman for the episode "The Bizarro Jerry"?)
