Image Comics (1992-present)
Image was founded by seven artists who left Marvel. Originally they published through Malibu before becoming their own publisher. Six of the artists started their own studios to publish by Image. Extreme Studios was forced out for awhile, Top Cow left for a short period of time before coming back and Wildstorm and all it's properties was sold to DC.
Currently Image seems to be broken up into three groups, two partner studios (Tod MacFarlane Productions & Top Cow) and the Image Universe.
