A recent poll on BBC Radio 4's Today programme asked listeners to vote for the individual they thought most deserving of honorary status as a British citizen ("one in") and the individual they felt most deserved to have it revoked ("one out").
The results of this poll are shown here. Note that the two most obvious choices, Tony Blair out and Nelson Mandela in, were not included.
This made me wonder - which citizen of your own country (USA, Canada, UK, Germany, wherever) do you think ought to revoke their citizenship and leave, and who from outside should become an honorary citizen of your country in their place?
Out: John Ashcroft (1930s Germany would be more his style)
In: Can't think of anyone.
out:Hilary Rodman Clinton,Al Sharpton,Tom Daschle,
Patty Murray,Bill Clinton,Chelsea Clinton,Maria Cantwell,Gary Locke,Yankee fans,etc.
in:Lady Margaret Thatcher,Pope John Paul II,Ringo Starr,Ariel Sharon,President Fox of Mexico,
Alf,Calgary Flames fans,etc.
McClenny: What did Chelsea ever do? You're not one of those schmucks whow asted paper on op/eds about "ugly kids in the White House" are you? I may attack idiots like Bush and Cheney and Ashcroft regulary, but I would NEVER stoop so low as to attack their kids.
For the UK:
One OUT: Nick Griffin (somebody I despise more than Jeffrey Archer, Paul Dacre, Piers Morgan and Mohammed Al-Fayed put together. And then again I'd like to keep Archer and Fayed just for the comedy value.)
One IN: George W Bush - he's probably a very funny person once you get to know him (but he's not allowed back to his home! ).
IN: Some woman from a Muslim Country. Or a Christian area that's about to be taken over by a Muslim area, like southren Sudan.
OUT: Alec Baldwin. He promised...
In: people who would rather not know useless stuff about people they don't care about.
Out: people who do care about useless stuff about people their name.
In: people who would rather not know useless stuff about people they don't care about.
Out: people who do care about useless stuff about people their name.
Oops Brittnany Spears was here again.
