Courtesy of eBay, I've just acquired all 88 of the Topps' STAR TREK - the Motion(less) Picture trading cards, and I noticed a few nits. I don't know that this thread'll have much traffic, but just to expose these nits, I've created it. Anyone wishing to comment or nitpick any of the trading cards series, feel free.

Card 11 is the one of Kirk exiting the shuttle at Starfleet Headquarters. It is labelled "Captain Kirk's Mission". Uh, at that time in the film, Kirk was still an admiral.

The picture on card #15 is "Uhura". It looks like it's a publicity photo of Nichelle. From what I can see of her clothes, they do not look like anything she wore in the film.

Card #23 shows the Rec Deck scene, where the crew of the Enterprise learns of the threat of V'Ger. It's labelled "The UFP Assemlbed". While I'm sure that many of the races that comprise the United Federation of Planets is assembled on the Rec Deck, this scene does not take place in any UFP establishment. It's aboard the Enterprise.

#25 shows one of the many new aliens created for the film. It's called "The Face of Terror". I don't think there's really one scene where that face is seen for more than a second or two in the film. This card just gives the impression that this alien is important to the plot. He was just a face in the crowd.

#26 is called "Lizard-Like Diplomat". Uh, no. He's an Enterprise crewmember.

Card #54 is labelled "Transporter Malfunction". Actually, it's a shot of Decker showing the Ilia Probe one of the games Ilia liked to play on the Rec Deck.

A scene of Spock helping Scotty with the warp drive engines (#58) is called "Spock's Discovery". Spock is using a device to scan a engine chip. Nope. It's just the ship's Science Officer helping the Chief Engineer repair the engines.

The Ilia Probe is shown being examined by the diagnostic bed (#61). It's called "Stamina of the Alien". No, it's the medical examination of a probe. (A probe being probed.) The Probe's stamina had nothing to do with that scene.

Kirk being beamed aboard the space station to meet Scotty is called "Beam me down, Scotty." The admiral had just beamed up, actually. (#66)

Story Summary #3 appears on the back of card #45, whereas Story Summary #2 doesn't appear until the back of #66, after Story Summary #4 even. (#60)

Live long and prosper.
