This was hilarious, particularly the first one, which was falsely attributed to John Cleese. The first American rebuttal wasn't really funny, but the last one at the bottom of the page had me laughing out loud.
As usual, what started out as bit of fun got a bit carried away (on both sides...). I remember seeing the original back in 2000, when it actually made sense...the 2004 version turned a humourous interlude into a piece of fiery anti-Bush propaganda.
Mind you, I certainly agree with the one about if you want British good guys with real accents, we should (a) make our own films and (b) not aim them at the American audience!
On the aluminium/aluminum debate, I think it's worth pointing out that Davy originally spelled it alumium, which has the shortness of the American version with the correct suffix of the British one (i.e., to fit with sodium, calcium, etc.,) so maybe we should just revert to that.
