I have my eye on a Dell XPS M1330 laptop that I can get for $600 off. Does anyone have an opinion about Dell computers one way or another? (if anyone has this particular computer and can tell me about it, that'd be great)

I know that most hard core computer geeks don't like Dell because they make their computers and if you open them to do your own work or upgrades you void your warranty. They want you to use them for upgrades or troubleshooting as they make lots of money from selling service plans; perhaps even more profit from those plans than they do off the actual computers. That said I know many computer geeks who have a Dell or two because they are so dang affordable.
