Bizarre recommendations

Sites like Amazon and Netflix go about recommending titles based on how you rank other titles. Typically there's a list included with the recommendation explaining why it was given. Most of the time these make sense. For example, if I were to rate Stagecoach five out of five, then in all likelihood it would recommend The Searchers. But on occasion, a recommendation will come completely out of left field. I thought we might share some we've encountered.

First off is one I got for an American Ballet Theater recording of Swan Lake. Now I have nothing against ballet, but I hadn't ranked any arty titles. Turns out it recommended it because I ranked the Second Season of Rocky and Bullwinkle five out of five. Very strange.

This one has me really confused. I got a recommendation for a Titanic documentary from ranking the science fiction anime series Lost Universe four out of five. I do not see the connection here.
