So back when Jeri Ryan was first on Voyager I joined a fan club. One of the things they did was to have an auction of various Star Trek memorbalia on eBay.To bid you had to join eBay.
Which I did.
Then after awhile one thing led to another and I forgot about it.That was until a couple months back when eBay e-mailed me about confirming change of e-mail.I had no idea what was going on and since it had been years since I had even used the account I was unaware I even had it.
So at first I let it slide.
And then I start getting these messages from eBay
from someone claiming to have bought something from me.
Not having put anything up for auction I didn't know how to contact them.
Finally I managed to fire off some e-mails(after finding the right process)and the replies seem to be of the We Haven't Any Record Of That Account
variety.
Every time I try to contact them it just seems to get worse.I have been asking them to delete the account so that this doesn't go too far. However it seems that they are about as helpful as a Ferengi with a hord of Gold Pressed Latinum.
What can I do?

I hate to tell you this, Scott, but I don't think you should have responded to that email. It sounds like it was a spoof. I've gotten a few of those and I delete them. (They've shown up in my hotmail mailbox, which is not the addy I use for eBay. So I know they're questionable.)

Other than getting too many negative feedbacks or disputes against you, I'm not sure how you go about closing an eBay account. I've never had to do it. Have you tried using the eBay Community? Perhaps if you posted your problem on their message board, they might be able to give you some better advice.
