In TIME Magazines, in the early 40's, my great-uncle Will Lang was a staff correspondent and a Bureau Head in Algiers, Italy & Berlin.
There are some issues of TIME, they list him as "WILL LONG" instead of "WILL LANG"

Many years ago, there was a sign in the front of our local grocery store that was supposed to be advertizing a special price on "Morton Salt", but someone messed up so it said "Moron Salt" instead.
I remember once in my late teens seeing a copy of Hustler magazine that showed a picture of a Black Angus restaurant sign with the "g" missing from "Angus".
There was a city with the street names Bush and Clinton somewhere! It met too

In the A&E reruns of The Fugitive, A&E made their own graphics for the epsiode titles. The fourth season episode "Goodbye My Love" appears on screen as "GOOBYE MY LOVE".

Not a misspelling, but our Time-Warner digital on-screen cable guide always gets play dates for the Trek episodes "The Empath" and "Elaan of Troyius" reversed. When "The Empath" is on, the guide reads "Elaan" and vice versa.
da skool education (principal) needs a lesson in tiping speling and gammer.
