If there is another Trek series, what should it be about? Here's my thoughts;

Jumping ahead 100 years worked well for TNG, so do it again, invent cool new gadgets, and ditch the Klingons, Romulans, and Borg for some newer, better enemies. A smaller main cast would be beneficial as well, if Travis "Overpaid Extra" Mayweather is any indication.

As a few others have stated, one idea I liked for a new series would be from Mirror Universe. There's plenty of information to go on already and it can be picked up where In a Mirror Darkly (ENT) left off, perhaps skipping along quickly to catch up to TOS and DS9.

Another jump into the future is a good idea but IMO there were plenty of underused enemies in VGR to run with; such as the Hirogen, Species 8472, the Malon... Another idea I liked was a series that takes place on Federation time-ships, or even in Daniels' time from ENT. Since Trek writers like to butcher timetravel anyway why not give them a blank check?

I'm somewhat ambivalent about a time travel series, simply because it's already been done a number of times. I do think that the distant future (i.e. Daniels' time) would make a good series, or perhaps even later. There's nothing stoping them from developing a series that takes place 5,000 years in the future.

I'd like to see

"Star Trek: Klingon Empire"

The voyages of a Klingon D-7 Battlecruiser and it's many battles & conquests.

Perhaps its an Anti-Time phenomenon

I think a movie from a Klingon perspective would be interesting though.

granted, its not the series, but I do agree that it would interestng. I think a lot of it would depend on the writing as you couldn't do those message shows like TOS and so forth did because they are Klingons and probably wouldn't care if the hu-mons were treated fairly.

How about:

"Star Trek: Mirror Universe" ?

That might be fun

Probably have to be on Showtime or HBO, judging from the content of In A Mirror, Darkly...
