Barbarella is a space traveler who crashed on the planet Lythion & got involved with the various people in the quite different parts of the world.

Barbarella - Grove Press

NANJAO. I believe this was originally published as serial adventures in the French V-Magazine, so it's not one long story as it is a collection of short, loosely connected tales. Unfortunately a search of the internet brought up a lot about the movie & very little about the original comic. I would guess the first two installments were 10 pages long & the following installments were 8-pagers.

The people of Lythion hollow out seats in the greasy, insensitive back of the striule.
Generally speaking animals don't usually react well to having parts of themselves cut out. Also the way the striule is drawn you'd think it had a backbone which hollowing out would have removed part of.

Bit of a confusing moment. Barbarella & Knautia are trying to get a weapon from Barbarella's crashed ship, but it's guarded. Barbarella approaches the guard topless & pretends to faint. The guard leans over her & she kisses him. Knautia then removes her clothes & runs over & takes over kissing the guard.
Other than fanservice there doesn't seem to be much of a reason for her to do this. You'd think hitting the guard on the head to knock him out would be much more effective.

Anyway, the very next panel Barbarella says "He's in no shape to re-enter the lists!"
The first assumption is maybe they exhausted him, or maybe Barbarella knocked him out when Knautia completely misunderstood what the plan was? However looking at the panel again, the guard is partly covered with giant leaves, or something, but his hand & legs do not look like someone who is unconscious or sleeping & I'm wondering if the implication is that the girls maneuvered the guard into a man-eating plant.
Is it any clearer in the original language? Were some panels removed for this edition?

NNAN, but certainly a product of the short page count. Barbarella crashes on Lythion in the city of Chrystallia, then Dianthus explains the situation between the city & the Orhomrs, then he explains that he doesn't agree with the city elders & wants Barbarella to deliver a message to one of the Orhomrs, Dhan. She does, the Orhomrs successfully attack the city & the Chrystallians & the Orhomrs will live in the city in peace.
What?!? I was expecting a double-cross or some kind of twist, but apparently Dianthus is incapable of telling a lie to beautiful, mysterious strangers whom he's just met & seen half-naked.

At the end of the story with the pirates of Medusa, Barbarella arranged for captain Dildano & his men to be freed. At the beginning of the next story the crew is stated to have fallen into a deep pit & can't be saved.
Well, then, what was the point of having them rescued at the end of the previous story? *rolls eyes*

Was there a point to the story with the twin princesses of Yesteryear or was it just filler?

After returning from the city to the labyrinth of Sogo, Barbarella refers to Durand as Duran.
I realize that upon first appearing Durand said not to ask him how his name is spelled, but I just assumed he had forgotten, not an excuse for the letterer to misspell it.

At the end Pygar rescues both Barbarella & the mad queen, when asked why Pygar responds, "An angel has no memory..."
Huh? Is this some kind of French saying or is Pygar insane?
