The Duke Of Darkness was the earthbound spirit of dead policeman, Paddy Sullivan.

The Duke Of Darkness K-O Komics #1

The Duke is outside the Chief of Police's office listening for information for his latest case when he gets grabbed by Clancy who saw him lurking there. Later he shows he has the ability to turn invisible, but doesn't give any indication that this was the first time he could do it. So why didn't he turn invisible when evesdropping on the Chief?

Thinking he's just a kook in a costume they lock the Duke up in a jail cell & Mulligan says, "Make yourself comfortable D of D... you'll be in for a long time!"
A long time? Okay, trespassing, evesdropping & possibly vagrancy, but would that really result in a long time in jail?

Okayyyyyy... Professor Evil, another earthbound spirit, has used his powers for... well, you know... ;-), and released a bunch of convicts from Ring Ring prison & sent two of them to police HQ to destroy the criminal records. The Duke stops them, but Evil knocks him out, but since Evil's men has seen him he kills them.
Not sure why he needs to kill them (other than, you know, he's Evil) I mean even if the police do get a description of him, he's dead. Are the police gonna dig up the body & put it in prison?

Okayyyy... Duke is believed to have caused the fire & killed the two crooks. At the end the Police Chief tells Duke he's going to stay in the jail cell until he thinks Duke has learned his lesson.
Uhhhhh, huh... they think he killed two guys & tried to destroy police records. Wouldn't going to prison rather then being in a jail cell be more likely?

Death Writes The Ad K-O Komics #1

Page 2, Paragraph 3, Sentence 3. Took is misspelled "tok".

NANJAO. The main character in this story is named Jim Bond.
Of course this story was published in 1945, years before a more famous Bond started appearing in fiction. ;-)

The Magnificent Epod is the only living survivor of Atlantis. Living in the modern age he tries to understand it & make a living.

Time Will Tell K-O Komics #1

Epod's costume colors alter throughout the story.

Page 6, Panel 2. Epod says, "Think the want to bleed!"
I'm guessing that's supposed to read 'Think they want me to bleed!"

The Menace was Dennis Temple, a Hollywood actor in horror movies who uses gruesome disguises to fight crime

The Menace K-O Komics #1

The Mexico-US border crossing is a sign over the road & two guards on the US side.
Kind of a shame border security was so much better then than now. ;-)

Dennis, wearing his costume of The Menace, drives across the border without a problem.
You'd think the mask would be a problem. Also the car was reported as being stolen, although as the border "station" doesn't seem to have a phone...

Page 9, Panel 6. It shows FBI agent Mr. Blunt in the Menace's car saying he has to get back to work, and the Menace & the Japanese woman have to stay in Aqua Caliente because their work is there.
As the Menace mentioned earlier that he had to report back to the set for more filming & it is his car, I suspect the artist screwed up the drawing.

King O'Leary was a crime-fighting editor for Daily Blade in Crack City

King O'Leary Triple Threat Comics

A condemned criminal is being led to the electric chair, however his head is not shaved.

Okayyyyyy... The police found crime boss Jango Rhinehart strangled and Moxie knocked out. They think Moxie was strangling the boss & he knocked out Moxie just before he passed out and this was enough to get him the electric chair.
Uh-huh... if Moxie was unconscious then how did he finish strangling the boss?

The Duke Of Darkness

Untitled Triple Threat Comics

Duke is fighting a ghost who can summon nightmares & he says, "Now I'll find out how strong I am against my own type of people!"
Didn't he already learn that in his first story where he fought Professor Evil?

Somehow, despite not identifying himself when they met, Duke knows the ghost's name is Slumber (Morpheus Slumber according to the opening caption.)

Beau Brummel was a rich guy who fought crime

The World's Greatest Store Triple Threat Comics

Page 2, Panel 2. Beau says, "Miss Simbel seems to be carring the Brummel side of the table!"
Carring? I think he meant carrying.

The Magnificent Epod

Untitled Triple Threat Comics

Junius B Windfall say, "You made me waste ten bucks on a phoney! Well, hang it from me nose and call me a sucker!" & the bottle gets stuck & it's later identified as a wishing bottle.
How the heck can that be deemed a wish? Heck, Windfall says a couple of things that come closer to being wishes, but they don't come true.

Page 6, Panel 6. The bottle that's stuck to Windfall's nose is missing.

Beau Brummel

The Case Of The Kidnapped Cuties Atomic Bomb

Opening caption reads, "The dedonair destroyer of desperadoes"
I think that's supposed to be debonair.

Okayyyy... the guy in charge of the crooks kidnapping actresses & singers is hiding them in a building that is a giant elevator. The first 7 floors sink into the ground.
1. How did this pass the building inspector? (Okay, he was probably bribed.)
2. How much did this set up cost? (No wonder he needs to kidnap women & blackmail them $50,000 each.)
3. Wouldn't the neighbors notice this?

Airmale And Stampy were crime fighters. Airmale was lighter than air & could fly, Stampy was made lighter than air in this story.

Untitled Atomic Bomb

Mr. Minus sent Airmale a feather that weighs a lot. Examining it Airmale says, "he can control minus gravity!"
Wouldn't minus gravity refer to conditions where there is no gravity? Basically Mr. Minus has found a way to increase mass.
