Online comic presenter turns comic book publisher.
Keenspot (& Keenspace) host quite a few online comic strips, but have now branched out into comic book publishing.
A list of their current line-up can be found at http://www.keenspot.com/comicbooks/
Black Plague and Jimmy the Leper by Paul Southworth is an original book by the cartoonist of Krazy Larry (http://www.krazylarry.com/)
The other titles are based on the online comics featuring a mix of reprint & original work.
Superosity by Chris Crosby (http://www.superosity.com)
Roomies by David Willis (Roomies & It's Walky http://www.itswalky.com)
Cool Cat Studio by Giselle LeGace & T.Campbell (Cool Cat Studio http://www.coolcatstudio.com & Fans http://fans.keenspace.com/)
Also Steve Troop was working on a Melonpool graphic novel (http://www.melonpool.com), but I don't know if it will come out under the Keenspot Comic imprint or not.
And Carson Fire of Elf Life (http://www.ElfLife.com) was polling his readers if they would be interested in buying an Elf Life comic.
Thoughts? Ideas? Comments?
Do not just talk about the Online versions. All online Keenspot comics have discussion boards of their own.
There will be an Elf Life comic book under the Keenspot Comics imprint.
Gisele Legace has pulled the plug on both the Cool Cat Studio comic book & online comic.
Me - Keenspot (& Keenspace)
Well, a few years later Keenspot changed the name of Keenspace to Comic Genesis. Apparently because too many people were confusing the two. *snicker*
Also Steve Troop was working on a Melonpool graphic novel (http://www.melonpool.com), but I don't know if it will come out under the Keenspot Comic imprint or not.
No, it didn't.
I was filling in some holes at the Grand Comics Database and was rereading my Keenspot comics & doing some research on the line.
Elf Life lasted 2 issues.
Black Plague and Jimmy the Leper lasted 3 issues.
Cool Cat Studio lasted 3 issues.
Roomies lasted 4 issues (and finding confirmation that a fourth issue was printed was a pain in the *ahem*.)
l33t: Comics For Gamers lasted 7 issues.
Superosity lasted 7 issues.
In 2003 Keenspot had high hopes for their A-Bomb universe/brand, but, as far as I can tell, only Landis #0 saw print.
One would think that the two Comic Genesis titles in 2006 & 2007 were published by Keenspot, but the 2007 issue (the only one I have) doesn't have any info on who the publisher was.
Landis was Elisa Landis, a 700 year old member of the Everlasting, a group of pawns in a game of gods.
Untitled Landis #0
NANJAO. The Everlasting, a group of people who died before they had children become immortal and are part of a game where they can kill each otherby dacapitation (although other ways will work) and absorb their power.
You'd think someone in the development process might have gone, "You know, there are way too many similarities to Highlander! Let's make some changes!"
NNAN. Elisa says she is 700 years old, however part of this story is a flashback to the 1500s and the love of her life. Which is odd considering she was 200 then.
Page 16, Panel 5. Elisa says, "Sleep now darling, and let the real angel take your to a lighted world where there is no pain."
I assume the missing word is soul.
