Aramis plans to replace King Louis XIV while he is visiting the house of Monsieur Fouquet. Fouquet is NOT a part of the plot, but Aramis is able to show Philippe the king in the room below through a special opening and while the king is sleeping Aramis pushes a button and the bed the king sleeps in descends to an underground passageway.
1. How did Aramis know of these things, but Fouquet apparently did not.
2. Was this in the original book or was this invented to help cram the story into a 47 page comic?
