Fatman, The Human Flying Saucer was a short-lived (3 issues) humor comic from Otto Binder & C.C. Beck (the two previously worked together on the original Captain Marvel in the '40s & '50s). Aliens give Van Crawford the ability to change to a flying saucer & back. Stopping a gang of spies (because years of trying to lose weight have made him quite strong & agile) he takes up a crime-fighting career as Fatman. He is joined by Lucius Pindle, who by reciting a magic formula, can become the indestructible Tinman.

Fatman's Saucer Trouble Fatman, The Human Flying Saucer #2 - Lightning Comics
(The pages were not numbered & my copies are missing pages so the page numbers listed below are counted from the start of part 3 of the story.)

Page 5, Panel 4. Tinman's face is white instead of flesh-colored like usual.

Page 6, Panel 5. Earlier Van Crawford's father's hair was blonde in this panel it is a bluish-grey.

The Awesome Foursome Fatman, The Human Flying Saucer #2

Part I Fatman's Saucer Trouble

At the end of last issue he had a precognitive vision of meeting four villains, but here he's shown engaging in various hobbies and not apparently worried about any coming trouble.

NANJAO. Van is reading an issue of Stout Fellow Comics & Stout Fellow is wearing a costume that looks like Fatman's costume. (Guess Van pulled a Barry Allen. ;-)

Part III Mystery Of The Moon Witch

Page 1, Panel 7. Brainman is using his power to cause Tinman to swell up. Fatman says, "You're fatter than I am!"
Not really.

Page 2, Panel 1. A few years ago I was reading an interview with C.C. Beck and he stated that when he reads the script the order of the dialogue determines how he lays out the panel. Basically the first person talking is on the left & the second speaker to the right.
So it's rather odd to see this panel not following that rule.

Part V Patchwork Man - Champion Of Evil

Page 3, Panels 1 & 4. Tinman's face is white again.

Fatman The Human Flying Saucer Fights S.A.T.A.N. Fatman The Human Flying Saucer #3

Part I The Evil Eye

Van goes to the small country of Octogonia to buy stamps, but because he has so much money the king sells him the country and makes Van the new king. At a banquet for King Van the villain Gung Ho turns all the food to wood, so Van changes to Fatman catches the villain, and pretty much wiping out any chance of having a secret identity. Which seems odd given the previous two issues, but the rest of the stories in this issue just seem to go with it.

The Orphan UFOlet

Van's mother thinks it's silly that Van's father is claiming to have seen flying saucers & Van just asks what's for supper.
Uhhhh.... he gave away his secret identity in the first story of this issue & his mother saw him as Fatman on TV in the second story, so why doesn't she know that he is also the Human Flying Saucer? Heck why doesn't Van just explain the story to his parents?

Fatmanfan Speaks! (letter page)

NANJAO. I had to laugh at the first letter. "Wow! This is one comic that positively will be a high seller."
Given that this was the LAST issue, yeahhh...

Tod Bolton Super Green Beret was a young kid with a magical green beret that would turn him into an adult with the powers of magic when he salutes.

Super Green Beret Super Green Beret #1

Page 2, Panel 5. A vietcong say, "You called us human pigs, wretch! So we will let this wild pig... or boar... chase you down in the jungle!"
So not only is the vietcong evil, he's educational as well. ;-)

Green Beret Roger Wilson (Tod's uncle) saves the abbot of a monastery. To thank him the abbot summons the spirit of the ancient jungle wizard who bestows upon Roger's beret his jungle magic amulet.
What the heck kind of monastery is this?

Rebel Rat-hole

Page 3, Panel 5. The caption reads, "Utilizing his amazing powers of teletransportation".
What, ordinary teleportation isn't good enough for him? ;-)

White Magic In The Black Forest

In this story Tod picks up a cry for help from World War II, so presumably the jungle wizard, or his magic, made a decision to allow this, so why just help out soldiers in trouble? Why not just allow Tod to "teletransport" to the location of the leaders of the bad guy armies and take them out?

Page 2, Panel 3. The SOS says, "Our commando group is facing extintion".
Extinction.

Tod Bolton Super Green Beret

The Lion God Of Mokuru! Super Green Beret #2

Page 2, Panel 1. The caption reads, "in a far eastern temple where an ancient monk sits above the very center of the Earth"
Well, technically speaking, aren't we all above the very center of the Earth?

NANJAO. "Not a bird! Not a plane! Would you believe... Super Green Beret?"

Page 5, Panel 6. Super Green Beret has fallen in a pit trap with a poisoned stake which causes him to pass out.
1. What happened to his invulnerability from last issue.
2. He just passes out? What kind of weak poison was that?

Okayyyy... Domo Yamata has been tricking the natives into believing there is a lion god. He has ordered, at least, two men to death (which Super Green Beret saved) and yet when Super Green Beret saves his son's life he asks how he can show his gratitude and SGB tells him to chuck the god bit and work to help his people and he leaves thinking Domo will do that and even the jungle wizard believes that the people now have an able leader.
Yeahhhhhhhh....
And the moral lesson dear readers is be evil to gain power because the ends justify the means.

Dawn Of American Freedom!

Page 2, Panel 4. The green beret cap is blue.

Page 2, Panel 6. In Panel 4 Tod said, "1776 here I come!", but here he arrives in 1775.

Page 4, Panel 6. Editor's note says, "Continued after giant Flying Musketeers pin-up".
After the pin-up is a text page called Vietnam Vignettes, so not exactly after the pin-up.

Last issue when the green beret was removed from SGB's head he turned back to Tod Bolton, but in this story he isn't wearing his beret, but he's still SGB.

SGB took the jacket of a redcoat. Later the soldier he took the jacket from recognizes him and SGB gets caught by the British and is going to be shot.
You'd think the soldier he took the jacket from might like it back without holes.

Ambush

Page 3, Panel 2. Caption reads, "As Tod dons the beret he recieves a telepathic message from the ancient far-eastern monk who gave him the magic headgear!"
well, technically he got the beret from his uncle who got it from an ancient jungle wizard after Tod's uncle saved a far-eastern monk.

Page 8, Panel 1. Nam Choc is called Nam Choo here.
