Dr. Anthony King, Love Doctor solved people's love problems.

Who Am I? Dr. Anthony King, Hollywood Love Doctor #4

She's Myron Fass. It says so on the mirror. ;-)

Page 2, Panel 5. Dr. King says, "You both have a right to know what caused her amnesia! You both have to know what her mind is running away from!"
This assumes her amnesia wasn't caused by something physical like a blow to the head or a brain tumor.

Page 4, Panel 7. Caption "the blood onon his cruel smiling lips."

Why didn't Fred hear the truck or see the lights coming up behind him?

Page 7, Panel 3. Fred says, "I told her that cripple-stuff strictly for laughts."

The Redhead And Formula X

Her hair is brown, not red or orange.

What Formula X is, or does, is not stated, but apparently the formula was never written down as the main character is trying to recreate it. Oddly enough it does get recreated, presumably by accident, when his stalker, I mean, love interest, throws a bunch of test tubes at him.
He then makes a fortune from Formula X and marries his stalker.

This week's pick for the Comic Book Plus Reading Group is Captain Tootsie #2

Captain Tootsie was originally a spokesperson for Tootsie Rolls with advertising adventures drawn by CC Beck. In 1950 he was given his own short-lived comic oddly devoid of Tootsie Rolls.

Treason On U-238 Captain Tootsie #2

Page 1, Panel 4. Captain Tootsie's black pants are miscolored as flesh tone.
Which is especially creepy considering he's facing the kids of the secret legion and asking them to go for a ride on his rocket.

Page 2, Panel 1. The word balloons for Captain Tootsie and Rollo is reversed.

Page 12, Panel 1. Captain Tootsie used a paralysis ray on Uranium City to stop the traitors who've taken it over. One of the guys in this panel is paralyzed on one foot.
Why didn't he fall over?

The Stone That Lives!

Page 3, Panel 2. Captain Tootsie tells Marybelle & Sweetie to stay behind while he Rollo & Fatso leave. Marybelle asks, "Where are we going?"
Didn't you hear Captain Tootsie?

The asteroid belt is treated like an asteroid thicket.

They land on an asteroid which has an oxygen atmosphere and silicon lifeforms.
I think in The Making of Star Trek it was mentioned that the show's science advisers, the Rand Corporation, said that silicon lifeforms would burst into flames in an oxygen environment.

Rocketeer Patrol

Page 6, Panel 5. Captain Tootsie makes giant tuning fork to use against the silicon centaurs and tells Rollo & Fatso, "If you hear a hum -- plug your ears ... or your ear drums might break!"
Problem is they're wearing space helmets. If they take them off to plug their ears they'll suffocate.

Captain Tootsie's rocket looks radically different in the last panel then it did earlier.

Captain Tootsie's Timescope

A short thing to teach people about historical facts, although the fictionalizing compressed some events that probably took longer than the space allowed.

Galileo tells a friend that the Milky Way is made up of stars, some bigger than our sun.
While I'm not positive, I'm pretty sure that estimating the sizes of stars came along much later.

LMAO!

the Rand Corporation, said that silicon lifeforms would burst into flames in an oxygen environment.

Well, we don't know what a silicon lifeform would do in an oxygen atmosphere because we we have never seen an actual silicon lifeform. I believe the real concern with silicon and oxygen is that silicon dioxide is a solid, whereas carbon dioxide is a gas. This would make silicon based metabolisms very difficult to sustain. I am more concerned by the fact that the asteroid has an atmosphere, oxygen or otherwise.

The author may have been thinking of Giordano Bruno, a contemporary of Galileo who did speculate that stars are really distant suns with their own planets and people, and was burned at the stake for his trouble.

That we know of. ;-) Ever set a rock down and wondered where it got to? ;-)

Should have thought of that since I'm a rockhound and agates, jaspers, quartz and opals are all forms of silicon dioxide. D'oh!

I am more concerned by the fact that the asteroid has an atmosphere, oxygen or otherwise.

Yep, guess my brain just didn't think of it since it was such a common nit in those old Sci-Fi stories.

On the other hand I should have realized that Captain Tootsie & the kids should have been making tremendous leaps in the two asteroids' lesser gravities having recently come from Earth.
