The Atomic Thunderbolt #1

NNAN. The comic is titled The Atomic Thunderbolt, but in the story the title character is called simply Thunderbolt and the final captions talk about the next issue of Thunderbolt Comics. Which lead me to think that the Atomic was added later. Since this issue is cover dated February 1946 (so probably came out in late 1945), I would imagine work had started on the stories before the atomic bomb was dropped and afterwards the decision to add Atomic to the comic was made.

Willy Wanderlust and Boitram

Two boys who AREN'T interested in dinosaurs?
Do such people even exist?

Cutting school they meet a man who shows them the largest dinosaurs, brontosaurs in the swamp.
Science Marches On. Now we know they didn't live in swamps and we call them apatosaurs and we've since discovered longer dinosaurs.

A tyrannosaurus with four-clawed hands shows up.
Not sure when it was learned that tyrannosaurs only had two-clawed hands.

Of course it wouldn't be a dinosaur story without cavemen. *rolls eyes*

Sadly any explanation for all this was not given as this was the first of a series that never happened.
