Leslie has a flashback to her youth and she thinks, "See, living in a world filled with super-heroes seems like it should be amazingly cool."
Why would she think that? She grew up in a world filled with super-heroes, so trying to imagine what someone would think about a world filled with super-heroes would be ridiculous. She would have no point of comparison. It would be like one of us thinking, "You would think living in a world without super-heroes would be peaceful."
