Happy Birthday, Mark. Mine's August 24th, 1972.
Don't we already have a board for this? If not, February 1st, 1982.

Ok, my bad. I thought there might be one but wasn't sure and I was too tired to look all over the place for another one.

May 24, 1977... the day before the original Star Wars came out. How's that to a claim to fame?
Morgan's is today.
Happy birthday to Morgan!
So how old and decrepit is he, MJ?
Well, for the next few months, he's eleven years older than me. That's pretty darn decrepit!
One score and sixteen.
So, seventeen scores? Dang.
Happy Birthday, Mark.
Happy Belated B-Day, MM!
Thanks, all!
Well, I just celebrated mine - January 27, 1963. Congratulations, Benn, you're just a month younger than me! (Exciting, I know.)
What a couple of young'uns!
(30 Oct 1962).

Forgot about this board...

Congratulations, Benn, you're just a month younger than me! (Exciting, I know.) - mei
Thanks. Less than two weeks away now.
"You say it's your birthday/It's my birthday, too - yeah." - the Beatles
February 25, 1974 (about one week after Kiss released their first album.
Happy Birthday (a day early) Rodney! (Feb. 25 was also George Harrison's birthday.)
Y'know, it's a rarity these days that I reveal when my birthday is. It seems that the only people who remember when it is are my parents. I've had friends - very close friends - that I can them a week ahead of time when my birthday will be and they forget about it. I've had one friend who had a brother whose birthday was the day before mine. And she still couldn't remember when mine was. I have finally gotten to where I no longer tell anybody when it is because it's a waste of breath. I take it for granted they wouldn't remember it anyway, so why bother telling them?
I don't mean to sound self-pitying or whatever. It's just kinda frustrating.
"You say it's your birthday/It's my birthday, too - yeah." - the Beatles
Happy Birthday, Rodster!
Feb. 25 was also George Harrison's birthday.- Benn
It sure was. when I pointed this out to one person they said "Ugh! Why couldn't it have been a REAL Beatle". Suffice it to say, the name I called them would be red-dotted on this forum!
Happy Birthday, Rodney... rassum fassum young kids nowadays...
It sure was. when I pointed this out to one person they said "Ugh! Why couldn't it have been a REAL Beatle". Suffice it to say, the name I called them would be red-dotted on this forum! - Rodney Hrvatin
lol
I like to think of it as justifiable ad hominem!
Oh, definintely. I wouldn't deny that in a hundred-million years, mein fruend.
Hope you had a good birthday today!
"You say it's your birthday/It's my birthday, too - yeah." - the Beatles
Let me be the first today to wish Benn a happy, joyous birthday. Have a good one, buddy.
Thanks, Todd. I appreciate it. I'm off work today and later on I may grab a twelve pack. At any rate, I'm taking it easy.
Happy Birthday, Benn!
Ditto here. Happy birthday, Benn!
Thanks, John, Luigi. It wasn't too bad a day. 'Preciate the kind words.
A happy 30th birthday to John-Boy, whose birthday, IIRC, is sometime this month, as he mentioned earlier in the year.
Eat a cherry, everyone! Find a key!
Happy 25th birthday, PAC-MAN!
(WAKKA WAKKA)
Today's my birthday. I'm 20; no more excuses about being a teenager.
Happy birthday, Mertz! Hope it's a good one for you!
Happy, Birthday, mertz. Mine's in three weeks.
You're turning 20, Luigi? Funny, I thought you were older ...
I'm not sure what in my post implied that, but I'll be 33 on August 24th.
Luigi,
when you said: "Mine's in three weeks", that could refer back to "my birthday" or "my 20th birthday"...
With 33, you're still younger than I thought, though.
Cool Luigi. My 33rd is coming up next january. Somehow I thought you where slightly younger for some reason. Oh well. I guess it dont really matter what a person's age is just their maturity level. I mean I got carded today when i bought smokes for one of the salesmen while I was out.
I don't see how that could've referred to "my 20th," when I just meant "birthday," but hey, if people like R want to opine that I come across younger (though not immature), hey, I'll take it!
Today's my birthday. I'm 20; no more excuses about being a teenager. - mertz
Mine's in three weeks. - Luigi Novi
The "Mine's" can be interpreted as meaning "My 20th birthday"... I can see how the error could have occured.
I never realized Luigi was younger than me, but since I stopped keeping track of my own age a few years ago, I guess it doesn't really matter anyway. Re: my own age, all I care about is that I'll be 108 when the US celebrates its tricentennial, and I'd love to be around to see if it's as fun as the bicentennial was. That and to see if the bicentennial quarters I've got are worth anything. (I wonder if I'll even be coherent, let alone corporeal, then. )
Okay, so that's two people who thought I was older, so now I'm curious, and just have to ask: What is it that made you guys think that I was older? (Not offended, or anything; Just asking. )
(And btw, CR, you're Craig Rohloff, right?)
I still keep track of my age for paperwork purposes at least. As for the tricentennial I'll be 103. And since I'm not always coherent now I can't wait until then. At least I'll try and be corporeal as I'm gonna live forever or die trying......
As for your age Luigi I'm not exactly sure why I thought you where younger than me. Maybe workign in a theator or somethign clicked me down the wrong thought path. As for why some people thought you where older it might be how you have the ability to be logical and reasonable in your debates. (either that or when you get to being a grumpy old guy kinda debater sometimes ;-) )
At the tricentennial I will only be 98, i think.
LOL. Well, I've been debating here since March or April of 2001, when I was 28, so I don't know how that fits into the theory. As for working in a theater, I haven't worked for a theater since early 1998. (Technically, I do work in theaters when recruiting people for research screenings for the market research company I work for now: I just don't work for the theaters. )
Tricentennial: 113.
Really technically, Luigi, you work in cinemas. Or do they also have stage plays & musicals there as well?
BTW, I used to post with my full name, but found it easier to type initials instead. (I also used to post a LOT more than I do now.) But if someone's after me or something, then no, I have no idea what you're talking about.
Don't know if NitC will be around in 2076, nor what the country (and world) will be like, but it might be fun to see how many of us are still around. I'll try to remember to check in!
I don't know how it is in Wisconsin, Craig, but around here in NJ/NY, movie theaters are referred to as such. No one refers to them as "cinemas."
Luigi,
it's difficult to guess somebody's age once past teenager, but from the way you discussed and composed your posts, (and IIRC, you mentioned a family once?), I thought you'd be a bit older.
BTW, I'll be turning 33 at the end of October, too. (When Austria celebrates, too. )
Well, I have a family, but no significant other or child, unfortunately. And it's interesting to see that we're almost the same age.
Re: Luigi's point about movie theaters... a lot of people around here call them that, too. In fact most of them do. Come to think of it, am I the only American who calls them cinemas?
Well, people do use the word "cinema," but often it's meant to refer to the medium in terms of its artistic or aesthetic qualities, rather than the establishment where they're seen (at least in my observation).
Well, as of 2:28 this afternoon, I am now 43 years old.
When I was little, my parents used to look at the dirt on the my clothes and say, boy, judging from the layers of dirt, I think you're 6 years old.
If they wanted me to take a bath... why couldn't they just ask?
Benn, I turned 43 last October
Happy Birthday, Benn.
Thanks, Luigi!
Hey Benn, happy b -day. I was tiping dis outt when my comp crashed !, yesterday
ps my parents forgot my b-day from 72-79. One of my L. A. freinds calls my dad up to say happy b-day in 80. My dad said uh? Lolol
i'll tell ya my b-day when I get to to that day, if I get there
Congrats Benn on surviving another year. I celebrated my anniversary of survival last month. By paying the state of Ohio for my DL , tags on two cars and my truck.
I'm right behind you, Benn in September. Happy- B-day
Thanks, guys! I appreciate your wishes!
I'm 45 today, but feeling fairly cheerful regardless!
Happy Birthday, Callie!
Ditto!
Hope you had a Happy Birthday, Callie! And many more to ya!
Thanks, guys. I survived another one!
It's great to be thiry-eight! (OK, maybe that's overstating the case a little, but it rhymed.)
Happy, birthday, Toddster!
Thanks, Luigi
Happy Birthday, Todd! Here's to many more for ya!
Eh, he's a youngun'! Happy birthday, kid.
Happy birthday!! I'm sure your boss let you have the day off?
Ha ha! No. I could have taken it if I wanted, though. Thanks to all again for the wishes.
Torque, Son of Keplar's Birthday is today!!
So lets all get together and jab him with pain sticks. One stick for every year!
Happy Birthday, Torque! (Wonder when Poll's Voice's birthday is? )
BTW, just how many whacks are we supposed to give Torque?
K'plah, Torque!
Forty Whacks.
40 Whacks!!???
I'm only 26. 40 whacks... are you mad?!! I don't care what they say... 40 whacks when you only deserve 26 whacks is not honorable...
Give Polls Voice 40 whacks! Then call it a glorious battle!
Lizzie Borden took an Axe
Gave her mother forty whacks
When she saw what she had done
She gave her father forty-one
I am curious now... what is the average age of Nitcentral members? Is it near 40?
Well, let's see, using a smattering of visitors as a sample...

Lolar Windrunner said he was "pushing 30" as of 11.14.01, as he said on the To the Death(DS9) board.

What? What is everyone looking at me for? Oh, no, when I said "Let's see", I actually meant one of you guys can do the math. I did my part!
I dunno, I find it rather unsettling that such information is obviously being kept track of...
It's one reason I try to stay as anonymous as possible on the internet now.
Well, I like to know where you guys are from, what you do, etc., and I'm afraid that I'll keep forgetting, and that I'll be embarrased if I ask someone at one point, and they might say something like, "I already told you this last month!" It's so much easier to associate people with their info visually, but since this is all text, I keep notes to keep track. No Orwellianness is intended, Influx.
It's not you as such I would be concerned about. But you've seen what some of the woos are like on the skeptix Forum...
Anyway, to wrench the thread back on topic -- my Birthday is in July, best time of the year.
and guessing the chief's birthday is harder than tracking down Tuvok's age
I'm 21 (22 next month). Just GRADUATED college.
Hey Happy b days everyone
many happy returns. May the force be with you!
hope R is better
Happy Birthday, Mike!
Okay...it's still a month off, though.
Wow, MikeC is younger than I am, had no idea.
I graduate college at the end of the summer, then its off to grad school.
In case you're wondering why I'm 26 and still haven't graduated, its because I got an AAS degree and then went on to a 4 year college but sort of changed my major which meant that 95% of my courses and credits wouldn't transfer.
Dick Clark: and guessing the chief's birthday is harder than tracking down Tuvok's age
Luigi Novi: November 5, 1958.
Well, the fact that I don't even remember posting my birthday is a bit unsettling. I'm surprised that I'm definitely in the younger cohort here.
Happy Birthday to MEEEEEEEEEEEE!
and Happy Flag Day to everybody else
oh, forgot to change the number on my username
Happy Birthday, Titanman23! Hope it was a good one!
Happy Birthday, T.
Happy birthday Titanman! Though I guess I'm late. Unless you're somewhere between Alaska and the Date Line.
BTW, Luigi, your post last month about all of the users' ages was only three days after my 21st.
Thanks to you both, I tried changing it the second time I posted but it doesn't seem to want to change yet.
Hey t-23 happy b-day.Someday you'll be Titanman 100
Cripes. It seems that I'm the oldest one here. I remember watching Star Trek in its original NBC run. Can anyone else here claim that?
Adam, I saw ol Brain and Brain in 69
Happy belated birthday, Josh.
I saw ol Brain and Brain in 69.
Must have been the rerun. I remember sitting in my parents' living room on 9/20/68, waiting for "Spock's Brain" to begin, and then watching it on their ole' black and white Zenith. I was six weeks shy of my 14th birthday.
for Adam-I was switching channels at 1030pm.I was laughing when this pointed ear guy was giving directions on how to operate to a medical doctor,on the table. Then I saw the end of the show and became a Trekker, .My parents let me stay up late since it was Friday night, not a school night.I used to think when they were in space ,they were in space. Uh uh.
Did you catch the ending of the Trek announcement when Nbc said they are renewing Trek?
Happy Birthday!
At 23, you're finally able to do all those things that you couldn't do before...
like, um...
lose more of your medical insurance coverage... yeah, that's it...

Luigi Novi: November 5, 1958.
Well, he said guessing, he made no mention of looking it up.
Happy Birthday!
At 23, don't you think its about time you stopped dressing up as a Klingon when you go to the movies?

What LN means is that its rather easy to track down Tuvok's age.
What LN means is that it's rather easy to track down Tim Russ's age. :-)
No, that's June 22, 1956. Hard to believe he turns 50 one week from today.
Well, Luigi, Vulcans *DO* age slower than Humans....
Did you catch the ending of the Trek announcement when NBC said they are renewing Trek?
Yes, I did. IIRC, it was tagged during the credit roll of "Assignment Earth." NBC "thanked" us for our support of the show, and promised new episodes in the fall of 1968. (Translation: Stop sending in those letters asking for renewal of the show.) Star Trek fans, polite people that we are, promptly deluged NBC with letters thanking them for renewing the show.
Heck, I'm even four years older than the Chief.
Did they save the that message for Assignment Earth, to dvd or tape,Adam?
today I am 47!
Happy Birthday.
OMG! You're old! It's all downhill from here on out now! :D
hmmm... so how many nits... I mean gray hairs do you have?
Polls/ Torq: 47 grey hairs-
Hey, im 48 July 29th- I'll be at Dizzyland if all goes well!
Whoops! I posted on the "Good News" thread by accident.
Sung off-key to the (barely recognizable) tune...
Happy birthday to me
Happy birthday to me
Happy birthday to mee-eee
Happy birthday to me!
Happy birthday, Scott.
Ditto.
And there's another birthday which was earlier this month . . . although not really a birthday, but an anniversary. Nitcentral turned ten years old! Wow, it just seems like yesterday I made my first-ever post on the Man Trap board.
Um, what they said.
Hope you had a great birthday yesterday, Scott!
Belated happy birthday, Scott - and belated happy anniversary, Nitcentral!
Darn - we missed an opportunity for a party!
Brian Floyd was 31 as of 7.4.02 (I forget which board he mentioned this on, maybe one of the Enterprise boards.)
Right age, but my birthday is April 18, not July 4th
Hence the phrase "as of".
Well, tomorrow's my birthday. And to celebrate, I'm taking myself down to Memphis for the three B's: Booze, Blues and Barbeque! Y'all have a great weekend. I know I will.
Mazel Tov!
Happy 46th, Benn!
46? He's a young'un! Go fetch my Gertiol!
Just kidding... my 46th was last year.
Happy birthday, Benn!
Thanks, guys. Just got back from Memphis earlier today. I had a great time!
Well, if you don't have a great time in Memphis, you're just not trying. Happy belated birthday.
People have told me I'm very trying
BTW, Scott, what's "Gertiol"? I've heard of "Geritol", but not "Gertiol".
Thanks, Todd for the birthday wishes.
Whoops! See, that's w'happens when us old folks git all fergetful and everythin'!!!!
Get off of my lawn you pesky kids!
Benn, Gertiol is the version of Geritol that's sold to dyslexics. Eveyrbdoy knwos taht.
Uh? vatsis los?, Lugi ( c smily)
So it's just after midnight here in Blighty, and therefore I'm officially 48. Which is weird, 'cause last time I blinked I swear I was only 27.
And no-one in my department at work remembered on Friday, so I am also officially sulking.
Well, I wish you a happy birthday.
Happy Birthday, Callie!
I know how you feel, Callie. I still can't believe I'll be 40 in a few years. Where the hell did my twenties go?
Oh, but HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!
I know. I'm too young to be 46. Happy Birthday, Callie!
A belated happy birthday, Callie.
My birthday was last Wednesday. Yep April Fools Day. I turned 29, meaning that in less than 1 year I'll be 30.
Well, a belated Happy Birthday to you, Brian!
Indeed. Same here.
Pffft. A young'un. Happy birthday, Kid!
Happy birthday, baby Brian, and thanks to everyone for my messages. I took loads of cakes into work today and everyone's now feeling really guilty that they didn't get me a card on Friday. Hah!
Nishta is easier than baking cakes, Callie
I didn't bake them, silly boy. I used the nishta on my minions and made them bake them!
Let me be the first to wish a happy birthday to ScottN.
Oops. Posted my self-congratulatory note in "Shameless Plugs". One of these days I'll figger out them there new-fangles board titles!
In the meantime, Get off of my larn, y'darned kids!
May 12th 1978.
I am thirty-nineteen today. You may all sing accordingly. Try and harmonise nicely, please. ;-)
Happy Birthday, Callie!
Indeed. Have a good one, Callie
Mazel tov!
Awww happy birthday sweet Callie! I hope you have a wonderful day!
My B-day was last week. I am now 30.
Nice singing, guys, thanks, and belated birthday wishes to Brian.
Belated happy birthday to Callie and Brian!
Maybe you should open a FACEBOOK account, Brian
I have a facebook
http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=551043087#!/profile.php?v=wall&id=551043087
And it's a year since my last post here, so guess what?!
Today I hit the big 5-0. Send sympathy cake.
Happy Birthday, Callie.
Unless you want to wait until tomorrow, in which case I'll wish you a very merry un-birthday!
today is my b-day..getting older by the minute.
Well, happy birthday. And don't worry about getting older, one gets used to it
say, Francios, mind me asking what was your first Star Trek you can remember, how old and why did you get hooked on it. mine was Anyonymous 22's episode.
The first episode I saw was The Tholian Web from the original series, I was 9 ot 10, the very first scene I remember is Uhura seeing Captain Kirk in her quarters, and the Tholian ships weaving their net of glowing threads in space was what intrigued me the most.
and Francois, where are you i'm near where they keep the whales in Star Trek 4..
Happy Birthday to the Chief Nitpicker - Phil Farrand! Thanks for the site, Chief!
As I nitpicked on FB.... technically, it's only the anniversary of his birthday.
Unless the script specifically called out "birthday"....
Not a birthday but I'm celebrating (?) the 35th anniversary of starting at the only company I've ever worked for.
And you only get 20 years for murder ...
Sadly, Benedict Cumberbatch has not (yet) turned up to congratulate me.
Well, he sort of has ... (Click). I'm still hoping he'll arrive inside a cake this afternoon, with a pink bow tied around his neck and no other clothing whatsoever.
But I'm not holding my breath.
Remind me to show up with the nishta
Oh. My. God. I've turned 60. I'm officially an old fart.
Scott, how can I possibly remember to remind you? I've been blasted by that stuff so many times that I can barely remember my own ... something or other.
Congrats/commiserations, Butch!
And we don't even have CC around anymore to fetch Butch some Geritol!
Thanks, everyone. Now if I could only stop forgetting things.
And find a new (to me) truck.
Happy Birthday to Me!
Happy Birthday to Me!
Happy Birthday to Me-eeee!
Happy Birthday to Me!
I think the only proper reply to this would be Happy Birthday.
My birthday is the same as Anthony Perkins ("Norman Bates"), April 4
I hope you had a lovely day, Scott.
Did you need a fire permit to light the candles on your cake, ScottN? ;-)
Happy birthday, and many, many more. :-)
Happy birthday, ScottN!
