Not a Garth Ennis fan (I don't hate his work, it's mainly he writes subjects I don't usually read) so I tried this one first.

It felt like all set-up and not a lot of story. What the situation is, who the characters are (kind of) and not much else. It's a very cold story, no pun intended*, and I just didn't find myself caring about what happens to any of these people. I didn't like them. I didn't hate them. They just existed.

* It's set in Russia during WWII, so lots of snow.

The art is nice.

Goodnight Paradise #1

Uhhh... wow. Who do they think the audience is for this book?

It's about a homeless guy with problems and he discovers a dead girl. Now that sounds like it could be an interesting idea for a murder mystery, but I have no idea if that's the direction this story is going. It kind of... rambles. Yeahhhhh...

The 7 Deadly Sins #1

This one was better, not great, but interesting. It's a western, and a religious man frees 6 prisoners for a mission. All seven characters represent one of the seven deadly sins.

The Fearsome Doctor Fang #1

Lucky me, I saved the best for last. This is fun. A mash-up of Yellow Peril/Fu Manchu style trappings, an obsessed cop trying to find the villain who killed his brother, and Indiana Jones style action-adventure.
