Based on the CW horror TV series, this is suppose to be a six issue series showing how John Winchester got into Hunting. As I write this, the first two issues are already out with the third coming later this month.

Maybe it's just me, but compared to Serenity: Those Left Behind, the artwork looks rather crude. Though you could argue that it's a stylistic choice.

When Missouri is talking about the supernatural, there's a panel with some of the various entities featured on the show. From left to right, they are: Vanir, Hook Man, Bloody Mary, shapeshifter, Woman in White, vampire. Though admittedly I'm not one hundred percent sure on those last three.

The epilogue in the first issue was kind of interesting, particularly in showing that Sam is kept in the dark about Hunting. Wonder if that was part of his eventual estrangement with John.

A wild guess, but I suspect that the guy who helps out John at the graveyard in the second issue is Daniel Elkins (from Dead Man's Blood).

Loved the show.
