Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was a small, cult favorite series that never became a popular franchise with cartoons, movies and tons of toys.

Splinter is shocked when the turtles start speaking and their first word is his name Splinter.
How would they know his name is Splinter? Does he spend a lot of time talking to himself?

Hmmm... is Mirage still working as a publisher? Somehow I think it ended sometime ago, so that "(1984-present)" needs to be changed.

According to Wikipedia, Mirage shut down in 2021.

Of course the Turtles proper got sold, so I believe Image(?) carried on the Mirage version.

One of the co-creators is currently doing The Last Ronin featuring the last living Turtle.
