Cliffhanger!

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Comic books: DC: Cliffhanger!

Battle Chasers is one of my favorite comics of all time. Absolutely beautiful. One thing though, I wish the producers would speed up the release dates a bit. Waiting for months just to get #6 after #5 came out was horrible! But I guess if it helps to keep the quality high...go for it.

crimson is the best cliffhanger comic out. great art, wonderful story, and it comes out pretty much on time. what's not to love?

Crimson was a comic about Alex Elder who becomes a new type of vampire.

Untitled Crimson #1

Page 11, Panels 3 & 4. Alex says, "All I want is to go to one freaking party!" and his father responds, "Alex Elder -- how dare you use that language in front of your mother and sister?!"
Huh? Now maybe if they had used something like @$@#$#, or did the crossed out word thing, or even actually used a real cuss word, that line would make sense, but considering that 1. this book is not Comics Code approved, 2. features a villainess on the cover that is wearing leather briefs and tape covering her nipples & 3. a bit on the gory side, having the father freak out over "freaking" is just over the top silly.

Untitled Crimson: Scarlet X: Blood On The Moon (one-shot)

I considered that a book labeled Crimson not having the star in it a nit, but then it's not like Crimson is a name Alex Elder uses as a secret identity, it's just the name of the book. Still it seems ridiculous to have two colons in the title.

At the end of this story (set in the past on her first mission) when Scarlet finds out Joe has become a vampire she is very tearful and sad, and yet, in issue 5 of the regular series, she seemed very cold and distant to Joe. If that was there first reunion since Mexico City you'd think she might have been happy to see him.

Never heard of this title.

Cliffhanger! was an imprint that started at Image then went to DC, not a title.

Crimson and Battle Chasers were two of the books that came out under it.

Not sure if they appeared on newsstands or just comic shops.

Not sure myself.
