Here's my nit:

The new Vorlon (for simplicity's sake, I'll just call him Purple) is supposed to appear in the eyes of everyone except the senior staff and the med-techs involved to be Kosh. But why does Purple wear a dramatically different encounter suit and breath a lot heavier than Kosh did?

Contrary to what the Vorlons are likely to think, we younger races aren't *that* blind.

Ranger in Training but that was the point He was meant to be a different person.

By Adam Howarter on Monday, April 05, 1999 - 10:39 pm:

His name was Ulkesh. What he ment was everyone was to call him Kosh, the different encounter suit could be explained away as "he changed clothes."

By RichieVest on Tuesday, April 06, 1999 - 8:13 am:

Adam No His name is Kosh. They are all Kosh.

By Ranger In Training on Friday, April 09, 1999 - 1:05 pm:

Thank you, Richie the Vorlon :-).

My point is that Ulkesh obviously isn't going to pass off as Kosh, so why didn't the Vorlon Empire send someone in a similar costume?

By Adam Howarter on Friday, April 09, 1999 - 2:06 pm:

Why wouldn't he pass as Kosh? Nobody has seen what Kosh really looks like. So he changes costumes, so what? Don't you change costumes? As Sheridan pointed out at the start of the season
"You've been back and forth from your homeword so many times how do I know you're the same Vorlon? Inside that encounter suite you could be anyone."
Indeed, how DO we know the Vorlon that saved him was the one that died?

By Ranger In Training on Monday, April 12, 1999 - 1:24 pm:

Good point, I admit. But Sheridan was talking about the Vorlon UNDERNEATH the suit. My point, once again, is that Ulkesh and Kosh wore very different encounter suits, so I personally don't see why anyone with eyes is going to believe that this guy is Kosh.

By Adam Howarter on Monday, April 12, 1999 - 3:36 pm:

Why wouldn't they? Just tell them he changed suits and ask them if thats a crime now.

By Adam Howarter on Monday, April 12, 1999 - 3:39 pm:

As long as they don't ask him "who are you?" everything will be fine.

By Richie Vest on Monday, April 12, 1999 - 5:43 pm:

Adam No No they should never ask "What do you want?"

By Adam Howarter on Monday, April 12, 1999 - 11:40 pm:

NO NO! A Vorlon *could* (but doesn't want to) answer the question "What do you want." But, as Sheridan pointed out, *CAN'T* answer the question "who are you?"
A Shadow *could* (but will not) answer the question "who are you?" But can't, as Sheridan pointed out, answer what do YOU want?"
Thats the thing, they can answer the other's question, but they can't answer their own question.
When Sheridan asks them their questions he clearly asks each side their own question. They clearly just stand there. They know who the other is or what the other wants, but have lost sight of who they are, and what they what.
Ask Ulkesh "what do you want?" and he'll say something (even if its "never ask that!") Ask him "who are you?" and he'll look at you dumbfounded.

By Richie Vest on Tuesday, April 13, 1999 - 6:48 am:

Ok you are right

By Ranger In Training on Tuesday, April 13, 1999 - 1:53 pm:

Alright, I can see I'm not getting anywhere with the looks of the suit, so I'll go on to Ulkesh's voice. It sounds quite a bit different from Kosh, and he sure acts a lot different from Kosh as well, so anyone who saw Kosh often would notice some behavioural differences in Ulkesh.

By Adam Howarter on Tuesday, April 13, 1999 - 3:39 pm:

Nobody saw Kosh often. He didn't get out much. Or more generally everyone that was "close" to Kosh knew he was dead. It was the minor ambassadors (even Londo and G'Kar), the stations support staff, and the general public that they were trying to fool. The voice? Even Vorlons get colds, or the new suit makes his voice sound different.

I noticed that the new Vorlons Transport was a different colour than the old Kosh's.
Koshs ship was yellow with the blue braking vanes, whereas this newer ships is an orange-red colour.

By Fab on Thursday, June 07, 2001 - 11:33 am:

Adam: I thought that, when asked "Who are you?", Kosh said "I am who I have always been." Or was that in response to a different question? It's been a couple o' years so I don't remember it perfectly.

By Adam on Friday, June 08, 2001 - 6:28 am:

I don't remember either. That was 2 years ago and I haven't seen the show in that time.

By Sophie on Wednesday, August 27, 2003 - 1:51 pm:

Kosh's death is supposed to be a secret, known only to the command staff and medical personel involved. This being the case, why is Ivanova speaking so openly and loudly about 'the new Vorlon ambassador' in C&C at the start? I thought C&C staff didn't rank as 'command staff'.

Pat Tallman’s name is misspelled when it comes up after the opening credits. It appears as “Patrica Tallman”.
