NITS
- The hatch on the mystery spacecraft is square or a rectangle from the outside, but inside its round like the ones in B5's down below.
Another incident of Captain Kirk Syndrome
- The entire command senior officers enter the ship which is kind of stupid especially since they don't know if the ship is dangerous.

Anti-nit; The ship has a small airlock, the inner door is round, the outer square.

It gets worse than that - When they have reason to believe Garibaldi has found the creature the entire command staff run off to combat it themselves.
Don't they have heavily armed and armoured security staff to combat hostile aliens? Or where they all on a coffee break at this time?
Nit; Ivonova comments that the cryogenic pods seen and used here are history, and she only knows what they are because she saw some in the space and history museum.
However future episodes will reveal Earthforce uses identical pods to store people in.
Yes, the security force heard about the alien, thought, "Oh Sheridan & co will deal with that" and carried on drinking their coffee! I mean, surely someone has noticed how the all command crews/heroes have that invisisble force field which enables them to not get injured in any way (maybe the odd scratch here and there)? If I were part of the security team, I'd just let them sort it out!

Actually, Ivanova breaks her foot and must use a cane for a few episodes (the episode where she's promoted to commander), Garibaldi wears a cast on his arm (from fighting the EarthForce invading army) for a few episodes, Garibaldi uses a cane for a couple of episodes after he's shot in the back...
That's what I mean about a scratch or two. Considering that they put themselves in the firing line on more than one occaision, they come out with fairly minor injuries (with the exception of Sheridan, I'll admit dying is pretty serious. Only that doesn't seem to bother him for about 20 years). On the other hand, security forces who throw themselves into the fighting get mowed down in their....well, it would be hundreds if they had the budget, I'm sure :-).
Not that I'm having a serious argument here, it's all tongue in cheek, really.

Sheridan/Kirk/Picard/Sisko/Janeway/Archer; 'Your bullets/PPG/generic energy weapon/high explosives/knife/large warship can not kill me...for I am the Captain!'
*disclaimer from Sheridan* 'Although making me jump into a bottomless pit and then dropping several nukes on me will kill me for a few weeks'
The only guaranteed way to kill the Captain on Trek or B5 seems to involve throwing them over the edge of a cliff - Sheridan, Kirk and Sisko all suffered this fate, although only Kirk remained dead.
Message whited out by the moderator as it contains spoilers for future episodes. Bad Cyber!! Who d'you think you are, JMS doing the commentaries?!
Cyber, please avoid spoilers for future episodes (or put them in white with a warning). Thanks.
Those don't count, Torque, those were the actors actually getting injured
Here's a thought. It could be said that, as Amis, Dwight Schultz was essentially portraying a darker, more serious version of his A-Team character.
