Bryon James is one of my favorite character actors. He was GREAT in "Blade Runner" and almost the only reason to see "My Enemy, My Friend".

And don't forget JmS where it all began. My guess would be that it is an inside joke that they were all originally the "same characters", but recreated in others due to recasting.
