OK... anyone else thinks that changes in B5 were always for the worse?
Franklin instead of Kyle ( did they look for the only actor who could top Kyle's over the top performance?), Stoic Delen for annoying Delen, Under the gun sinclair for smily, the shadows for Clark as a villan, and then Clark for the Drazies, Marcus for Byron, and finally, JMS substituded Lochley for Ivanova :-(
1. Claudia Christian left she was not replaced.
2. As for the rest NO!
Well, except for Byron - he was no replacement for Marcus! Marcus had a sense of humour and was fun; Byron was dull. I never managed to develop any sympathy for the telepaths, mainly because of Byron being so uninteresting.
Well, JMS shouldn't have let CC go, especially since everything seems to suggest it was an ego thing.
And Lochly is a poor substitude anyway
Am I the only guy around who actully liked Byron?
Very probably. ;-)
I was not very impressed with Sheridan, especially in comparison with Sinclair, until the episode "In the Shadows of Z'Ha'Dum". He showed real strength of character there and I now think of him and Sinclair as equals(*equal* not the *same*).
I despise Sheridan, I think Buxlinder, or whatever his name is, is nothing more then an average actor ( also I've heard he's a very nice person), and come 'on, you can't possibly like a man who said the line "Now get the hell out of MyGalaxy'
about 'Shadow of Z'Ha'Dum' I think it was mentioned that it proves Sheridan has ( thankfully) very little in HISTORY!
I'm tired of Sherridan bashing. He was always, from the first episode he was on, my favorite character.
I too much preferred Sheridan to Sinclair. I watched the first half dozen episodes of Season 1 but stopped watching after that because I really couldn't warm to Sinclair and so couldn't get into the series. I caught the series again shortly after Sheridan had joined and was instantly hooked - I found him to be a much more likeable person.
Once the series had finished I went back and watched season 1 again and, now that I was more interested, found that I could like Sinclair, but Sheridan remains my favourite of the two.
I like both Sheridan and Sinclair. They were very different characters, having the same intials didn't make them duplicates.
He said get the hell out of OUR galaxy not MY galaxy
Does anyone know how Captain Sheridan was supposedly related to the Civil War hero General
Phil Sheridan?
Would people have liked the character of Sheridan better, if Michael York had played the role ?
(Apparently, he was the Network's "original" choice for Sheridan, but it fell through for some reason)
