The Technomage Triology

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Babylon 5: Novels: The Technomage Triology

Fantastic series of novels! They added depth to both the technomages themselves, and to Galen as well. I could actually hear Michael Ansara's and Peter Woodward's voices as I read about Elric and Galen. These books also brought in dialogue The Geometry of Shadows and added many layers of depth to that episode. And the final secrets of the technomage's powers will shock you! These are must read books for any Babylon 5 fan.

These books should be made into a mini-series.

Afraid I'm going to disagree with that. I thought it was horrible. Characterization was particularly dodgy, with Elric coming across as an arrogant jerk, Galen as a whiny puke, and Morden (this really rubbed me the wrong way) as a bungling incompetent. Plus the resolution seemed so lame. Surprising, since her other B5 book (can't recall the title, but it's the one about Sheridan taking command of the Agamemnon) was pretty decent.

Gordon,

Well we will have to agree to disagree on this then.

Strange how we could arrive at opposite conclusions on the same book. Keep in mind that this was Galen pre-Crusade. I think it explains a great deal about how he developed to become the way he is.
