I was wondering about the Hostage squence, was it the same footage from a "Deconstructing Falling Stars"?

"Remember Byron"

Just my opinion, but I never liked Byron. Something about him smacked of 'cult leader'. Also he stated that him and his telepaths wanted to live in peace, then they blackmail the ambassadors. Great thinking guys.

It took me a while to like Byron, and even then he scared me a little. I don't think he tried to start a cult, it just happened. His actions during the hostage situation redeemed his character for me, although I cannot completely follow the logic for his death.

This ep joins only 2 others that have had tears actually running down my cheeks. The other two are "Passing Through Gethsemane" and "Rising Star".

In Medlab, Garibaldi sits beside what looks like a 20th century 15" (?) crt monitor

You need to use freeze frame to see this:
As Lyta checks the tubes for an exit with her telepathic powers, there is a sign in one tube that reads "VERBOTEN" (forbidden). So what's forbidden? To be there? And why is this one sign in German, but all others on the station in English?

In answer to a question posed some 11 years I feel safe in saying; yes it was the footage from "Deconstructing Falling Stars." In fact the mismatch was so obvious that it took me completely out of the scene. The lighting in the Garibaldi shots was so different it was painful to try to imagine that they were supposed to be cutting back & fourth between stuff happening in the same room.
