It seems to me I did read this, and it is a novelization rather than a new story (unless it was actually written before the show came out). It portrayed Quinn as a real chauvanist, so I didn't really like it, and if there are any other novels I probably won't read them, especially if it's by the same author.
Now, if Ashley McConnell were to write one... She's done novels of Highlander and Quantum Leap, and they're really good.
