Just Say Yes

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Sliders: Season Four: Just Say Yes
The Sliders land on a new Earth near a bar. Unfortunately, the group is squabbling amongst themselves. A nearby man overhears the fight and contacts some guards. They enter and shoot Colin and Maggie with tranquilizer darts--- but instead of knocking them out, the darts are full of drugs to make them happy. Unfortuantely, Maggie is nearly hit by a truck becuase her body is not used to the drugs; she has wandered out into a street, prancing around. Colin and Maggie are hauled off to a training center, where they become the "perfect couple", i.e. June and Ward Cleaver. Quinn and Rembrandt investigate the use of drugs and a quick recovery for their companions and are attacked by a guard who is pumped full of an untried strength enhancing chemical. The two Sliders find that Quinn on this world is anti-drugs, but unknowing to them, the Quinn from this world is apparently dead. They manage to outwit the guard and when he comes to, convince him to join their anti-drug cause. They rescue and use a drug to wear off the effects on Colin and Maggie, but a businessman who is in the "hierarchy" and plans to stop Quinn is pumped full of a drug, making him go crazy. A doctor, who had to go against her conscience to put the drugs in the guard, helps them put Colin and Maggie through "detox" and the Sliders leave the world...

They sure fit in a lot of action in this episode considering that it took place over only 9 hours (or something close to that).

Damian sure takes a pounding when fighting quinn and remmy, with all the hits he took, you'd think he would have brocken something, i dont recall themsaying anything about the drug making you physically imune to injury, just real strong.

J.August Richards is better known now for playing
Charles Gunn on ANGEL.

The scenes with Colin and Maggie high were pretty
hilarious, especially the one where Maggie bakes
the cookies and Colin admits they were the worse
he's ever eaten. Also looks like Maggie did a
thorough job of burning them.Wonder what Maggie's
reaction was AFTER they got cleaned out.

When Quinn and Remmy break into the doctor's offic
Quinn notes that everyone is so blissed out that
they probably don't have any crime or police,so
why do the Paramedics carry tranquilzers if everyone is so blissed out all the time?

Wouldn't Maggie's different biochemsitry explain
her reaction to the drugs?

Speaking of biochemistry, since none of the SLIDERS
have a normal biochemistry for that world wouldn't
Colin have had an reaction to the drug as well,
aside from wanting more that is?
