Slide Like an Egyptian

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Sliders: Season Three: Slide Like an Egyptian

The pyramid being able to rotate is nuts. Why? And what would be the engineering requirements of a drive system?

Secondly, the continuity - the pyramid is rotating like crazy, yet the synch between the floor opening and the tunnel shows very slow movement, and even retrograde movement.

They could have had the pyramid shown as rotating much more slowly, or found a way to do it from a closer vantage point, showing a corner point moving past safety margin pylons that are installed to keep people and vehicles away from the area covered by the rotation.

The slowest moving area inside would be near the center of the pyramid. Also, to depict the reappearance of the same opening, the pyramid would have had to go into reverse.

Best solution: show just the foot of one corner of the pyramid moving past spectators (people paying homage to the deceased?) as they stand on a city street (actually, having pyramids in a built-up area would be wasteful as more and more are added, becoming "dead" parts of the municipality that will never be redeveloped). People would exclaim and remark as the pyramid inexplicably stops and moves backward.

Wade might be the person who causes the backward movement. They could find a remote computer terminal, and she could hack into it to get some control over the main computer, and change the rotation pattern so as to enable escape.
