The Weaker Sex

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Sliders: Season One: The Weaker Sex
Women wear the pants on this world. Women here fly planes, hold public office, play professional sports, and are the captains of industry. They can even become Pope, just ask Pope Jane Pauley! Men stay home and take care of the kids or, maybe, get a job as a receptionist. Hillary Clinton is president. One wonders if Elizabeth Dole ran against her in the 1996 election. Anyway, the Professor decides that this world could use a dose of a man in government - he campaigns for governor of California! His escapades to increase his public image go on and on ("Come here, sir! I must kiss your baby...!) but when the time comes to slide, the CNN results come in at Arturo Headquarters - he has lost. Dejected, he decides instead to continue on sliding rather than to remain on this world, opening the vortex himself. After jumping in, the vortex closes, leaving no one behind. No more than 10 seconds later, the Professor's aide runs in to the empty office. CNN just aired a final update - due to a mistake at the poll processing center, the wrong results were aired: Maxamillian Arturo is the new governor of California...
Note: "Mrs. President - 1st season - The Weaker Sex
In another photo op., President Hillary Clinton
greeted Pope Jane Pauley on the White House lawn
to mark the beginning of anotehr century of peace
and prosperity. Asked where her husband was on
this momentous day, President Clinton replied,
"He really wanted to be here, but one of the kids
is sick so he decided to stay home."

I think Aturo was running for Mayor of San Fran, not Gov.

After Prof. Maximillian Arturo allegedly loses the mayoral election in the episode in which females are predominant and the males are struggling to acquire equal rights, Quinn Mallory perforates a vortex situated on the ground. As the camera shots alternate between the individual duets of Quinn Mallory and Wade Wells and Rembrandt Brown and Prof. Maximillian Arturo, the door in the background goes from being slightly open to closed. Furthermore, perforating a vortex in the ground is detrimental if you cogitate it for a moment in that it may lead to the ground of a house pertaining to another dimension and embed the sliders into the floor.
