Last Days

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Sliders: Season One: Last Days
The group travels to a parallel dimension where an asteroid is on a collision course with earth, and Einstein never allowed nuclear weapons to be created. With only 48 hours until "Doomsday" (and 72 hours until the next slide), Arturo works feverishly with Bennish, an eccentric, yet brilliant young scientist Quinn knows from home, to recreate Einstein's equation for the atomic bomb - but will the atomic cure prove more deadly than an asteroid? After their efforts prove successful, Arturo and Bennish congratulate each other, and the group slides on. When they land, the Professor wonders where he left the plans for the bomb. As the show closes, we see Bennish's smirk as he walks away from the vortex, schematics in hand.

I Don't think that a nuclear bomb or even a Hydrogen Fusion Bomb is able to make a fine pouder out of a 10 miles large asteroid. I think, that there are still fragments left, which are large enough to kill a city or eaven a state.

Andreas, now the part I liked was where Bennish got on Arturo's nerves.

It was an interesting look into Rembrandt's past and his background. Jennifer Hetrick returns in "The Seer", but as a different character... maybe this episode's character is a "double" of the later one.

They seem to have forgotten about the romantic thread between Quinn and Wade in later episodes, which is a shame cause they would've made a great couple.

Funny, a few friends and I (just starting on the third season on DVD) were just noting the same thing...
