How did they get rid of her character?

In "This Slide of Paradise", Wade and Rembrant make it back to Earth Prime. However, Maggie and Quinn have a different timer and slide off, but manage to track the wormhole used by Wade and Rembrandt until they reach Earth Prime. They discovered that the Kromaggs had been following the wormhole, too, and after Wade and Rembrant arrived, the Kromaggs invaded Earth Prime.

Episodes in seasons four and five reveal that Wade was shipped off to Kromagg breeding camps and eventually was used in an experiment to use the unused portions of the human brain to open wormholes. The Kromaggs put Wade in a container; Wade managed to destroy the facility she was in (along with herself) using her telekinetic/telepathic/wormhole capabilities.

A terrible ending for a beloved character.I loved this series but it was clear that the network interference ruined the quality of this wonderful series causing the cast to one-by-one abandon the show.Sad because the original four cast members had a great chemistry between them & I liked each & every one of them.
