Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Sliders: Season Five: Applied Physics

The Sliders land on a world where a little girl approaches Diana, thinking she is her mother. The others wait while the doppleganger Diana retrieves her daughter without seeing our Diana. They go to a hotel where Quinn falls to the floor, relieving an experience of Quinn Mallory, when he was shot in a similar place on another Earth. The wound shows up on the new Quinn, who Maggie tells off, saying he is only Mallory to her.
Diana finds advanced dimensional equipement at a local university, and uses it to retrieve Geiger. She rejoins him, as long as he agrees to help save the other Sliders. He in turn tricks her into releasing him for a short while, at least. Meanwhile, she runs into the other Diana, who believes it is the cosmos who got them together. The other Diana never had Oberon to guide her, which he uses to convince Diana for her assistance. While this occurs, Maggie uses this world's high tech holographic equipment to enter Mallory and herself into the universe where Quinn and herself spent a lifetime together. Mallory is not happy that Maggie only seems to show interest in rescuing our Quinn.
Maggie and Mallory come to a sort of mututal agreement and face off against Geiger, when Diana makes a mistake to help save this world's Diana. Suddenly, the world's history is changed. The second Diana goes from dropout, single-mother to childless military scientist, who in turn stops Geiger, sending him back into the multiverse. This causes the other Diana pain, but with the vortex opened, there is nothing they can do, and so, they slide...
