The Aztecs: the evil high priest is even more powerful at the end then he was before Babs blundered in.

The Ultimate Foe: The Valeyard has escaped the Matrix and possessed the body of the Keeper

Yes, but, in the long run, both he, and his civilization are gonna lose when Cortez and his mooks show up.

The Ultimate Foe: The Valeyard has escaped the Matrix and possessed the body of the Keeper

Yes, but that's the last we ever see or hear of him.

No doubt he returned in a novel and/or audio, but I have no such knowledge of said novel and/or audio.

Yeah, but what you've gotta understand is that when Autloc wanders off into the wilderness he gets converted to Christianity (the novelisation) and OBVIOUSLY the saving of this soul is totally worth a few million more heathens getting their hearts ripped out.

There's a delightfully fanwanky Unbound audio in which the Valeyard wins - He Jests at Scars... - also, he presumably does SOMETHING a bit more canonical to get name-dropped in Twice Upon a Time.

A quick peek at TARDIS Wikia reveals there are numerous other Valeyard audios that *embarrassed cough* I'd kinda forgotten about...

The obvious Baddies WIN! story is Sleep No More, and what's more, due to the disinclination of everyone in the universe for a sequel, this is unlikely to ever be reversed...

Ascension of the Cybermen/The Timeless Children.

The Cybermen wipe out humanity. The Master wipes out Time Lordity. Oops.

Count Grendel. Next time, he shall not be so lenient!

Queen Strella will keep him in his place even if King Reynart wouldn't stand a chance in hell. (Admittedly I haven't finished Paul Cornell's Trials of Tara short story in iambic pentameter cos, y'know, it's a Paul Cornell short story in iambic pentameter.)

But he teams up with the Kandyman!
