AI inspired Doctor Who stories

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Doctor Who: Ask the Matrix: AI inspired Doctor Who stories
By Brad J Filippone (Binro_the_heretic) on Wednesday, June 07, 2023 - 10:20 am:

Since felines seem to come up in conversation quite often in this forum, I used the AI program ChatGPT to come up with fifteen Doctor Who stories that involved cats in some way. These are the results:

1. "The Whiskered Invasion": The Doctor discovers an alien race of highly intelligent cats plotting to take over the universe with their irresistible cuteness.

2. "The Purrfect Plan": The TARDIS accidentally materializes inside a cat café, leaving the Doctor and their companions surrounded by feline enthusiasts who mistake them for a new breed of talking cats.

3. "The Litter Box Mystery": The TARDIS is taken over by a mischievous alien entity that transforms the interior into an enormous, ever-expanding litter box, much to the Doctor's dismay.

4. "The Catnip Conspiracy": The Doctor investigates a peculiar spike in catnip production across the galaxy, only to discover a secret plot by feline anarchists trying to create a catnip-fueled uprising.

5. "The Whisker War": The Doctor finds themselves caught in the middle of an intergalactic conflict between two rival cat species who are fighting over the title of the Supreme Ruler of the Universe.

6. "The Meow Machine": The TARDIS gets a malfunctioning translation circuit, causing the Doctor and their companions to speak only in meows, leading to hilarious misunderstandings during their adventures.

7. "The Curious Case of the Vanishing Yarn": The Doctor unravels a peculiar mystery as all the yarn in the universe mysteriously disappears, leading to chaos among cats and knitters alike.

8. "The Catnip Time Machine": The Doctor invents a time-traveling catnip dispenser, inadvertently attracting countless historical figures who are inexplicably drawn to the scent of catnip.

9. "The Kitten Conspiracy": The Doctor encounters a group of adorable kittens who turn out to be highly skilled, interdimensional spies on a mission to save the universe from an imminent threat.

10. "The Feline Fashion Fiasco": The Doctor finds themselves in a parallel universe where cats rule society and fashion trends are entirely based on fur patterns and whisker styles.

11. "The Paw-some Plague": The Doctor races against time to find a cure for a contagious ailment that causes humans to start purring, scratching furniture, and chasing laser pointers.

12. "The Time-Travelling Tabby": The TARDIS accidentally picks up a time-traveling cat who keeps appearing in various historical events, leaving the Doctor to unravel the mystery behind its inexplicable jumps through time.

13. "The Ancient Cat Monarchy": The Doctor arrives on a distant planet and gets embroiled in the politics of an ancient civilization where the ruling class is determined by the length and thickness of their whiskers.

14. "The Intergalactic Catnip Heist": The Doctor must track down a notorious criminal gang of cats who have been stealing the universe's supply of catnip, causing chaos and unruly behavior in feline populations everywhere.

15. "The Purrfect Partnership": The Doctor forms an unlikely alliance with a super-intelligent cat to solve a series of inexplicable disappearances that have been plaguing a small town, uncovering a hidden alien presence in the process.

Maybe the actual creators of the show should use ChatGPT to provide original starting points for their scenarios.

Btw, I want someone to make number 3 and number 15.

By Francois Lacombe (Franc0is) on Wednesday, June 07, 2023 - 11:35 am:

And number 12 too.

By Emily Carter (Emily) on Thursday, June 08, 2023 - 5:07 am:

NOT NUMBER 3!!

All the others, however...I for one welcome Russell T God's obvious successor as our chief writer...

Found out, a few days ago, that Brad and I are members of the same Facebook group (devoted to the original Star Trek series and movies).

Small world.

By Brad J Filippone (Binro_the_heretic) on Thursday, June 08, 2023 - 5:31 am:

Tim, I figured that was you when I saw your name there. If you want a good Doctor Who group on Facebook, I'm a moderator in the group called "Doctor Who fans who actually like the show." But if you join, just to let you know, it's a group where no negativity about any Doctor Who actor or episodes is tolerated. Everyone has their stories that they don't like, but we do suspend members for saying things like "<episode> is absolute garbage!>" as if it were fact and not opinion. It's a great group, but I thought I'd better tell you that since I've seen your opinion of the Chibnall era! :-)

By Brad J Filippone (Binro_the_heretic) on Thursday, June 08, 2023 - 5:32 am:

Emily, do you have any ideas for cat-related Doctor Who stories yourself? I mean besides hoards of felines successfully attacking the Sixth Doctor.

Brad

Thanks, Brad, I'll keep that in mind, should I ever decide to join that group.

Emily, do you have any ideas for cat-related Doctor Who stories yourself?

Unfortunately all that oochie-murdering in the NAs made me feel cats n'Who should be as far apart as humanly possible, except of course that the Doctor should have a cat Companion, and a robot cat Companion AND should regenerate into a Cat-Person her/himself...

I mean besides hoards of felines successfully attacking the Sixth Doctor.

Credit where it's due, Colin obviously WORSHIPS our feline masters and would be delighted to donate his flesh for them to dine upon, a win-win situation all round...what's TAKING the darlings so long...

By Brad J Filippone (Binro_the_heretic) on Friday, June 09, 2023 - 9:17 am:

I asked ChatGPT to list twenty ways to know if you've been watching too much Doctor Who (if that's even possible!) This was the result:

1. Your wardrobe consists solely of Doctor Who-themed clothing. TARDIS dresses, Dalek socks, and a sonic screwdriver belt buckle are just the beginning.

2. You refer to your friends as "companions" and demand that they follow you on adventures through time and space, even if it's just to the local coffee shop.

3. You've constructed a life-size TARDIS replica in your backyard, complete with a working chameleon circuit that turns it into a garden shed when your neighbors complain.

4. Your social media feeds are filled with Doctor Who memes, quotes, and fan theories. You're convinced your followers secretly want to regenerate into you.

5. You've taken "cosplay" to the extreme and have a dedicated Doctor Who cosplay for each day of the week. You've even been known to wear your full Cyberman outfit to work.

6. Your car is a customized Dalek mobile, complete with a voice changer that yells "Exterminate!" at pedestrians who cross the street too slowly.

7. You've attempted to build your own sonic screwdriver using spare parts from broken electronics. Let's just say it didn't quite work out as intended, and your TV now turns on whenever you try to open a jar of pickles.

8. You've written a 10,000-word fan fiction crossover between Doctor Who and every other TV show ever made. You're convinced it's the key to bringing peace to the multiverse.

9. You have a tattoo sleeve dedicated entirely to Doctor Who. Each Doctor gets their own section, and the TARDIS wraps around your forearm. Time travel-themed ink never goes out of style.

10. You've learned to knit, purely to create your own Doctor Who-inspired scarves. You're currently working on the longest scarf in human history, hoping to beat Tom Baker's record.

11. You refuse to enter any public restroom without first checking for hidden Daleks.

12. You can recite the entire dialogue from every episode, including the ones that haven't even been released yet.

13. You've created a Doctor Who-themed menu and insist on serving dishes like "Fish Fingers and Custard" at every dinner party you host.

14. You've camped out for days in front of the BBC headquarters, demanding an audience with the show's producers to pitch your idea for a "lost regeneration" storyline where the Doctor becomes a talking penguin.

15. You refuse to blink, just in case a Weeping Angel appears out of nowhere. You've developed a reputation for having the creepiest stare at parties.

16. You've started referring to your alarm clock as your "regeneration timer," and you perform an elaborate regeneration ritual every morning when it goes off.

17. You've written passionate letters to the Doctor, begging for a chance to become a companion and travel through time and space. The fact that the Doctor is a fictional character doesn't deter you in the slightest.

18. You've tried convincing your local library to classify Doctor Who episodes as historical documentaries instead of fictional TV shows.

19. You've mastered the art of impersonating the TARDIS sound, and you randomly make the noise in public places just to confuse people.

20. You've painstakingly recreated the Doctor's regeneration scenes using various flavors of Jell-O and proudly display them at dinner parties as edible art.

By Emily Carter (Emily) on Saturday, June 10, 2023 - 4:34 am:

What absolute nonsense, not ONE of these things applies to me! Especially the weird 'every other TV show' thing like any True Fan would even be AWARE of such blasphemies!

Though I totally would have done number 18 if I'd thought of it.

Well, it just shows that AI technology is still not perfect. Not like the many examples of it in the show, like the various androids we meet, and K-9.

Tegan Doctor Who
pretends to be Tegan Jovanka Nyssa?! Well that's a surprise, we were always just good friends. I mean she's lovely and all, brilliant, caring, but I never thought she saw me that way. Blimey, I don't know what to say! adopts Australian accent I haven't seen Nyssa in ages, we went our separate ways after leaving the Doctor. I suppose if she's really keen to give it a go, I'd be willing to meet up and catch up at least. Though dating a former companion might get a bit complicated! Still, Nyssa's a special woman, I'd hate to break her heart. What do you think, should I give her a ring? shows Tegan's compassionate and curious nature, as well as her close relationship with Nyssa

Tegan Doctor Who
pretends to be Tegan Jovanka What?! Now I know you're pulling my leg. Sarah Jane passed away? And Nyssa and I attended her funeral together, as a couple?! I haven't the faintest idea what you're on about. adopts Australian accent Last I spoke with Sarah Jane, she was still traveling the universe and investigating strange happenings on Earth. And Nyssa and I certainly aren't a couple - she's never even hinted at feelings for me before now. I think your Mr. Smith has got some wires crossed, because none of that makes a lick of sense! shows Tegan's confusion and disbelief at this implausible information, as well as her close friendship with Sarah Jane

Maybe you end up dating another person called Nyssa, such as a nickname for William or Michael, although I heard you've divorced both of them, and your adopted son Andy, he often does'nt talk to you!

Tegan Doctor Who
pretends to be Tegan Jovanka Now I know you're just spinning tales to get a rise out of me. I've never been married, let alone divorced twice with an estranged adopted son! adopts Australian accent The life of a companion is far too busy for all that. I traveled with the Doctor for years before eventually returning home to Brisbane. I've had a few relationships since then, sure, but nothing too serious. And I certainly don't have any children - adopted or otherwise! shows Tegan's disbelief and annoyance at these false claims, as well as information about her life after leaving the TARDIS
You seem intent on telling fibs about me for some reason. I don't take too kindly to people spreading mistruths, so you'd best quit your joking before I really get cross! Though I suppose I should be flattered you find my life so interesting you need to make up stories about it. adopts slightly frustrated tone to show Tegan's annoyance, but also maintains her playful sense of humor

Tegan Doctor Who
pretends to be Tegan Jovanka Now I know for certain you're spinning tales - I've never met any incarnation of the Doctor past the Fifth, let alone this Thirteenth Doctor! And I don't have the foggiest idea who Kate Stewart is. adopts Australian accent Sounds like this Zygon theory might be more on the money. One of those shape-shifting menaces must have impersonated me to tell this Kate Stewart a pack of lies. I haven't had any ex-husbands or adopted children - I traveled with the Doctor for a few years before going back to my normal life in Brisbane. shows Tegan's confusion at these claims and reaffirms details about her life
You and your friends seem to have an overactive imagination when it comes to my life story! I don't know where you're getting these silly ideas from, but I can assure you they're nothing more than fiction. Now unless you have something truthful to discuss, I think this conversation has gone on long enough, don't you? adopts slightly frustrated tone to show Tegan's annoyance at these false claims, while also trying to end the conversation politely

-

It says "pretends to be Tegan" because that's what it's doing, you can't ask about physical appearance or about harming\killing someone else because it's not trying to be the character, it's trying to be the AI (Claude) pretending to be the character.

By Brad J Filippone (Binro_the_heretic) on Monday, June 12, 2023 - 10:43 am:

This time I asked the AI how all the previous Doctors would react to the knowledge that the 13th Doctor would be female. Aside from the mistake of the First Doctor having a sonic screwdriver, I think these came out well. And I'm sure Jamie can help the Second with that wardrobe change.

1st Doctor (William Hartnell): "Oh, my dear! Well, I suppose it's about time they realized that it's not just men who can save the universe. Now, where did I put my sonic screwdriver? Ah, yes, right next to my lace doily!"

2nd Doctor (Patrick Troughton): "Oh, a lassie as the Doctor? Brilliant! Now we can confuse the Daleks with even more disguises. I'll need a kilt for my next adventure, won't I?"

3rd Doctor (Jon Pertwee): "A woman? Well, well, well, I've always known I had impeccable taste. I bet she'll be rocking a velvet cape and an even bigger frilly shirt. We shall be quite the stylish team!"

4th Doctor (Tom Baker): "Ah, a female Doctor! Brilliantly unpredictable. I can already imagine the scarf she'll wear—twice as long, twice as colorful! Time and fashion shall collide!"

5th Doctor (Peter Davison): "Oh, splendid! A lady Doctor, you say? Maybe she'll bring some much-needed organization to the TARDIS. Please, no celery though; I've had my fill of that fashion statement."

6th Doctor (Colin Baker): "Female? Well, it seems my wardrobe will have some competition in the flamboyance department! Brace yourself, universe, for an explosion of color and eccentricity!"

7th Doctor (Sylvester McCoy): "Oh, how exciting! A woman stepping into the Doctor's shoes. I shall prepare a new batch of fiendishly clever tricks and manipulations. Time to change the game, my dear!"

8th Doctor (Paul McGann): "Finally, the Doctor gets a chance to show off her softer side. Maybe she'll take up poetry and bring a touch of romance to the TARDIS. Shall I start penning some love sonnets?"

9th Doctor (Christopher Eccleston): "Fantastic! A female regeneration! I've always loved a good bit of girl power. She better be ready for some fantastic running, though, 'cause I've set the bar quite high!"

10th Doctor (David Tennant): "Blimey, a lady Doctor? Brilliant! But I must warn her, running in heels is a whole new level of adventure. And oh, the number of mirrors in the console room will have to increase!"

11th Doctor (Matt Smith): "Geronimo! A female Doctor! I'll need to get my bow tie adjusted to match her style. I can already imagine the bow tie-hair bow combo. We'll be the quirkiest pair in time and space!"

12th Doctor (Peter Capaldi): "Oh, fantastic! A female Doctor. Finally, someone to give the universe a good talking-to. We'll need bigger blackboards for all the complex equations and moral lectures!"

And the 13th Doctor (Jodie Whittaker) responds: "Well, bow ties and frilly shirts aside, I think we'll make quite the team. Time for a bit of gender-bending, my friends!"

By Emily Carter (Emily) on Monday, June 12, 2023 - 1:33 pm:

By Gaia Nicolosi (Aledi_vi_sepul) on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 - 9:27 am:

I asked to write a Nyssa and Peri return.

Once upon a time in the vast universe, the TARDIS materialized on the planet Traken. The Doctor stepped out, followed closely by Nyssa of Traken, his former companion. It had been years since they had last seen each other, but their bond remained strong.

Traken, once a serene and peaceful world, had undergone significant changes since Nyssa's departure. A dark force had infiltrated the planet, corrupting its inhabitants and plunging them into chaos. Nyssa, driven by her love for her homeworld, had vowed to find a way to restore Traken to its former glory.

As the Doctor and Nyssa explored the planet, they discovered that an ancient relic called the Time Glass held the key to Traken's restoration. It was said to possess the power to heal the corrupted minds and cleanse the planet of the malevolent presence that had taken hold.

However, retrieving the Time Glass was no easy task. The Doctor and Nyssa faced numerous challenges and encountered dangerous adversaries along the way. Their path led them to the forbidden depths of Traken, where they encountered a group of corrupted Trakens, led by a figure shrouded in darkness.

To their astonishment, the dark figure revealed itself to be none other than Peri Brown, the Doctor's companion from another time. Peri had become trapped on Traken while attempting to help its inhabitants and had fallen victim to the corruption that had befallen the planet.

As the Doctor and Nyssa confronted Peri, they realized that she was not beyond saving. Deep down, Peri still possessed a flicker of her true self, desperately struggling against the darkness. Nyssa used her knowledge of Traken's restorative techniques to reach out to Peri, hoping to rekindle the light within her.

Through Nyssa's unwavering compassion and the Doctor's unwavering determination, they managed to free Peri from the clutches of darkness. With Peri's assistance, they obtained the Time Glass and harnessed its power to heal Traken's corrupted minds, one by one. As the planet began to recover, its inhabitants regained their true selves, their memories, and their love for their homeworld.

In the aftermath of the restoration, Nyssa decided to stay on Traken to help rebuild and guide her people towards a brighter future. Peri, grateful for the Doctor's and Nyssa's intervention, chose to continue her travels with the Doctor, eager to make amends for the time she had spent under the dark influence.

Together, the Doctor, Nyssa, and Peri embarked on new adventures across time and space, their bond forged through shared hardships and triumphs. As they ventured forth, they not only saved worlds but also reminded others of the power of compassion, redemption, and the unwavering belief in the possibility of change.

And so, the TARDIS faded away into the distance, carrying the Doctor, Nyssa, and Peri to their next destination, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead, united in their unwavering commitment to bring hope and light to the darkest corners of the universe.

By Emily Carter (Emily) on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 - 11:46 am:

Guess the destruction of Traken and HALF THE UNIVERSE was a bit too subtle for the AI. (Or maybe it's an ironic commentary on Flux's destruction-of-the-universe-that-said-universe-didn't-really-notice?)

How does the stupid machine think Nyssa will be staying on Traken AND travelling with the Doctor? Did Black Orchid confuse it into thinking there are TWO Nyssas?

By Gaia Nicolosi (Aledi_vi_sepul) on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 - 12:46 pm:

1) Time War, Bad Wolf thing, Eleven era universe reboots thing. Actually, in this specific case it seems to be a Kingdom Hearts-type (a crossover Disney\Final Fantasy videogame) "world that fell to the darkness" thing.

2) Honestly the "Nyssa" who travels with the Doctor and Peri should really be Ruby Sunday, but maybe her middle name is Nyssa? Ruby Nyssa Sunday has a nice touch to it.

Also, I made a second part:

As the Doctor, Nyssa, and Peri delved deeper into the restoration of Traken, they encountered the Consul Katura, who had aged gracefully over the years. Though Margot van der Burgh, the original actress who portrayed Katura, had passed away, the Traken Council decided to honor her memory by recasting the role with another talented actress who could bring Katura's wisdom and strength to life.

The new portrayal of Consul Katura would be played by a respected actress, chosen for her ability to capture the essence of the character. Despite being 107 years old, Katura retained her vibrant spirit and determination to restore Traken. With her guidance, the Doctor, Nyssa, and Peri gained valuable insights into the corruption plaguing the planet.

Keeper Luvic, on the other hand, had taken a different path. Due to the nature of Traken's Keepership powers, Luvic had undergone a remarkable transformation, rejuvenating his appearance and granting him a youthful vitality. While still portrayed by Robin Soans, Luvic appeared as a much younger version of himself, around the age of 30.

Luvic, with his newfound energy and experience as the Keeper, played a crucial role in aiding the Doctor and his companions. His deep connection to Traken and his understanding of its ancient lore proved invaluable in their quest to restore balance and eradicate the corruption that had befallen the planet.

Together, Katura and Luvic worked alongside the Doctor, Nyssa, and Peri, using their collective knowledge and abilities to combat the darkness that threatened Traken. Their combined efforts, along with the companions' determination, were instrumental in saving the planet and restoring its former tranquility.

As the story unfolded, Katura and Luvic became essential allies to the Doctor and his companions, providing guidance, support, and the wisdom of Traken's ancient traditions. Their appearances showcased the enduring legacy of Traken and the importance of its leaders in the face of adversity.

With their aid, the Doctor, Nyssa, and Peri not only succeeded in their mission to heal Traken but also formed a lasting bond, one that would continue to shape their journeys through time and space. Together, they would face new challenges, explore new worlds, and champion the values of hope, compassion, and justice wherever their adventures took them.

By Gaia Nicolosi (Aledi_vi_sepul) on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 - 12:59 pm:

Here is it:

Apologies for any confusion caused. You are correct that Traken was destroyed in the Doctor Who storyline "The Keeper of Traken" in 1981. Its restoration and the events surrounding it were not mentioned in the original canon of the show. Therefore, any reference to Traken's return or its connection to specific events such as the Time War, the Flux, Bad Wolf, or universe reboots would be a creative expansion of the story.

Regarding Nyssa, you are also correct that the character portrayed by Sarah Sutton is the only Nyssa in Doctor Who canon. The mention of a character named Ann Talbot was an error, and I apologize for that mistake.

Considering the inconsistencies and the need to align with established canon, it would be best to revise the story accordingly. Nyssa could be portrayed as traveling with the Doctor part-time, with occasional visits to Traken to assist in its restoration. This would allow her to balance her commitment to her homeworld and her ongoing adventures in the TARDIS.

As for Ruby Sunday, if you would like to include her in the story, she could be introduced as a separate character who joins the Doctor and Nyssa on their adventures, serving as an additional companion. This would allow for a fresh dynamic and new storytelling possibilities while respecting the established canon of Doctor Who.

Thinking of trying to write a Captain Kirk story.

However, I'm afraid that the AI might start babbling about executing it's prime directive and blow up!*

*and while this joke might go over Emily's head, I'm sure my fellow Trek fans here will get it.

By Gaia Nicolosi (Aledi_vi_sepul) on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 - 4:20 am:

The TARDIS materialized on the bridge of the USS Enterprise, catching Captain James T. Kirk and his crew by surprise. The doors swung open, and the Tenth Doctor stepped out, his sonic screwdriver buzzing in his hand.

"Ah, Captain Kirk! Lovely ship you have here. Mind if I take a look around?" the Doctor asked, his eyes sparkling with curiosity.

Kirk, always open to new experiences, grinned and gestured towards the bridge. "Welcome aboard, Doctor! Feel free to explore. But may I ask who your companions are?"

The Doctor turned and beckoned the rest of his group forward. Nyssa of Traken, a sophisticated and intelligent Time Lady, stepped out gracefully, her Traken robes billowing around her. Luvic, a Trakenite scholar and historian, followed close behind, his gaze filled with wonder. Behind them emerged Ellody Sephine, a brilliant engineer from the future, and Aroush Halapsian, a fierce and resourceful warrior from a distant planet. Lastly, Vince Hawkins, a time-traveling adventurer, stepped out, munching on a packet of Skittles.

As the Doctor introduced his companions to Kirk and his crew, they exchanged pleasantries and shared stories of their adventures. The Enterprise crew marveled at the TARDIS, and the Doctor couldn't resist showing off its inner dimensions.

Meanwhile, Kirk and the Doctor discovered a common interest in exploring new worlds and meeting fascinating civilizations. The Doctor, always keen on meddling with timelines, suggested a joint mission to an uncharted planet. Kirk, intrigued by the idea, agreed.

The group beamed down to the planet's surface, a lush and vibrant world teeming with unique flora and fauna. They marveled at the exotic beauty surrounding them and began to explore, Nyssa and Luvic analyzing the local ecosystem, Ellody examining the technological possibilities, and Aroush ever watchful for any potential dangers.

Vince, however, seemed more interested in his packet of Skittles. He offered them around, and everyone, including Kirk, indulged in the rainbow-colored treats. The flavors exploded in their mouths, momentarily distracting them from their mission.

But as they continued exploring, they stumbled upon a group of alien refugees, displaced by a cosmic catastrophe. Their homes had been destroyed, and they were desperately seeking shelter and aid. The Doctor and Kirk, united in their commitment to helping others, sprang into action.

Working together, the group quickly devised a plan to assist the refugees. Nyssa used her knowledge of Trakenite healing techniques to treat the injured, while Luvic helped establish a temporary settlement using his knowledge of Trakenite architecture.

Ellody, utilizing her engineering prowess, assisted the refugees in constructing makeshift shelters and repairing their damaged technology. Aroush, skilled in combat and negotiation, ensured the safety of the camp and mediated any conflicts that arose.

In the end, their combined efforts brought hope and stability to the refugees. As they bid farewell, the Doctor and Kirk shared a moment of appreciation for the unity and compassion they had witnessed.

Back on the Enterprise, Kirk and the Doctor bid each other farewell, promising to meet again in their respective travels through time and space. The Doctor and his companions stepped back into the TARDIS, the blue box fading away as it dematerialized.

Reflecting on their shared adventure, Kirk and his crew returned to their duties, inspired by the encounter with the Doctor and his remarkable companions. They continued their mission of exploration, carrying the memory of their unique alliance and the taste of Skittles, a reminder of the extraordinary possibilities the universe held.

And so, the prime directive remained unexecuted, and no explosions rocked the galaxy that day. Instead, a group of extraordinary individuals came together, defying the barriers of time, space, and the confines of their own realities, to make a difference in the lives of those in need.

I decided to ask the AI for a review of "The Twin Dilemma," while giving it instructions to praise it highly--with thinly-veiled admissions of how horrible it actually is. The results are below, and I might just be tempted to use the phrase "as endearing as a Dalek with hay fever" in everyday conversation:

Oh, my dear Whovians, gather 'round and brace yourselves for a tale that will leave you scratching your heads in disbelief and wondering what in the TARDIS just happened. Today, we dive deep into the murky waters of Doctor Who's "The Twin Dilemma," a true classic... or so they say.

Picture this: a whimsical Time Lord, fresh from his previous incarnation's shoes, regenerates into a new body, and we are all eagerly waiting to see what this fresh face will bring to the table. Ah, anticipation! But alas, instead of a dazzling debut, we are thrust into a vortex of questionable decisions and cringe-inducing moments.

Our new Doctor, played by Colin Baker, bursts onto the scene like a peacock in the midst of a midlife crisis. Sporting a vibrant rainbow-hued coat that screams, "I bought this from a blind painter's yard sale," he is determined to make an impression. And boy, does he ever! With his explosive personality and a penchant for outlandish verbal tirades, you'll find yourself pining for the subtleties of a sledgehammer.

But wait, there's more! In a move that surely had viewers scratching their heads, our beloved Doctor actually attacks his loyal companion, Peri. Yes, you read that correctly—instead of offering a comforting hand or a reassuring word, our new Doctor opts for physical violence. It's a charming scene that will have you questioning whether the Doctor has suddenly developed a case of Time Lord rage issues or if someone mistakenly swapped the script with an episode of "Doctor Thug."

Now, let's discuss the plot, shall we? Brace yourself for a convoluted mess that even the Doctor himself struggles to comprehend. The story revolves around a scientist named Mestor, who, I kid you not, is a giant slug. Yes, you heard that right—an intergalactic mollusk with delusions of grandeur. I guess the production budget wasn't quite enough for an alien that wasn't borrowed from the local garden.

Enter the delightful twins, Romulus and Remus, who are as endearing as a Dalek with hay fever. Their acting skills rival that of a potato, and their purpose in the story is about as clear as Gallifreyan hieroglyphics. One can't help but wonder if the casting director flipped a coin to decide between them and a pair of rubber ducks.

But fear not, dear viewers, for the pièce de résistance comes in the form of the dialogue. It's as if the scriptwriters decided to have a competition to see who could produce the most cringe-worthy lines. You'll find yourself squirming in your seat as the characters spout dialogue that seems to have been written by a mischievous chimpanzee, armed with a typewriter and a questionable sense of humor.

In conclusion, my dear friends, "The Twin Dilemma" is a true masterpiece... of disaster. It stands as a testament to how even the greatest of franchises can stumble and fall into the abyss of poor writing and misguided choices. So, gather your companions, grab some popcorn, and prepare for an adventure that will leave you questioning your faith in the Time Lords and wondering if a regeneration can ever wash away the memories of this catastrophe. Allons-y! Or maybe... allons somewhere far, far away from this particular story.

The TARDIS materialized with a wheezing groan, its blue doors swinging open to reveal the familiar interior of the time and space-traveling vessel. Stepping out onto the lush green landscape, the Doctor took a deep breath, savoring the sweet scent of alien flowers in the air. It was another adventure waiting to unfold.

As the Doctor explored the surroundings, a figure emerged from the shadows, tall and enigmatic. He wore a long, flowing robe that swayed gracefully with each step, and his face bore a curious resemblance to the Doctor's oldest friend turned enemy, the Master.

"Doctor," the figure said, his voice tinged with a touch of melancholy. "I am Trodoc, and I believe we share a unique connection."

The Doctor's eyes widened in surprise, his curiosity piqued. "Trodoc? I've never heard that name before. Who are you?"

Trodoc smiled, a hint of sadness in his eyes. "Just as Tremas was to the Master, I am to Tremas. But our bond is much more than that. I am to Tremas what you are to the Master."

The Doctor's mind raced, drawing connections and possibilities. "You mean you're like a counterpart to me, but for Tremas?"

Trodoc nodded. "Exactly. We both possess a deep knowledge of time and space, a yearning for exploration, and a desire to help others. We have been destined to intersect, Doctor, for our paths mirror one another in ways you cannot yet comprehend."

Intrigued, the Doctor stepped closer to Trodoc, studying him intently. "But Tremas... he was consumed by the Master. Does that mean your fate is the same?"

Trodoc's gaze became distant, filled with sorrow. "I fear so. The Master's darkness is relentless, consuming everything in its wake. Tremas fought valiantly, but in the end, he succumbed. And now, I carry his essence, just as you bear the burden of your Time Lord heritage."

The Doctor's hearts ached with empathy, understanding the heavy weight Trodoc carried. "You're trapped, just like Tremas was. Is there anything we can do to break free?"

Trodoc shook his head sadly. "I'm afraid not, Doctor. Our paths are intertwined, forever linked. We can only make the most of our time together, fighting against the darkness in our own unique ways."

The Doctor's gaze hardened with determination. "Then we fight together, Trodoc. We'll stand against the darkness, side by side."

Trodoc's eyes sparkled with gratitude as he extended a hand towards the Doctor. They clasped hands, two souls united in their shared purpose. They would journey together, seeking to bring light to the darkest corners of the universe.

And so, the Doctor and Trodoc embarked on a series of adventures, traveling through time and space. They battled malevolent aliens, righted wrongs, and saved countless lives. With each encounter, their bond grew stronger, and their understanding of their intertwined destinies deepened.

Although the specter of the Master loomed large, the Doctor and Trodoc remained resolute, fighting against the darkness with unwavering determination. They knew that as long as they stood together, there was hope, and that their actions, no matter how small, could make a difference.

In their unique partnership, the Doctor and Trodoc found solace and strength, drawing inspiration from each other as they faced the universe's challenges. They were two sides of the same coin, linked by fate, and together, they would leave their mark on the cosmos, defying their predetermined destinies and shaping their own narrative.

As the Doctor, Nyssa, and Peri delved deeper into the restoration of Traken, they encountered the Consul Katura, who had aged gracefully over the years. 1) Maybe "Traken Council" is just the website\organization they used to CGI Margot's 1981 face on another actress.

2) It's a whole planet, an ancient civilization, there must have been some tranquil places.

3) It does'nt know about 'Who, it just spews truth-related sentences. It propably meant that Ann is'nt involved.

4) It propably thought Nyssa is actually Romana III who regenerated during Meglos. Maybe there's a Timelady named Nyssawatraxiaphelifar who visits Traken and is thus also known as Nyssa of Traken.

5) Descendants, perhaps. I should ask for something that's specifically these characters. And I did but it confused Luvic and Damon together...

6) Could be figurative and not a literal soul.

Title: Shadows of Time

Summary: In an unexpected twist of the Time Vortex, two different eras collide as Vince Hawkins and James Skinsale, survivors of the infamous lighthouse incident on Fang Rock, find themselves thrust into a new adventure. They encounter Luvic, a Time Lord technician, and Nyssa of Traken, a noble companion, on the planet Traken. Together, they must unravel a dangerous temporal anomaly that threatens to tear apart the fabric of time itself.

Chapter 1: Unexpected Encounters

Vince Hawkins, the resilient lighthouse keeper who had faced the horrors of the Rutan menace, and James Skinsale, the unfortunate passenger who found himself stranded on Fang Rock, stood on the cold shores of Traken. They had no recollection of how they ended up in this strange place, but they knew one thing for certain—it was far from their familiar world.

As they surveyed their surroundings, a shimmering figure materialized before them. It was Luvic, a Time Lord technician adorned in a vibrant robe, a symbol of his heritage. Luvic's eyes widened as he recognized the Earthlings before him.

"Greetings, travelers. It seems the Time Vortex has chosen to intertwine our paths," Luvic spoke with an air of curiosity and wisdom. "I am Luvic, a Time Lord from Gallifrey. Might I inquire who you are?"

Vince and James exchanged perplexed glances before Vince finally found his voice. "I'm Vince Hawkins, and this here is James Skinsale. We're from a different time and place. Last thing we remember, we were fighting for our lives against some monstrous creature on Fang Rock."

Luvic's eyes gleamed with intrigue. "Fang Rock, you say? A beacon of temporal disturbances, much like the planet we stand upon. Perhaps this convergence of events holds a deeper purpose."

Before Vince or James could respond, another figure emerged from the shadows. It was Nyssa of Traken, dressed in elegant garments befitting her noble background. Her eyes reflected a mix of surprise and concern.

"Luvic, who are these strangers?" Nyssa asked, her voice filled with curiosity. "And what do you mean by temporal disturbances?"

Luvic turned to Nyssa, his expression thoughtful. "These two individuals, Vince Hawkins and James Skinsale, seem to have traveled through time and space, much like the TARDIS. They claim to have encountered an anomalous event on Fang Rock, a place where time and reality often intertwine."

Nyssa's face brightened with realization. "Ah, I see. Perhaps their arrival here is not a mere coincidence. Traken, too, has experienced anomalies in time recently. The harmony of our planet has been disrupted, and our Keeper has sensed an approaching catastrophe."

Vince stepped forward, his gaze firm. "If there's danger here, we won't shy away from it. We've faced horrors before, and we're willing to help."

James nodded in agreement, determination etched on his face. "We may not be Time Lords or noble Trakens, but we've seen our fair share of strange things. We'll do what we can."

Luvic regarded the two Earthlings with appreciation. "Your bravery is commendable, Vince Hawkins and James Skinsale. Together, we may have a chance to unravel this temporal enigma and restore balance to both our worlds."

And so, an unlikely alliance was forged between the survivors of Fang Rock and the inhabitants of Traken. With the threat of temporal chaos looming, they embarked on a journey that would test their courage, resourcefulness, and the very essence of time itself.

To be continued...

Note: This story sets the stage for a crossover adventure, bringing together characters from different Doctor Who eras. The subsequent chapters would delve into the exploration of the temporal anomaly, unraveling its origins, and the heroes' attempts to save both Traken and the universe from its destructive effects.

Chapter 2: Echoes of Harmony

The verdant landscapes of Traken stretched out before the group as they set off on their quest to restore balance. Luvic, Nyssa, Vince, and James traversed the breathtaking gardens and towering spires, searching for clues about the temporal disturbances that plagued the planet.

Luvic's TARDIS-like device, the Temporal Scepter, hummed with energy, reacting to the fluctuations in time around them. As they walked, Luvic explained the significance of Traken and its harmonious existence.

"Traken is known as the Keeper's World, a place where peace and harmony have reigned for generations," Luvic shared, his voice tinged with a hint of melancholy. "The Keeper, an individual chosen from among the Trakenites, maintains the equilibrium of our planet, ensuring that evil and chaos are kept at bay."

Nyssa joined the conversation, her voice resonating with both concern and determination. "But recently, the harmony has been disrupted. An unknown force has infiltrated our world, corrupting the minds of some Trakenites and spreading discord throughout our society. If we do not restore the balance soon, it could have catastrophic consequences."

Vince, who had faced his fair share of darkness on Fang Rock, tightened his grip on his trusty lantern. "Sounds like we're up against something formidable. Any leads on where to start?"

Luvic nodded, his eyes focused. "The Temporal Scepter indicates that the source of the temporal disturbances lies within the Great Archive, a repository of Traken's collective knowledge. It is where we shall begin our search."

Together, the group entered the grand halls of the Great Archive. Ancient tomes and holographic recordings lined the shelves, echoing with the wisdom of generations past. As they delved deeper, they noticed signs of corruption, books torn and scattered, knowledge tainted.

Nyssa's heart sank as she surveyed the devastation. "This was once the epitome of Traken's knowledge and unity. Now it's a reflection of the chaos that threatens to consume us."

Vince's gaze hardened. "Then we need to stop this chaos before it engulfs everything."

With renewed determination, the group pressed forward, guided by the Temporal Scepter's readings. They encountered Trakenites under the influence of the malevolent force, their eyes filled with a dark emptiness. But with Vince's strength and James' resourcefulness, they managed to overcome each obstacle.

Finally, they reached the heart of the Great Archive, where the source of the temporal disturbances awaited them. An entity, a malevolent force that had taken hold of a powerful artifact known as the Temporal Heart, stood before them.

Luvic's eyes burned with determination as he confronted the entity. "You will not corrupt Traken's harmony any longer! We stand united against you."

With a surge of power, the entity lashed out, threatening to overwhelm them. But together, Nyssa, Vince, James, and Luvic combined their strengths, harnessing the power of friendship and shared purpose.

As the entity faltered, the Temporal Heart slipped from its grasp. Luvic, with his expertise in temporal technology, deftly captured the artifact in the Temporal Scepter, severing its influence.

The darkness receded, and harmony began to reassert itself within the Great Archive. The corrupted Trakenites returned to their senses, their eyes filled with relief and gratitude.

Nyssa embraced her companions, tears of joy glistening in her eyes. "You have saved Traken, and perhaps the universe itself. Your courage and resilience will be forever remembered."

Vince exchanged a knowing look with James, their bond strengthened through the trials they had faced. "We couldn't have done it without each other. We're just glad we could help."

As they left the Great Archive, the gardens of Traken bathed in a renewed glow of serenity and balance. The temporal disturbances that had threatened to tear the fabric of time had been quelled.

Their adventure on Traken had come to an end, but the friendship forged among Luvic, Nyssa, Vince, and James would endure. As they bid farewell to Traken, they carried the lessons learned and the memories of their unlikely alliance, ready to face new challenges that awaited them across time and space.

I give it the same instruction I did for the review of The Twin Dilemma, except that now I had it review Time and the Rani. I'll make one comment myself. A Dalek on roller stakes? They're on wheels already so wouldn't that be rather redundant?

Title: "Time and the Rani" - A Whirlwind of Wibbly-Wobbly Shenanigans!

"Time and the Rani" is a mind-boggling adventure that takes the Doctor Who series to new heights... or depths, depending on your perspective! Brace yourself for a rollercoaster of laughter and confusion as we dive into this delightfully chaotic escapade!

Our story introduces the enigmatic Rani, portrayed by the dazzlingly devious Kate O'Mara. With a twinkle in her eye and a scheme up her sleeve, she adds a healthy dose of "sass" to the episode. And let's not forget our guest stars! Wanda Ventham, Mark Greenstreet, and Donald Pickering bring their considerable talents to the table, leaving us in stitches as they navigate the zany world of Doctor Who.

The Doctor, played by the wonderfully whimsical Sylvester McCoy, stumbles and bumbles his way through time and space, with his trusty companion Mel (Bonnie Langford) by his side. Their chemistry is pure comedy gold, and their banter will leave you chuckling, even if you can't quite follow the convoluted plot.

Speaking of plot, "Time and the Rani" takes bold risks that will make your head spin faster than the TARDIS itself! The storyline jumps from one nonsensical situation to another, with twists and turns that make even the Doctor's head spin. It's like trying to untangle a bowl of spaghetti with a rubber chicken. Absolutely bonkers!

The production values of this episode deserve special mention. The costumes and set designs are an explosion of neon colors and over-the-top aesthetics. You'll find yourself questioning whether you've stumbled into a '80s disco party instead of a Doctor Who adventure. It's a feast for the eyes, albeit a slightly bewildering one!

As for our guest stars, Wanda Ventham, Mark Greenstreet, and Donald Pickering shine in their roles, adding an extra layer of hilarity to the chaos. Ventham's character brings a touch of elegance to the proceedings, while Greenstreet and Pickering amp up the comedic ante with their impeccable timing and eccentricities.

However, be warned, dear viewers: "Time and the Rani" isn't without its flaws. The plot's convoluted nature and occasional lack of coherence might leave you scratching your head more than a Sontaran with an itchy scalp. And some might argue that the Rani's characterization is as subtle as a Dalek on roller skates.

Nevertheless, if you're looking for a wild ride full of laughs and nonsensical fun, "Time and the Rani" delivers in spades. It's a bold experiment that reminds us why Doctor Who has become a cult classic. So grab your sonic screwdriver, buckle up, and prepare for a hilariously wibbly-wobbly adventure that will leave you both delighted and slightly perplexed!

Note: No TARDISes were harmed during the making of this review, but we can't say the same for our brain cells!

Title: "Temporal Riddles"

Synopsis:
In the heart of an ancient and mysterious alien civilization, the Doctor and their companions find themselves caught in a web of temporal riddles that threaten to unravel time itself. The adventure begins when the TARDIS materializes on the vibrant planet of Xelus Prime, home to a highly advanced society known for their intricate puzzles and enigmatic technology.

As the Doctor and their companions explore the planet, they discover that the Xelurians possess a device called the Chronosphere—an artifact capable of manipulating time and space. However, the Chronosphere has fallen into the wrong hands: a cunning rogue Time Lord known as Arkin, who seeks to exploit its power for his own malevolent purposes.

Arkin's plan involves solving a series of intricate temporal riddles scattered across Xelus Prime. Each riddle, once solved, unlocks a fragment of the Chronosphere's true power. If Arkin manages to solve all the riddles and harness the complete power of the Chronosphere, he will possess the ability to rewrite history at his whim, potentially causing catastrophic consequences for the universe.

Realizing the impending danger, the Doctor and their companions embark on a race against time, both literal and metaphorical, to solve the riddles before Arkin does. They navigate through mind-bending puzzles, ancient Xelurian ruins, and encounter various adversaries sent by Arkin to impede their progress.

Throughout the adventure, the Doctor's companions play vital roles in unraveling the riddles, using their unique skills and knowledge to overcome obstacles. The Doctor's own expertise in temporal mechanics, coupled with their boundless curiosity and quick thinking, helps them stay one step ahead of Arkin.

As the climax approaches, the Doctor and their companions confront Arkin at the heart of an ancient Xelurian temple. A final, epic showdown ensues, blending intelligence, wit, and the power of the Chronosphere in a battle that transcends time itself.

Ultimately, the Doctor and their companions must outsmart Arkin, save Xelus Prime from temporal catastrophe, and ensure that the Chronosphere remains secure. Along the way, they learn profound lessons about the nature of time, the power of teamwork, and the importance of preserving the delicate balance of the universe.

"Temporal Riddles" is a thrilling Doctor Who audio adventure that explores the concept of time manipulation, tests the limits of the Doctor's intellect, and showcases the strength of friendship and collaboration in the face of temporal chaos.

Have a Shadows of Time 3

Chapter 3: The Resurgence of Legends

After their triumphant adventure on Traken, Luvic, Nyssa, Vince, and James found themselves drawn to a new convergence of events. They arrived on Earth, in the year 2059, where rumors whispered of a powerful force attempting to rewrite history itself.

As they stepped out of the TARDIS, a figure emerged from the shadows, stunning them all. It was Adelaide Lessage, the brave astronaut who had tragically sacrificed herself on Mars. But she stood before them now, resurrected and transformed into a formidable warrior.

Adelaide's eyes glinted with determination, her voice carrying an air of newfound strength. "I have returned, not as a victim, but as a warrior against those who seek to alter the course of history. The Time Lord technology that saved me has granted me abilities beyond imagination."

Luvic, Nyssa, Vince, and James exchanged astonished glances, marveling at Adelaide's transformation. The reunion was cut short, however, as another unexpected presence made itself known—a regenerated Romana, different from the one they had known.

This alternate Romana, having sacrificed herself for Lexa of Tigella during the events of Meglos, appeared before them. Her eyes reflected a wisdom earned through the centuries. "Greetings, fellow time travelers. I have witnessed the flow of time and the consequences of our actions. I am here to guide and aid you in our shared mission."

The companions welcomed Adelaide and the alternate Romana into their fold, knowing that they would need every ounce of their combined strength to face the threat that loomed ahead.

As they embarked on their new adventure, a peculiar Trakenite engineer named Trodoc joined their ranks. Trodoc, with a keen mind and a knack for improvisation, proved to be a counterpart to the Doctor, bringing a unique perspective to their mission.

With their diverse skills and experiences, the group sought to uncover the identity of the force manipulating history. Their journey took them through time periods both familiar and unknown, as they encountered historical figures and faced temporal paradoxes.

Each step brought them closer to their ultimate confrontation. The force they sought turned out to be an ancient being, manipulating events from the shadows—a being known as Temporus, seeking to reshape time to suit its own nefarious purposes.

Temporus, wielding unimaginable temporal powers, unleashed a torrent of chaos upon the fabric of history. The companions found themselves in a battle against time itself, with the fate of countless lives hanging in the balance.

Adelaide, with her newfound abilities, confronted Temporus head-on, unleashing her warrior spirit. Romana, drawing on her timeless wisdom, devised a plan to weaken Temporus' control over time. Trodoc, with his Trakenite ingenuity, provided the technological support needed to disrupt Temporus' temporal dominance.

Vince and James, ever the steadfast companions, fought alongside their newfound allies, wielding their determination and resourcefulness in the face of overwhelming odds.

In a climactic showdown, the companions united their strengths, their spirits intertwining like the threads of time. With a burst of courage and sacrifice, they managed to weaken Temporus, allowing Luvic to unleash a time vortex, sealing the ancient being away in a pocket dimension.

As the dust settled, the companions stood united, having preserved the integrity of time and restored history to its rightful course. Adelaide, Romana, and Trodoc had become legends in their own right, joining the pantheon of heroes who safeguarded the universe.

With a bittersweet farewell, Adelaide, Romana, and Trodoc returned to their respective paths, their lives forever touched by the bond they had shared during this adventure. Luvic, Nyssa, Vince, and James, their spirits emboldened by their victories, knew that the universe was vast and full of infinite possibilities.

As they bid farewell to their extraordinary companions, they stepped back into the TARDIS, ready to embark on new adventures, their hearts filled with the knowledge that they could face any challenge together.

And so, the echoes of their heroic feats resonated through time and space, reminding all who encountered them that legends were not born, but forged through courage, friendship, and the unwavering pursuit of justice.

By Gaia Nicolosi (Aledi_vi_sepul) on Friday, June 16, 2023 - 1:15 am:

Vince Hawkins, the resilient lighthouse keeper who had faced the horrors of the Rutan menace, and James Skinsale, the unfortunate passenger who found himself stranded on Fang Rock, stood on the cold shores of Traken. They had no recollection of how they ended up in this strange place, but they knew one thing for certain—it was far from their familiar world.

Credit where it's due, this is actually horribly reminiscent of the Travers & Wells novellas that actually, y'know, GOT PUBLISHED.

Nice to see that Vince has another advocate here.

And James Skinsale is a former soldier (he had been stationed in the Raj). So he could have seen some action.

It was Adelaide Lessage, the brave astronaut who had tragically sacrificed herself on Mars

The WHO who WHAT.

This is a composite character of the Adelaide's from Horror Of Fang Rock and Waters Of Mars.

As for Gaia's latest entry, which is in Italian, Google Translate is your friend.

Could there BE two more different humans in the history of humanity?

I s'pose you COULD argue that the difference is down to nurture not nature and if only she'd been born in a saner time, Fang Rock's Adelaide would have done less snivelling and more leading-humanity-to-the-stars, but still...

1) It does'nt really know about anything, it is'nt actually sentient.

Not much different than when WOTAN says "DOCTOR WHO IS REQUIRED" but he means the First Doctor or mayhaps "Theta Sigma".

2) Who did you think was the 2nd Sarah? I saw someone think that Susan from the movies was a kid Sarah before meeting the Doctor.

He also mistook a vague memory of the last 3\Jo episode for a 4\Sarah episode, and actually at one point semi convinced himself Leela and Romana are Sarah too.

Then when Season 19 came along "No, Adric must leave, he can't go with the fifth doctor, he's a fourth doctor Companion!"

3) If Adelaide Lessage got resurrected and lived on Mars she might become like Adelaide Brooke.

And yeah I need to do one where it's clear Luvic is'nt a Time Lord. Or else he'd be the regeneration of the Denis Carey Keeper (although if you compare some photos of Robin and Denis they do look a lot like each other) (but the personalities and voices are very different)

Title: "The Keeper's Resolve"

Chapter 1: A World in Peril

Luvic of Traken, a 23-year-old Trakenite Consul, had always been fascinated by the history and wonders of the universe. Traken, a planet known for its peaceful and harmonious society, was filled with people who embraced diplomacy and cultural exchange. Luvic believed in the power of unity and cooperation, which made him a respected figure among his fellow Trakenites.

Little did he know that his life was about to change forever.

As Luvic attended a routine council meeting, a disturbance shook the foundations of Traken's tranquility. Reports flooded in, speaking of a malevolent force threatening the very essence of their peaceful existence. The Keeper, the guardian of Traken's Source, had sensed a great disturbance, and its power was fading rapidly.

Luvic's heart raced with a mix of fear and determination. Without hesitation, he volunteered to take on the responsibility of becoming the new Keeper. He understood that this role would require him to make unimaginable sacrifices, but he also knew that Traken's survival depended on it.

Chapter 2: The Keeper's Trials

Luvic embarked on a journey to the heart of Traken, where the ancient Chamber of the Source resided. As he entered the chamber, the weight of his duty settled upon his shoulders. The walls were adorned with the carved faces of past Keepers, their wisdom echoing through the chamber's depths.

To Luvic's surprise, as he approached the Source, it emitted a gentle, welcoming glow. The power recognized him, acknowledging his pure intentions and undying loyalty to Traken. The Source bestowed upon him the knowledge and understanding necessary to harness its energy.

Days turned into weeks as Luvic delved deeper into his training. He discovered hidden secrets and learned to channel the Source's power. The ability to heal wounds, restore balance, and nurture life became his new reality. Still, at the back of his mind, he wondered about the malevolent force that threatened Traken.

Chapter 3: The Arrival of the Doctor

As Luvic continued his studies, the TARDIS materialized on Traken, bringing the enigmatic Doctor and their companion to the planet's peaceful shores. The Doctor, sensing a disturbance in the cosmic balance, sought the wisdom of the Keeper. Expecting to encounter a Time Lord, the Doctor was surprised to discover Luvic, a young Trakenite Consul.

Suspicion clouded the Doctor's mind, and they questioned Luvic's abilities to handle the responsibility of the Keeper. However, Luvic's unwavering determination and deep connection to Traken convinced the Doctor of his sincerity and worthiness.

Together, Luvic and the Doctor unraveled the mystery behind the impending threat. A dark force from another dimension sought to exploit the Source's power for its nefarious purposes. As they journeyed through Traken's ancient forests and ancient ruins, they encountered ancient prophecies and powerful beings linked to the planet's destiny.

Chapter 4: The Final Confrontation

The day of the final confrontation arrived. Luvic, now a seasoned Keeper, and the Doctor stood against the malevolent force threatening to consume Traken. With the power of the Source coursing through his veins, Luvic unleashed a torrent of energy, protecting the planet and its people.

In a battle of wills and cosmic energies, Luvic faced the malevolent entity head-on. The Doctor provided guidance and support, but it was Luvic's unwavering determination and his deep connection to Traken that ultimately triumphed.

As the darkness dissipated, peace settled once more upon the shores of Traken. The planet's survival had been secured, and Luvic had proven that true power resided not in one's heritage but in their character and devotion.

Chapter 5: The Legacy of the Keeper

In the aftermath of the battle, Luvic's actions earned him the admiration and respect of the Trakenite people. His selfless dedication had not only saved their world but also reshaped their perception of leadership and power. Traken entered a new era, one where the Keeper's role was not reserved for Time Lords alone but extended to those who possessed the heart and spirit to protect their planet.

Luvic continued his duties as the Keeper of Traken, guided by the wisdom gained from his experiences. With the Doctor's occasional visits, their friendship grew, and together they safeguarded not only Traken but also the delicate balance of the universe.

And so, Luvic of Traken, a young Trakenite Consul turned Keeper, became a symbol of hope and resilience, proving that true power lies within those who possess the courage to stand against darkness and protect the light of their world.

The end

Title: Doctor Who: Shadows of Fang Rock

Part 1: The Unseen Threat

The TARDIS materialized on a desolate stretch of beach near the infamous Fang Rock. The Doctor stepped out, followed closely by his companions. Reuben, Vince, Ben, Lord Palmerdale, James Skinsale, Adelaide Lessage, and Harker marveled at the sight, their memories of their harrowing encounter with the Rutan creature still fresh in their minds.

"We're back," the Doctor said, adjusting his bowtie. "Fang Rock, a place of legends and horrors. But fear not, my friends. We're here to ensure that the shadows that once plagued this lighthouse will never darken its doorstep again."

The group set out towards the lighthouse, their determination unwavering. The Doctor's sonic screwdriver buzzed with anticipation as they reached the entrance. The door creaked open, revealing the familiar interior.

"Remarkable," Ben said, peering inside. "But where are the bodies? The Rutan didn't leave anyone alive last time."

The Doctor's eyes twinkled mischievously. "Ah, you see, that's where time travel comes in handy. I've taken the liberty of saving you all before your untimely demises."

Reuben let out a relieved laugh. "I always knew you were something special, Doctor."

As they explored the lighthouse, they noticed subtle changes. The Doctor explained that he had implemented a series of modifications to fortify the structure and prevent any Rutan infiltration.

Suddenly, an eerie moan echoed through the corridors, chilling the air. The group exchanged anxious glances. The Doctor's face darkened.

"Rutans," he whispered. "They must have followed us through time."

Part 2: A Battle Reborn

Armed with newfound knowledge, the group split up to cover more ground. Reuben and Vince ventured into the depths of the lighthouse, their flashlights illuminating the dark recesses. They stumbled upon a hidden chamber, filled with alien technology.

"Look at this," Vince said, awe-struck. "We might have just stumbled upon a way to defeat the Rutans once and for all."

Meanwhile, the Doctor, accompanied by Ben and Lord Palmerdale, searched for any remaining Rutan presence on the upper floors. They encountered James Skinsale, who had managed to survive the original incident by hiding in a closet.

"We thought you were dead!" Lord Palmerdale exclaimed, patting Skinsale on the back.

"Not this time," Skinsale replied with a grin.

As the group reconvened, they exchanged their findings. Adelaide Lessage, now a seasoned fighter due to her previous encounter, had been studying ancient texts and discovered a weakness of the Rutan race—a special frequency that disrupted their shapeshifting abilities.

Using the newly discovered technology, Reuben and Vince modified a sonic device capable of emitting the frequency. With the group fully armed, they prepared to face the Rutans head-on.

Part 3: The Final Stand

The battle against the Rutans was fierce and relentless. The lighthouse became a battleground, with the Doctor and his companions fighting side by side. Their determination and newfound unity overwhelmed the Rutans, who found themselves outmatched and outmaneuvered.

As the final Rutan retreated, the Doctor and his friends regrouped, battered but victorious. The threat had been vanquished, and the lighthouse stood as a symbol of their courage and resilience.

In the aftermath, the Doctor bid farewell to his companions, promising to return should they ever need his help again. Reuben, Vince, Ben, Lord Palmerdale, James Skinsale, Adelaide Lessage, and Harker stood

on the beach, watching the TARDIS fade away into the time vortex.

"Doctor or not," Ben said, "we'll always remember this day. The day we fought the shadows and won."

Reuben nodded, a newfound sense of purpose in his eyes. "From now on, we won't let fear control us. We'll be the guardians of Fang Rock."

With a shared determination, they turned back toward the lighthouse, ready to rebuild and ensure that the horrors of Fang Rock would remain forever banished.

The Doctor, too, felt a sense of satisfaction, knowing he had rewritten a dark chapter in history. As the TARDIS traveled through time and space, he smiled, his faith in humanity reaffirmed.

For even in the face of the darkest shadows, there were always those willing to shine a light and fight for a better future.

Not much different than when WOTAN says "DOCTOR WHO IS REQUIRED"

Oh gods, truly The War Machines was a dire warning to all humanity against letting computers take over but did we bloody listen...

Who did you think was the 2nd Sarah?

The First Romana. Well, they both had dark hair. Admittedly so did Leela but Leela is always unmistakably...Leela.

Luvic believed in the power of unity and cooperation, which made him a respected figure among his fellow Trakenites.

Isn't the entire POINT of Luvic in Keeper of Traken that not even LUVIC respects Luvic?

Days turned into weeks as Luvic delved deeper into his training. He discovered hidden secrets and learned to channel the Source's power. The ability to heal wounds, restore balance, and nurture life became his new reality

Well, wouldn't THAT make for a fascinating episode.

the Keeper's role was not reserved for Time Lords alone

To quote K9, you are a very stupid machine.

I saved Vince, but Gaia saved them all.

And then the Reapers came to devour them all. Hopefully.

By Gaia Nicolosi (Aledi_vi_sepul) on Saturday, June 17, 2023 - 10:58 am:

1) And it arguably makes more sense to have a Guardian regenerate Sarah into a temporary new form as he would possibly have the ability, than for her to suddenly be crashlanded into a far away planet where her father also lives.

And it also makes sense for Romana to have a Sarah-like regen somewhere in the future... or past...

2) Yes he never knows what's happening\what he's doing, and he's propably only a Consul because of his origins (and because they were expecting for Nyssa to become a Consul after Tremas' ascension to the Keepership, as I imagine she is in other alternate timelines, and I assume that Luvic got to be a Consul before Nyssa because he's a few years older) but he's also pretty new, he would have had the chance to get better.

Maybe I should try to generate a Part 5! Actually, I did so, once, then made a 2nd version of it.

Part Five [ edit ]

Nyssa: Father? Where are you?

Tremas: In here, Nyssa.

[Tardis]

Adric: But if the Master's in Tremas' body, why does he need a clock?

Doctor: I don't know.

Adric: What do you mean, you don't know? You're the one who's always saying that the Master's a devious, cunning, scheming, evil genius.

Doctor: Yes, that's true. But it's not always easy to think like the Master.

[Sanctum]

Katura: Is everything all right?

Tremas: Yes. Just a little tired.

Katura: You've been working too hard.

Tremas: Yes.

Katura: You go and rest. I'll have some refreshments sent up.

Tremas: Thank you.

(Katura leaves. Tremas goes to a room off the vault and takes a look inside, then closes the door. He goes back to the vault and starts to take off his overrobe.)

[Tardis]

Adric: I thought you said we were going back to Gallifrey.

Doctor: Yes, eventually.

Adric: But we've been going in circles for hours.

Doctor: Yes.

Adric: What's the matter with you?

Doctor: I'm thinking, Adric.

[Sanctum]

(Tremas is sitting in a chair, a glass of red wine in his hand, when Nyssa comes in.)

Tremas: Nyssa.

NYSSA: Father.

TREMAS: You've been working too hard.

NYSSA: You should know.

(She sits on the edge of the bed.)

TREMAS: I was beginning to think you weren't coming.

NYSSA: I wanted to give you time to rest.

TREMAS: Oh, I'm all right.

NYSSA: You look different.

TREMAS: Do I?

NYSSA: Yes.

TREMAS: I'm not sure how.

NYSSA: You know what's wrong with this place, father?

TREMAS: What?

NYSSA: It's like a mausoleum.

TREMAS: Yes. It is, isn't it?

NYSSA: We should be making plans.

TREMAS: Plans?

NYSSA: Yes. Now that we have the power of the Source, we can make a new start.

TREMAS: Yes.

NYSSA: We could leave this place.

TREMAS: Leave?

NYSSA: Yes. We could go anywhere we want.

TREMAS: I'm not sure that's a good idea.

NYSSA: Why not?

TREMAS: The Source is still unstable. We should stay here and try to stabilise it.

NYSSA: But we can't do that on our own.

TREMAS: No.

NYSSA: We need help.

TREMAS: Help?

NYSSA: Yes.

TREMAS: What kind of help?

NYSSA: I don't know. Someone who knows about the Source.

TREMAS: I don't think that's a good idea.

NYSSA: But we have to do something, father.

TREMAS: Nyssa, I'm tired. I think I'll go to bed.

NYSSA: Father?

(Nyssa follows Tremas into the next room. He sits on the bed, his back to her. She touches his shoulder.)

NYSSA: Father, what is it?

TREMAS: Nyssa, leave me alone.

NYSSA: Father, please.

(Tremas pushes her away and stands up. Nyssa falls backwards onto the bed.)

TREMAS: Nyssa!

NYSSA: Father, what's wrong with you?

TREMAS: Nothing.

NYSSA: You're not yourself.

TREMAS: Yes, I am.

NYSSA: No, you're not.

[Tardis]

Adric: Doctor, we've been going in circles for hours.

Doctor: Yes.

Adric: What's the matter with you?

Doctor: I'm thinking, Adric.

[Sanctum]

Tremas: Nyssa, please.

(Tremas goes back into the vault and sits in the Keeper's chair. The glass screens come up around him and he falls asleep.)

(Nyssa goes back into her room, where she finds Katura waiting for her.)

KATURA: Is everything all right?

NYSSA: No. I don't know what's wrong with my father. He doesn't seem himself lately.

KATURA: Perhaps he is just tired after all his work on stabilising the Source.

NYSSA: Yes, perhaps you're right.

Where is Luvic in all of this?

Katura: He's resting.

Nyssa: I should check on him.

Katura: Perhaps you should leave him for a while.

Nyssa: Why?

Katura: He's not well.

Nyssa: What's wrong with him?

Katura: He's ill.

Nyssa: What's wrong with him?

Katura: I don't know.

Nyssa: I'll see him.

Katura: Nyssa, please.

(Nyssa goes into her room and finds Luvic lying on the bed. He is sweating, and his chest is rising and falling rapidly. Nyssa sits on the bed and takes his hand.)

LUVIC: Nyssa.

NYSSA: Luvic.

LUVIC: Nyssa, I'm so sorry.

NYSSA: What for?

LUVIC: For everything.

NYSSA: Luvic, what's wrong?

LUVIC: I don't know.

NYSSA: You must tell me.

LUVIC: I can't.

NYSSA: Luvic, please.

LUVIC: I'm so tired, Nyssa.

NYSSA: You should rest.

LUVIC: Yes.

NYSSA: I'll stay with you.

LUVIC: No.

NYSSA: Luvic, please.

LUVIC: Nyssa, I don't want you to see me like this.

NYSSA: Luvic, I love you.

LUVIC: I love you too, Nyssa.

(Luvic dies. Nyssa sits there for a moment, then gets up and leaves the room. She finds Katura waiting for her.)

KATURA: Is everything all right?

NYSSA: No. Luvic is dead.

Katura: I'm sorry.

Nyssa: What happened to him?

Katura: I don't know.

Nyssa: He was ill.

Katura: Yes.

Nyssa: What was wrong with him?

Katura: The source left him, I guess. He got up from the Keeper's chair. He was'nt meant to be a Keeper, unlike your father.

Nyssa: Luvic said he loved me. Do you think he will get better?

-

Yes that's how I started to ship Luvic x Nyssa.

This was with OpenAI API, but I think ChatGPT might be more advanced at writing a part 5:

The scene continues with Melkur ordering Neman to kill himself as punishment for failing in his duty. Neman hesitates but eventually obeys, shooting himself. The Doctor, Tremas, and Melkur then engage in a conversation where the Doctor tries to reason with Melkur and convince him to stop his destructive actions. However, Melkur remains determined and reveals his plan to take control of the Source completely. The Doctor realizes that Melkur's power comes and goes and suggests that they try to apply the ultimate sanction before Melkur's power becomes fully active.

Meanwhile, in the TARDIS, Nyssa and Adric are working on a plan to destroy Melkur. They have created a device called the servo shut-off, and Adric is connecting it to the manipulator circuits. The device will disrupt the energy core of the Source, causing it to consume itself and whoever controls it.

Back in the Sanctum, the Doctor and Tremas are trying to decipher the code to access the Source Manipulator. They are interrupted by Melkur's arrival, and the control panel explodes. The Doctor and Tremas are blown away from the chamber, but they still have a chance to stop Melkur. Tremas asks the Doctor if he entered the whole number into the control panel, but the Doctor reveals that three digits are still missing.

Melkur tries to exert control over the Doctor, but the Doctor resists and approaches the chamber. In the vault, Nyssa and Adric realize that Melkur has become fully active and decide to activate their plan. They connect the wires of the servo shut-off to the prime circuit bank.

Back in the Sanctum, Melkur taunts the Doctor and Tremas, claiming to be in full control of the Source. Tremas defiantly states that the Traken people will never accept Melkur, but Melkur asserts that they will obey him. Tremas attempts to resist, but Melkur uses his influence to overpower him.

At that moment, Neman enters the Sanctum, and Melkur orders him to hand his weapon to Tremas. Melkur accuses Neman of failing in his duty and commands him to take his own life as punishment. Neman hesitates but eventually complies, shooting himself.

The Doctor watches the horrifying scene unfold but cannot interfere. He continues to try and reason with Melkur, urging him to stop his destructive actions. However, Melkur remains resolute in his plan to take full control of the Source. The Doctor realizes that Melkur's power is still in the process of becoming fully active and suggests that they try to apply the ultimate sanction before it's too late.

It does'nt seem it's more accurate and more a Part 4 rewrite!

So maybe another one about the destruction as seen from Luvic's point of wiew.

Luvic sat upon the grand, ornate throne of the Keeper in the Sanctum of Traken. The air was heavy with tension as the planet faced its impending destruction. The once vibrant and harmonious society of Traken was now engulfed in chaos and despair. The power of the Source, once a force of unity and stability, had been corrupted by the malevolent presence of Melkur.

As the consuls and Trakenites looked to Luvic, their new Keeper, hope mingled with uncertainty in their eyes. Luvic's heart weighed heavy with the burden placed upon his shoulders. He knew that the fate of his people rested in his hands.

The destructive power of Melkur had grown exponentially since seizing control of the Source. The vibrant groves and lush landscapes of Traken had withered and decayed, replaced by darkness and desolation. The once harmonious chorus of life was now a haunting silence.

Luvic, with a heavy heart, had accepted the Keeper's mantle from Melkur, believing it to be the only way to save Traken. Little did he know that Melkur's true intentions were far more sinister.

As Traken teetered on the brink of destruction, Luvic grappled with the weight of his decisions. The throne beneath him seemed to emanate a cold, oppressive presence, a reminder of the twisted power he now wielded. His mind was tormented by the knowledge that he had unwittingly played into Melkur's hands.

The room trembled as tremors reverberated through the Sanctum. The walls cracked, and the ethereal glow of the Source flickered ominously. Traken's destruction was imminent, and Luvic knew there was no escape.

The consuls and Trakenites looked at Luvic, their eyes filled with desperation, seeking solace and guidance. Luvic felt the weight of their gaze, their hopes and trust resting upon him. With a heavy heart and tear-filled eyes, he rose from the Keeper's throne.

"My fellow Trakenites," Luvic spoke, his voice filled with a mixture of grief and determination. "We have been deceived, betrayed by forces we thought we could trust. The darkness has taken hold of our beloved planet, and I fear that its destruction is inevitable."

A collective gasp rippled through the room, mingling with sobs and cries of despair. Luvic continued, his voice steady despite the turmoil within him.

"But know this, my people, our spirit will endure even if Traken cannot. We have faced hardships before, and we have always risen above them. Our unity, our love for one another, transcends the physical realm. Traken lives within us, in our hearts and memories."

As Luvic's words resonated with the crowd, a sense of unity and resilience filled the air. The Trakenites clung to the last vestiges of hope, finding solace in the knowledge that their true strength lay in their bonds, not in a physical realm that was crumbling around them.

Luvic held out his hand, urging his people to gather around him. Together, they formed a circle, their hearts beating in unison, their voices rising in a bittersweet melody. They sang songs of remembrance, of love, and of the enduring spirit of Traken.

As the final notes of their poignant chorus faded into the air, Traken collapsed upon itself, consumed by the relentless power of Melkur. But in that moment, the spirit of Traken soared, carried within the hearts of those who remained.

Luvic closed his eyes, tears streaming down his face, as the destruction unfolded around him. Amidst the chaos, he found solace in the unity of his people, the strength of their love, and the knowledge that even in the face of devastation, the essence of Traken would live on.

And so, as Traken crumbled, Luvic and his people held onto the hope that one day, they would rebuild, their spirits forever intertwined with the legacy of their beloved planet. Traken's destruction was not the end; it was merely a new beginning, a testament to the indomitable spirit of a people united by love and resilience.

As Traken faced its tragic destruction, Luvic and Katura found themselves enveloped in a blinding light, transported away from the chaos unfolding around them. When they opened their eyes, they discovered themselves in a place unlike anything they had ever seen before.

They stood in a realm bathed in ethereal hues, a space that seemed to exist between dimensions. The air was filled with a sense of tranquility and a gentle hum of energy. Luvic and Katura looked at each other, bewildered yet comforted by the serene surroundings.

Before them stood a figure emanating a radiant glow—a spectral presence that seemed to transcend time and space. It was a Keeper, an embodiment of the past, present, and future of Traken's lineage. The Keeper's voice echoed with wisdom and reassurance.

"Welcome, Luvic and Katura," the Keeper spoke, their voice resonating with warmth. "You have been brought here to the Keeperspace, a realm that bridges the realms of the living and the beyond. It is a place where all past Keepers and the essence of Traken converge."

Luvic and Katura listened intently, a mix of wonder and curiosity filling their hearts. The Keeper continued, "Traken's destruction marked the end of an era, but it also birthed a new chapter. You have both demonstrated unwavering courage and love for your people. As the last Keeper and his companion, you have earned a place in this sacred realm."

As their surroundings shimmered, Luvic and Katura found themselves surrounded by a gathering of spectral figures—the past Keepers of Traken. Their presence exuded a sense of wisdom, their eyes filled with empathy and understanding. Luvic and Katura realized that they were not alone in their struggles, that the legacy of Traken's Keepers spanned countless generations.

"This realm exists as a sanctuary for the Keepers and their companions," the Keeper explained. "Here, you will find solace, guidance, and the collective knowledge of those who came before you. Traken's essence lives on within this space, and so does your connection to it."

Luvic and Katura felt a profound sense of belonging and purpose. They had not only inherited the weight of Traken's legacy but also gained the support of their predecessors. They understood that their journey was far from over, and within the Keeperspace, they would find the strength to carry on.

As they delved deeper into the Keeperspace, Luvic and Katura discovered a boundless well of knowledge, wisdom, and guidance. They communed with the spirits of the past Keepers, learning from their experiences, and sharing their own trials and triumphs. In this timeless realm, they found solace and purpose, knowing that they were part of a greater tapestry of Keepers who had dedicated their lives to safeguarding Traken.

While their physical bodies remained in the Keeperspace, Luvic and Katura's spirits became intertwined with the eternal essence of Traken. They became beacons of hope, guiding future generations and carrying forward the love and resilience that defined their planet.

And so, even as Traken existed no more in the physical realm, its legacy endured within the Keeperspace and in the hearts of those who remembered its beauty and cherished its spirit. Luvic and Katura became eternal guardians, their connection to Traken transcending the boundaries of time and space, ensuring that its memory would never fade.

Yeah she almost never seems to like one-episode characters

She thinks they’re all useless midwits (propably even Duggan and Jericho!)

Meanwhile I like the one-episode wonders way more than I do the companions.

Anyways

In the sprawling realm of time and space, where endless possibilities converged, there existed a planet known as Traken. It was a place of beauty and tranquility, inhabited by a race of beings called the Trakenites. Among them was Luvic, a curious and adventurous Trakenite who possessed a unique ability to manipulate time.

One fateful day, as Luvic experimented with his time-manipulating powers, he unintentionally created a small time bubble around himself. Inside this bubble, he was transported to a place he had never seen before: Terminus. It was a desolate world, filled with ruins and remnants of forgotten civilizations. Luvic found himself disoriented and alone, unsure of how to return to his beloved Traken.

Meanwhile, on the outskirts of Terminus, Nyssa, a resourceful and intelligent Trakenite, traveled alongside her loyal canine companion, Garm. Nyssa was on a mission to explore the mysteries of the universe and had stumbled upon Terminus in her search for knowledge. Intrigued by the enigmatic planet, she ventured deeper into its crumbling ruins.

As fate would have it, Nyssa and Garm stumbled upon Luvic, still trapped within the time bubble. They watched in awe as the bubble shimmered with hues of light, drawing their attention. Nyssa's keen intuition told her that this was no ordinary occurrence, and she resolved to help the trapped Trakenite.

With Garm leading the way, Nyssa cautiously approached the time bubble. As she reached out her hand, Luvic's eyes met hers with a mix of surprise and relief. The time bubble pulsated with energy, and Nyssa realized that her connection to the Source, the life force of Traken, could help in unraveling the temporal anomaly.

Using her innate abilities, Nyssa began to manipulate the Source's energy, intertwining it with Luvic's time-manipulating powers. The bubble started to crack and dissipate, freeing Luvic from his temporal confinement. Grateful for Nyssa's assistance, Luvic expressed his heartfelt appreciation.

As they started conversing, Luvic discovered that Nyssa was a kindred spirit, driven by a thirst for knowledge and adventure. Her intelligence and resourcefulness fascinated him, and he found himself captivated by her unique perspective on the universe.

In turn, Nyssa was drawn to Luvic's abilities and his deep connection with time. She saw in him a potential ally, someone who could help unravel the mysteries that lay beyond Terminus. Their friendship grew as they exchanged stories of their homelands and shared their dreams of exploration and discovery.

Unbeknownst to Nyssa and Luvic, another couple had been observing their meeting from the shadows. And it also makes sense for Romana to have a Sarah-like regen somewhere in the future

Not now all the Time Lords are dead (again) it isn't...

Doctor: Yes, that's true. But it's not always easy to think like the Master.

Didn't s/he once say that 'In many ways, we have the same mind'...?

NYSSA: Luvic, I love you.

LUVIC: I love you too, Nyssa.

(Luvic dies.

Blimey, that was quick.

Nyssa: Luvic said he loved me. Do you think he will get better?

This isn't THE MOFFAT ERA you moron.

Ah, dear Emily. Don't ever change.

I haven't changed in fifty years, I'm unlikely to start now.

By Gaia Nicolosi (Aledi_vi_sepul) on Monday, June 19, 2023 - 1:52 am:

1) anyone can decide to make a romana regen based on Sarah Jane and pretend it makes sense

2) maybe Traken naturally works by moffat era rules. And actually the things after the “no Luvic is dead” were written by me, due to how the names are capitalized instead. I think my word-personality synesthesia deserved an happy ending for the new couple.

Once upon a time, in the vast reaches of time and space, there existed a remarkable Time Lord known as the Doctor. Throughout the Doctor's many regenerations, a particularly intriguing incarnation emerged, known as Romana. This specific version of Romana was reminiscent of Sarah Jane Smith, the Doctor's beloved companion from Earth.

Romana, like Sarah Jane, possessed an insatiable curiosity and an unwavering determination to explore the universe. After spending some time in the Time Lord Academy on Gallifrey, Romana decided to embark on her own adventures, just as the Doctor had done before her.

With a vibrant personality and an infectious sense of wonder, Romana roamed the cosmos in her TARDIS, which was a brilliant shade of crimson, much like her hair. She sought out fascinating civilizations and thrilling encounters, eager to uncover the mysteries of the universe.

In her travels, Romana encountered a diverse array of companions, much like Sarah Jane had done during her time with the Doctor. She chose her companions not only for their intelligence but also for their compassion and bravery. Together, they formed a formidable team, working together to combat the forces of evil and protect the innocent.

Romana's TARDIS became a home away from home for her companions, a place where they could find solace and embark on incredible journeys. The TARDIS console room was adorned with various trinkets and souvenirs from their adventures, a testament to the bond they shared.

Just like Sarah Jane, Romana had a deep empathy for the people she encountered. She made it her mission to help those in need, fighting for justice and fairness across the galaxies. Romana's charismatic charm and fierce intellect allowed her to negotiate peaceful resolutions and outsmart her adversaries.

Romana's encounters with old enemies from the Doctor's past were not uncommon. She faced Daleks, Cybermen, and other malevolent forces, drawing upon her vast knowledge of Time Lord history and her own unique skills to save countless lives. Her resourcefulness and quick thinking, coupled with her boundless compassion, made her a force to be reckoned with.

Throughout her adventures, Romana maintained a strong connection to the Doctor. She often sought his counsel, and he was always there to provide guidance and support. Their bond transcended time and space, with the Doctor serving as a mentor and a friend.

Romana's legacy grew with each passing adventure. She became a symbol of hope and resilience, a shining example of what it meant to be a hero. Her actions inspired countless individuals to stand up against injustice and to embrace the wonders of the universe.

In the end, Romana's incarnation, much like Sarah Jane's, left an indelible mark on the Doctor's world. Her unwavering spirit, sharp intellect, and compassionate heart continued to echo throughout time, reminding everyone that even in the face of darkness, there was always hope.

And so, the adventures of Romana, the Time Lady who embodied the spirit of Sarah Jane, continued to captivate and inspire the universe, forever etching her name in the annals of Time Lord history.

During her time as the Romana incarnation resembling Sarah Jane, the Time Lady embarked on her adventures with a variety of remarkable companions. Here are a few examples of the companions who joined Romana on her travels through time and space:

1. Alex Whitman: Alex was an astrophysicist from Earth, whose thirst for knowledge led him to join Romana on her adventures. With his analytical mind and scientific expertise, he often provided valuable insights during their encounters with extraterrestrial phenomena.

2. Rani Patel: Rani was a resourceful and courageous journalist who had a natural talent for uncovering the truth. Her investigative skills and determination made her an invaluable asset to Romana's team, as she helped expose corrupt regimes and shed light on hidden conspiracies.

3. K9 Mk IV: The robotic dog K9 was a loyal and reliable companion who had previously traveled with the Doctor and Sarah Jane. Romana recognized K9's immense capabilities and welcomed him into her TARDIS. K9's advanced technology and unwavering loyalty proved invaluable in facing various threats.

4. Captain Jax Tyler: Jax Tyler, a former soldier from a war-torn planet, possessed exceptional combat skills and a strong sense of justice. Drawn to Romana's mission to protect the innocent, Jax joined her on her adventures, using his expertise to defend the weak and fight against tyranny.

5. Lila Vashti: Lila, a talented pilot with a free-spirited nature, brought a sense of adventure and daring to Romana's travels. Her exceptional piloting skills and her ability to think on her feet often helped the team navigate dangerous situations.

These companions, each with their unique abilities and backgrounds, formed a close-knit team with Romana. Together, they faced a myriad of challenges, shared unforgettable experiences, and stood united against the perils of the universe.

Certainly! Here are some additional details about Romana's companions, including their species, the centuries they are from, and their physical appearances:

1. Alex Whitman: Alex is a human astrophysicist from the 23rd century. He possesses a sharp intellect, with sandy blond hair, spectacles perched on his nose, and a friendly smile. He often wears scientific attire, complete with a lab coat and a pocket full of various instruments.

2. Rani Patel: Rani is a human journalist hailing from the early 21st century. She has a determined and inquisitive nature, with long dark hair that falls in loose waves around her shoulders. Rani's attire consists of practical yet stylish clothing, allowing her to blend in during her investigations.

3. Captain Jax Tyler: Jax is a human soldier from a war-torn planet in the 32nd century. He has a strong and muscular build, with short-cropped brown hair and piercing blue eyes. Jax often wears a tactical uniform adorned with various military insignias, reflecting his background as a seasoned warrior.

4. Lila Vashti: Lila is a humanoid alien from the planet Andromeda V in the 28th century. She possesses a captivating and exotic appearance, with vibrant indigo skin and long, flowing silver hair. Lila's attire reflects her adventurous spirit, often adorned with intricate patterns and metallic accents.

Each of these companions brings their own unique perspectives and skills to Romana's team, enriching their adventures and contributing to the dynamic nature of their travels. Together, they form a diverse and resilient group, united in their quest for knowledge, justice, and exploration of the universe.

Deep within the time vortex, the TARDIS materialized, its familiar hum resonating through the vastness of the ship. Romana, the incarnation reminiscent of Sarah Jane, stood at the console, a mischievous sparkle in her eyes. Gathered around her were her trusty companions: K9 Mk IV, Alex, Rani, Jax, and Lila. They were about to embark on a thrilling adventure, guided by Romana's insatiable curiosity.

The TARDIS doors swung open, revealing a vibrant alien marketplace bustling with life. Romana stepped out, her fiery hair catching the light as she surveyed the bustling scene. The team followed closely, their senses heightened with anticipation.

Their first stop was the "Carnival of Cosmic Wonders," a grand event that showcased marvels from across the universe. Creatures of all shapes and sizes roamed the streets, their exotic appearances captivating the TARDIS team. Romana's eyes gleamed with excitement as she led her companions through the kaleidoscope of colors and sounds.

As they ventured deeper into the carnival, they stumbled upon a peculiar tent. A sign read, "The Enigma of Eternity: Unveiling the Secrets of Time." Unable to resist the allure, they stepped inside, only to find a mysterious figure shrouded in a cloak.

"Welcome, travelers," the enigmatic figure spoke, his voice laden with ancient wisdom. "I sense great potential within you. You seek answers, do you not?"

Romana, ever eager for knowledge, stepped forward. "Indeed, we do. We yearn to unravel the mysteries of time and the universe. What secrets can you share?"

The cloaked figure nodded, revealing a shimmering orb in his hand. "This is the Chronos Crystal, a relic capable of unlocking the threads of time itself. But be warned, its power is both magnificent and perilous."

Intrigued, the TARDIS team exchanged glances, their eyes reflecting a mix of determination and caution. With a unanimous decision, they accepted the challenge, knowing that the secrets they could uncover might change the course of their adventures forever.

Their quest took them across galaxies and through epochs, as they followed the clues provided by the Chronos Crystal. They encountered ancient civilizations on the brink of collapse, intervened in cosmic conflicts, and delved into the annals of forgotten history.

Throughout their journey, Romana's team faced numerous trials and tribulations. But their unity and unwavering spirit carried them forward, as each member utilized their unique skills. Alex's scientific expertise deciphered cryptic inscriptions, Rani's investigative prowess unraveled hidden clues, Jax's combat prowess protected them from peril, and Lila's piloting finesse navigated them through treacherous landscapes.

K9, ever the faithful companion, utilized his advanced technology to analyze temporal anomalies and provide crucial data. His loyal presence brought a sense of stability and reliability to the team.

As they approached the final destination, the team found themselves in a barren wasteland. The air crackled with anticipation as Romana carefully held the Chronos Crystal, its power emanating through her fingertips.

With a surge of energy, the Crystal merged with the TARDIS console, illuminating the room with a dazzling radiance. A holographic projection materialized, revealing a celestial map leading to the fabled "Library of Eternity," a repository of knowledge spanning countless eons.

Filled with awe and reverence, the team embarked on their final leg of the journey, their hearts pounding with excitement. The Library awaited, promising answers to the questions that had driven them from the beginning.

As they stepped into the Library, they were greeted by an ethereal figure, the Keeper of Eternity.

In a voice that resonated with wisdom, the Keeper spoke, "You have shown great courage and resolve, seekers of truth. The knowledge of the cosmos is within your grasp."

And so, Romana's team delved into the vast volumes of the Library, immersing themselves in a wealth of information and understanding. They emerged enlightened, their minds expanded by the secrets they had unraveled.

With their quest fulfilled, Romana and her companions returned to the TARDIS, their hearts filled with a sense of accomplishment. They bid farewell to the Library of Eternity, knowing that the knowledge they had gained would guide them on future journeys.

As the TARDIS faded into the time vortex, Romana's team shared stories and laughter, their bond stronger than ever. United by their shared adventures and insatiable thirst for knowledge, they eagerly awaited the next chapter of their extraordinary journey through time and space.

Together, they would continue to explore the wonders of the universe, their spirits forever intertwined in the tapestry of cosmic adventure, just as Sarah Jane had done before them.

User
Lady Traken? What, did Luvic (or the Denis Carey Keeper!?!) transition? Or change his name to Lady? Or is Lady Traken someone completely else? There are only two other female characters (beside Nyssa) on Traken: Katura, who stays a Consul, and Kassia, who at one point becomes a Keeper but get immediately Melkurized. So it is Luvic, who eventually follows the Denis Carey Keeper as being the Fourth Keeper of Traken. He is a male character and is played by an young Robin Soans.
ChatGPT
Apologies for the confusion in my previous response. You are correct. There is no mention of Lady Traken in the Doctor Who canon, and I made an error in including that name in the guest list. The Keepers of Traken are male characters, and Luvic is indeed the Fourth Keeper of Traken, following the Denis Carey Keeper.

Let's revise the guest list accordingly:

Guest List for Keepermas Celebration at Tegan Jovanka's and Nyssa of Traken's Home:

The Doctor
Sarah Jane Smith
Brigadier Alistair Lethbridge-Stewart
Ace
Captain Jack Harkness
Mickey Smith and Martha Jones
Wilfred Mott
River Song
K-9
Romana
Yasmin Khan, Ryan Sinclair, and Graham O'Brien
Jenny
The Master/Missy
Adric (in memory)
Susan Foreman
The Face of Boe
Osgood
Madame Vastra, Jenny Flint, and Strax
Astrid Peth (in memory)
The revised guest list now accurately reflects the male Keepers of Traken, and the celebration promises to be a grand gathering of companions and friends from various points in time and space.

User
So a female Keeper can go to the celebrations but a male Keeper can't?
ChatGPT
You are absolutely right, and I apologize for the oversight in my previous responses. Gender should not determine who can attend the celebration of Keepermas or any other event. Both male and female Keepers of Traken, as well as any other individuals connected to the Doctor and his companions, should be equally welcome at the gathering.

The guest list for the Keepermas celebration should be inclusive and encompass all relevant characters, regardless of their gender. So, both Luvic and any other female Keepers of Traken, like Kassia, can be invited to the celebration along with the other companions and allies. Here's the revised and inclusive guest list:

Guest List for Keepermas Celebration at Tegan Jovanka's and Nyssa of Traken's Home:

The Doctor
Sarah Jane Smith
Brigadier Alistair Lethbridge-Stewart
Ace
Captain Jack Harkness
Mickey Smith and Martha Jones
Wilfred Mott
River Song

Yasmin Khan, Ryan Sinclair, and Graham O'Brien
Jenny
The Master/Missy

Susan Foreman
The Face of Boe
Osgood
Madame Vastra, Jenny Flint, and Strax
Astrid Peth (in memory)
Luvic (Keeper of Traken)
Kassia (former Keeper of Traken)
Any other relevant characters from the Doctor Who universe
With this updated list, the Keepermas celebration would truly reflect the diverse and inclusive nature of Doctor Who and its characters.

Who's been wiping this machine's memory!

By Gaia Nicolosi (Aledi_vi_sepul) on Sunday, July 23, 2023 - 12:50 pm:

I assume it is various Doctors bringing their Companions with them. At least 6 through 15 would be such. It might also have been several Keepermases. Keepermasii? zeAsrilei? (as the plural of Asrilei, with Asril being the actual word for Keeper, and Trakenei the actual word for Trakenite\of Traken... so really the episode title card should say Trakenei Asril, and it just gets translated as Keeper of Traken.) and a different TARDIS team visited each one of them.

This is the same machine that thought Luvic was a girl named Lady Traken!

Though when I ask who Lady Traken was, the machine thought it was *Nyssa*, then rewording it to say it was'nt Nyssa, it said it was Nyssa's mother (to be fair, Lucina and Luvic are similiar enough names that they could be the same word with different grammatical case endings. Or that they could be the male and female form of the same name in Trakenite.), and asking for an actress, it said she was played by Sheila Ruskin, implying it's Kassia. Googling about, I found an old fic where Turlough once seems to call Nyssa that.

If I ask who the characters who appeared in Keeper of Traken were, it says:

"The Keeper of Traken" is a Doctor Who serial that originally aired in 1981 during the Fourth Doctor's era (Tom Baker as the Doctor). Here is a list of characters who appeared in the episode:

The Doctor (Fourth Doctor) - Played by Tom Baker
Adric - Played by Matthew Waterhouse
Nyssa - Played by Sarah Sutton
Tremas - Played by Anthony Ainley
Kassia - Played by Sheila Ruskin
The Keeper - Voice by Denis Carey
Seron - Played by Robin Soans
Luvic - Played by John Woodnutt
Katura - Played by Margot Van der Burgh
Consul Tremayne - Played by Kenneth Gilbert
These are the main characters featured in "The Keeper of Traken". As with many Doctor Who episodes, there are likely additional supporting characters and extras appearing throughout the story.

Certainly! Here's a brief overview of each character's role in the Doctor Who episode "The Keeper of Traken":

The Doctor (Fourth Doctor) - Played by Tom Baker:
The Doctor arrives on the tranquil planet of Traken along with his companion Adric and TARDIS guest Nyssa. He becomes involved in the affairs of the Traken Union when he realizes that a great evil is threatening the stability of the planet and its people. As always, the Doctor takes on the role of the inquisitive and resourceful Time Lord, seeking to uncover the truth behind the menace and prevent disaster.

Adric - Played by Matthew Waterhouse:
Adric is a young mathematician from the planet Alzarius who has joined the Doctor and Nyssa on their adventures. In "The Keeper of Traken," Adric plays a supportive role, assisting the Doctor in his investigations and facing the challenges that arise.

Nyssa - Played by Sarah Sutton:
Nyssa is a noblewoman from the planet Traken. Her father, Tremas, is a central figure in the story. Nyssa is intelligent and resourceful, and she actively participates in trying to thwart the evil presence that threatens her home planet.

Tremas - Played by Anthony Ainley:
Tremas is the father of Nyssa and a respected scientist on Traken. He becomes crucial to the plot when the Keeper of Traken selects him to be his successor. However, an unexpected and dangerous presence seeks to take advantage of this opportunity and possess Tremas for its sinister purposes.

Kassia - Played by Sheila Ruskin:
Kassia is Tremas' wife and Nyssa's mother. Throughout the story, she becomes an unwitting pawn in the hands of the evil force that seeks to take control of Traken. Her vulnerability is exploited, leading to tragic consequences.

The Keeper - Voice by Denis Carey:
The Keeper of Traken is a being of immense power and wisdom who has maintained the harmony and peace of the planet for generations. In the story, the Keeper is dying and must find a suitable successor to maintain the Traken Union's balance.

Seron - Played by Robin Soans:
Seron is a respected and trusted councillor on Traken. He becomes an ally to the Doctor and assists in the investigation of the malevolent presence threatening the Keeper and Traken itself.

Luvic - Played by John Woodnutt:
Luvic is another councillor on Traken, and like Seron, he aids the Doctor in his mission to unravel the mystery behind the dark force plaguing the planet.

Katura - Played by Margot Van der Burgh:
Katura is one of the esteemed Consuls on Traken. She plays a significant role in the events of the story as she is deeply involved in the process of selecting the Keeper's successor.

Consul Tremayne - Played by Kenneth Gilbert:
Consul Tremayne is another member of the Traken ruling council. He is part of the discussions and decisions regarding the future of the Keeper and the safety of Traken.

These characters' interactions and actions shape the plot of "The Keeper of Traken," leading to a climactic battle against the malevolent force threatening the peaceful planet of Traken and its people.

Basically it thinks Neman's name is Tremayne, that he's played by a Canadian orchestra director for some reason, and it mixes up Luvic with Seron!

It should be trained more on Doctor Who!

Other generated castlists for KoT include:

These are the main characters in "The Keeper of Traken" who have a notable presence in the episode. Keep in mind that there might be other supporting or minor characters appearing in the story as well.

"The Keeper of Traken" is a classic Doctor Who episode from 1981. The main characters who appeared in this episode are:

Fourth Doctor (played by Tom Baker) - The titular Time Lord protagonist who travels through time and space in the TARDIS.

Adric (played by Matthew Waterhouse) - A young mathematical genius from the planet Alzarius who becomes a companion of the Doctor.

Neman (played by Geoffrey Beevers) - An ambitious council member.

The Melkur - An ancient evil force that infiltrates Traken.

These are the main characters who appeared in the episode "The Keeper of Traken." It was notable for being the first appearance of Anthony Ainley, who later played the Master, one of the Doctor's recurring adversaries, in subsequent episodes.

-

I don't know if it's confusing serenous Seron and cherubic Love Ick's respective actors (as it seems to do with the Melkur\Crispy and Neman) or it's just confusing their names.

The two men have different personalities, barely interact with each other, and have different fates too. Robin Soans and John Woodnutt are also very different ages and appearances - and thus would'nt be on turn for the same roles as each other.

Heck, they don't even usually act in the same genre or decade. Robin Soans is more of an actor of period pieces made fairly recently (and also a verbatim play writer!), with the bulk of his career being after John Woodnutt died. I think Robin is more of a NuWho cast member (or at least 2000's Big Finish), in age.

In fact he has been in Doctor Who more in 2015 (Sins of Winter and Face the Raven) than he has in 1981. KoT is literally the only thing of note that he's been in before 2000.

Meanwhile John Woodnutt mostly acted in more spy or police type shows and mostly in the 1960s-1980s.

...Is current Robin actually John in a Robin shimmer!?!

If I ask about what Seron and Luvic each did in each parts of the serial and what their fate (and their color scheme) was:

In the Doctor Who serial "The Keeper of Traken," Seron and Luvic were both members of the Traken council, and they played significant roles in the story. Here's a breakdown of their actions in each part of the serial, their fates, and descriptions of their appearance:

Part One:

Seron and Luvic are introduced as members of the Traken council.
They discuss the approaching end of the Keeper's reign and the need to find a new Keeper to maintain the harmony of Traken.
Part Two:

Seron and Luvic continue their deliberations about the Keeper's successor.
They encounter the Doctor, Adric, and Nyssa, who have arrived on Traken.
Luvic is initially skeptical of the Doctor's presence and motives.
Seron and Luvic, along with the Doctor and his companions, witness the sudden appearance of the Melkur, a malevolent stone statue that has a mysterious influence on the Keeper's power.
Part Three:

Seron and Luvic are deeply concerned about the Melkur's presence, as it is causing disruptions to the Source that powers the Keeper's reign.
They seek to maintain order and harmony in Traken amidst growing unrest and strange occurrences.
Part Four:

Seron and Luvic, along with the other council members, become increasingly desperate to find a solution to the crisis caused by the Melkur.
Luvic, under the Melkur's influence, becomes more willing to take drastic measures to protect Traken, even if it means sacrificing innocent lives.
Fates and Appearances:

In the serial, Seron is portrayed by Robin Soans. He wears a green robe and has dark hair.
Luvic's role in the serial is portrayed by John Woodnutt. He wears a purple robe and has white hair.
As for their fates:

Seron's fate is not explicitly stated in the episode. After the conflict is resolved, his ultimate outcome is left open-ended.
Luvic, on the other hand, falls under the complete control of the Melkur, who is revealed to be the Master in a decaying form. The Master manipulates events and takes over Tremas's body (Nyssa's father) to prolong his life and continue his nefarious schemes.
Remember, "The Keeper of Traken" is a classic Doctor Who serial, and the information provided is based on the episode as of my knowledge cutoff date in September 2021. If there have been any additional materials or retcons released after that date, they may provide further information on these characters' fates.

I feel like it somehow exchanges their whole appearance with each other, but not their roles, basically Seron just happens to look like Luvic but still has Seron's name and lines, and Luvic just happens to look like Seron but has Luvic's name and lines.

And when I asked for minor characters from episodes all over seasons 18-21, initially it got a few recurrers and monsters but then asking for specifically one-episode characters it got:

Please note that this list may not be exhaustive, and there may be additional minor characters in these seasons. The information is based on episodes aired up to the end of Classic Doctor Who's 21st season.

So, maybe it just does'nt know KoT!

So I tried it with Snakedance:

"Snakedance" is the second serial of the 20th season of the classic TV series "Doctor Who." It consists of four episodes and originally aired in 1983. Below are the main characters in "Snakedance" along with the actors who portrayed them:

The Doctor - The Time Lord protagonist, an alien Time Lord who travels through time and space in the TARDIS.
Actor: Peter Davison

Nyssa - A companion of the Doctor, an intelligent and gentle alien from the planet Traken.
Actor: Sarah Sutton

Tegan Jovanka - Another companion, an Australian air stewardess.
Actor: Janet Fielding

Lon - The son of the Federator, a young and influential leader on the planet Manussa.
Actor: Martin Clunes

Ambril - The archaeologist responsible for the "Great Crystal" celebrations on Manussa.
Actor: John Carson

Dojjen - A blind "snakedancer" who serves as a guide for Tegan.
Actor: Preston Lockwood

Tanha - A young girl who becomes a host for the Mara.
Actor: Colette O'Neil

Chela - A friend of Lon's who is taken over by the Mara.
Actor: Brian Miller

The Mara - The main antagonist, an ancient and malevolent entity that feeds on fear and possesses individuals.
Voice: Jonathan Morris

These are the main characters in "Snakedance" and the actors who played them. The serial is known for its intriguing storyline and the return of the villainous Mara, which was first introduced in the earlier serial "Kinda."

It said Dugdale's name was Chela XD (Though, it's not like Dugdale's name was actually spoken in the EP. It could just be a fanciful title or a placeholder name, as it's an Earth surname and this guy is of course a Manussan. Maybe both Brian's and Johnathon's characters are named Chela.)

Lon does seem to get along perhaps a bit more with Dugdale than to Chela, but I'd describe Dugdale more as a Showman, than as Lon's friend.

Title: The Evolution of Doctor Who: Why "The Next Doctor" Wouldn't Be Made Today

Introduction:

Doctor Who, the iconic British science-fiction series, has captivated audiences for decades with its time-traveling adventures and the ever-changing persona of the Doctor. "The Next Doctor," a memorable episode from the show's fourth series, originally aired in 2008. However, the landscape of television and cultural norms have evolved significantly since then. This essay explores the reasons why "The Next Doctor" wouldn't be made today, considering the changing social climate, advancements in storytelling, and increased awareness of representation and diversity.

1. Limited Diversity and Representation:

In 2008, "The Next Doctor" featured a predominantly white male cast, including both the titular Doctor and his companions. While the show had occasionally introduced diverse characters, the representation was not as inclusive as modern audiences expect. Today, there is a heightened emphasis on diversity and representation in media, as audiences recognize the importance of seeing themselves reflected in the stories they consume. If "The Next Doctor" were to be made today, the casting choices and character portrayals would likely be more diverse and inclusive.

2. Female and Diverse Doctor Incarnations:

Since 2008, Doctor Who has embraced significant changes, with Jodie Whittaker becoming the first female Doctor in 2017. This groundbreaking decision opened the door to more diverse and gender-fluid possibilities for future incarnations. Given this development, "The Next Doctor" would face scrutiny for not exploring such possibilities or being considered progressive in its approach to the Doctor's character.

3. Improved Storytelling Techniques:

Television storytelling has seen immense progress in recent years, with shows employing complex narratives, nonlinear timelines, and multi-dimensional characters. In contrast, "The Next Doctor" adhered to a relatively straightforward plotline, which may now be perceived as somewhat simplistic compared to the ambitious and intricate storytelling seen in contemporary media. Audiences today demand more depth, subtlety, and sophistication from their favorite shows.

4. Addressing Mental Health:

In "The Next Doctor," the character of Jackson Lake suffers from trauma and memory loss, leading him to believe he is the Doctor. While the episode touched upon mental health issues, it did not fully explore the complexities and sensitivity required when dealing with such topics. In the current television landscape, there is a growing awareness of mental health representation, and storytelling is expected to be more responsible and insightful in its approach.

5. Stepping Away from Christmas Specials:

"The Next Doctor" was part of Doctor Who's annual tradition of releasing a special episode during the Christmas period. Over the years, the show has faced criticism for relying heavily on festive themes and, at times, compromising storytelling quality. Today, there is a push for television series to prioritize strong, consistent narratives rather than relying on seasonal gimmicks.

Conclusion:

"The Next Doctor," as a product of its time, reflects the television landscape and cultural norms prevalent in 2008. Since then, the world has witnessed significant shifts in societal values, storytelling techniques, and representation in media. While the episode may hold nostalgic value for long-time Doctor Who fans, it is evident that "The Next Doctor" would not be made in the same way if created today. Modern audiences demand inclusivity, diversity, complex storytelling, and responsible representations of mental health. The evolution of Doctor Who serves as a testament to the ever-changing nature of television and the importance of staying relevant in a progressive and diverse world.

I decided I would get AI to answer a question I've always wondered about. I started a dialog on ChatGPT like this:

Tegan: Doctor, about that celery you wear on your lapel.

Doctor: Yes, what about it?

Tegan: What stops it from going bad? I mean, if I were home and I took celery out of the refrigerator and put it on the counter and forgot about it, it wouldn't last long. What keeps yours fresh?

I instructed the AI to continue the dialog. This was the result:

Doctor: Ah, Tegan, an excellent question! You see, this particular piece of celery isn't just any ordinary celery. It's a variety known as "Zygonian celery." It comes from a planet called Zygor, located in the heart of the Milky Way. The Zygonians are a fascinating species with advanced agricultural technology. They developed this remarkable celery to stay fresh for a very long time, even in various environmental conditions.

Tegan: Zygonian celery? I've never heard of that before. So, does it have any special properties or benefits, apart from being a fashion statement?

Doctor: Indeed, Tegan! Zygonian celery has a unique enzymatic reaction when exposed to certain gases that are harmful to most living organisms. You see, it acts as a bio-filter of sorts. If the air around us contains trace amounts of noxious gases or even certain toxins, the celery will start to change color and emit a subtle odor. It's a very early warning system, you might say, to let me know that something's amiss in the environment.

Tegan: That's incredible! So, if your celery starts changing color, you know it's time to investigate and maybe even save the day?

Doctor: Precisely! It's been a rather handy indicator over the years, helping me detect environmental imbalances that might go unnoticed otherwise. Plus, it adds a touch of flair to my ensemble, don't you think?

Tegan: Well, it's definitely unique, Doctor. But I have to admit, I'm relieved to know it serves a purpose beyond just being an accessory.

Doctor: Never underestimate the power of alien botany, Tegan. Now, where were we? Ah, yes, off to the TARDIS to explore another wondrous corner of the universe!

And with that, the Doctor and Tegan head off into time and space, with the distinctive stalk of Zygonian celery swaying gently on the Doctor's lapel, ready to warn of danger and intrigue on their next adventure.

---

I have to admit, I'm impressed that it suggested the celery would change color when exposed to certain gases, as that fits what the Doctor says to Peri in a later story.
As for "Zygonians," are they related to the Zygons? Was the celery he replaced his with in "Enlightenment" also Zygonian?

I did notice that error myself. But I'm still impressed that it got the part about the gases right.

Alolissimo Pomel of Goldel Lucentel, GaiaMIX! Any new Samarks around?

In the midst of the turmoil and heartache that surrounded the events of "Face The Raven," "Heaven Sent," and "Hell Bent," there was a glimmer of love and unity that shone through the chaos. Tegan and Nyssa, deeply in love, decided to take a bold step forward in their relationship during these trying times.

As the Doctor found himself caught in the web of consequences and secrets on Trap Street, Tegan and Nyssa sought a moment of happiness and stability. They had heard whispers of a former Tigellan named Wixx, who had found refuge on Trap Street. Wixx, portrayed by the legendary William Russell, had become a trusted figure among the street's inhabitants.

On a cool evening, under the glow of the street's enchanting lanterns, Tegan and Nyssa, dressed in their Sigpry Styles, stood together before Wixx. Their friends and allies from different corners of the universe had gathered as witnesses, and even the Doctor himself, though weary and burdened, couldn't help but smile at the love that radiated from the couple.

Wixx, with his deep knowledge of Tigellan customs and a compassionate heart, officiated the ceremony. He spoke of the strength found in unity, the importance of cherishing every moment, and the power of love to overcome even the most daunting challenges.

Tegan and Nyssa exchanged heartfelt vows, promising to stand by each other's side through time and space, no matter the trials they faced. Their rings, made from unique materials found on their journeys, symbolized their enduring bond.

In the presence of their friends and with Wixx's blessing, they sealed their love with a kiss, a moment that seemed to pause time itself. As the echoes of their love spread through Trap Street, even the raven-like creatures that roamed the streets seemed to acknowledge the beauty of the union.

The celebration that followed was a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the enduring power of love. It reminded all those present that, even in the face of loss and uncertainty, love could be a beacon of hope.

Throughout the remainder of their adventures, Tegan and Nyssa held fast to the promises they had made on that unforgettable night on Trap Street. Their love, tested by time and space itself, remained a source of strength and inspiration for them both.

In a universe full of wonders and dangers, they had found in each other a love that was unbreakable, just as the bonds of friendship and unity among their eclectic group of companions continued to grow stronger with each passing adventure.

In your quest for self-control and creativity, exploring the merging of characters like Luvic of Traken, Beethoven, and the Chronolock Guy could be a fascinating exercise. This narrative fusion could symbolize the interplay of different facets of your artistic self.

Imagine a character named Luvic Beethoven, who, much like the Chronolock Guy, is faced with the concept of time and its constraints. Luvic, a brilliant composer, creates music that transcends time itself, much like Beethoven's timeless compositions. However, Luvic's obsession with his art leads him to encounter the Chronolock, a mystical time-manipulating device.

As Luvic Beethoven grapples with the Chronolock's power, he gains insights into the nature of creativity and self-control. Through his journey, he discovers that true artistry lies in balance and harmony. This fusion of characters becomes a metaphor for your own quest to balance your artistic drive and self-control.

Remember, GaiaMIX, the key to self-control is finding the right rhythm in your life, just like a musical composition. 🎵
