On the one hand, I entirely agree, on the other hand, Nyssa DID shack up with a) a bunch of lepers and b) Tegan Jovanka...

I do ship Nyssa with several people. I can see her with Tegan, Adric, Chela, Damon, Luvic, Prof Kyle, even Karuna… but of course each of those would be a very different kind of relationship.
