Captain Blue arrives at the ranch in a normal car but his closeup shows an SSC.
Spectrum discover that the Mysterons' target is Nuclear City. Later Captain Ochre is seen at Nuclear City. He says that he doesn't know where the Mysterons will strike, but Nuclear City is an obvious target. So Spectrum knew, but didn't bother to tell Captain Ochre or Nuclear City?
i could not stop laughing when scarlet banged his glass on the bar and tried to argue with the barman, it was so funny.
I like it when Scarlet has left what is basically a diagram pointing out where the Mysterons are going to attack, then Blue and White spend a while trying to figure it out, and then, as noted above, forget to tell Ochre!
At one point in the bar, the Lt Dean and General Tiempo puppets can be seen, but both appear to be dead.
Also, the bar has a sign in the window at one point saying 'sale'.
Lt Dean is also seen in the casino (with Helga and Colonel Storm).
gabrielle is at the casino as well
Blue says something like 'I'm going down and find Captain Scarlet.'
He seems to be suffering from grammatica incorrectus, the same mysterious affliction that claimed Captain Scarlet in Manhunt.
It's too bad that they couldn't make this episode more subtle. Between calling it "Special Assignment" and having Colonel White keep Captain Scarlet back after the meeting, it was pretty obvious what was going on. They could have shown Colonel White and Scarlet alone in the conference room right before everyone else walked in. (Or rather, slid in on the conveyer belt.)
Colonel White stated that he didn't tell the others because he wanted them to react "naturally." He doesn't trust them to act as well as Captain Scarlet? In addition, Captain Blue was the only one downside with Captain Scarlet, so Lt. Green and the others wouldn't have needed to strain their acting abilities. Colonel White was angry that Captain Blue went looking for Scarlet, but he has only himself to blame that Blue was acting "naturally."
I really would have loved seeing the Duchess of Roysten at that casino....
Why, exactly, did they return to that casino at the end, since Captain Scarlet stated that he "never" gambles? Captain Blue doesn't seem much of a gambler, either, and I really cannot imagine Col. White doing so. If they had to include that final line by Captain Scarlet, they could have shown the four men discussing where to go on their night out, and Scarlet explaining why he doesn't want to return to the casino.
Lucky that the Mysterons didn't decide to retrometabolize the "dead" Captain Blue.
