The Heart of New York

Black seems to have a smile throughout his trip to the bank.
The interior car shots during the car chase at the end show vegetation on the streets which is not present in the model shots.
When Black runs up against a brick wall and vanishes, why do Scarlet and Blue say he's vanished into thin air? He might have just turned left.

Scarlet realises what the robbers are going to do. Then there's a bom bom cut back to the back. During this bom bom cut, Scarlet leans over and sniffs Blue's shoulder.

No he doesn't, he turns around to get into his car.

By Kinggodzillak on Monday, January 07, 2002 - 12:52 pm:

He starts to, but just stops moving ready fo rthe next scene. It looks quite silly.

By Paul Joyce on Saturday, January 12, 2002 - 3:59 pm:

I think he stopped so he could open the door.

By Kinggodzillak on Friday, February 22, 2002 - 1:38 pm:

Actually, I don't think he's anywhere near the door. But I could be wrong. I usually am. :)

That blond security guard again....! Does he ever give up?

By Kinggodzillak on Wednesday, March 06, 2002 - 3:07 pm:

Well, he gets to be in charge of WIN. So obviously the security guarding worked out pretty well for him.

By Paul Joyce on Wednesday, March 06, 2002 - 3:34 pm:

Yes, but would Shane Weston have fallen for the old 'suspicious device with flashing lights and accompanying sound effects' trick?

By Kinggodzillak on Friday, November 15, 2002 - 1:40 pm:

OK, I checked the Scarlet car thingy again. Scarlet turns AWAY from the car door (and yes, he was on the side he had been sitting on) and he sniffs Blue's shoulder.

Why are White's epaulettes flashing when Scarlet contacts him about the break-in?

When Doig says "Right" when Kruger tells him to get the dummies out of the trunk, his mouth doesn't close.

I noticed a sign among the city scenes that I'd never seen before and made a change from the regular Jerymn and all those other companies used and re-used in the city scenes. On the front of a building as the SPC chases Black into the alley is 'CENTRAL NUCLEAR COUNCIL'. Surely this might be a prime target for Mysteron attack?

If all the entrances to New York have roadblocks, then with Scarlet and Blue in the city centre and Ochre and Magenta together on one road, Spectrum's senior officers are spread pretty thin for a crisis like this.

By D.K. Henderson on Saturday, August 30, 2003 - 4:57 am:

I can't help wondering what the Mysteron's original target was supposed to be.

After the trio had put their dummies in the car and set it in motion, we (and the fire watcher) see it racing along the road. Just before it goes over the side, there is a loud screeching sound. This sound could only be caused by someone slamming on the brakes. How did a dummy manage to brake the car?

The authorities were awfully negligent in examining that car wreck. No one discovered that there were no real bodies at the crash site.

How did Black know that there was a set of bars inside the bank vault? How did he know that they hadn't been damaged in the explosion?

Why did Black need a car to get clear of the area? Why not just vanish?

Notice that, once they spotted Captain Black, they completely forgot about the three hapless crooks.

By Kinggodzillak on Saturday, October 08, 2005 - 6:22 am:

The Mysteron detector seems to have been improved since we first saw it. Ochre is able to determine that the robbers are human without having to pull the x-ray photo out.
