Why have we never seen Captain Indigo before?

By Callie Sullivan on Monday, October 22, 2001 - 2:41 pm:

Oh dear – this is a classic example of how times change. It was probably a perfectly innocuous comment in its day, but watching it today, when the World President said to Colonel White, “Hello Tiger,” I nearly fell off the sofa laughing.

Ah, the simplest gizmos are the best. I had to giggle at the complex instructions on the control panel for the lodge – Up and Down.

The whole problem of the World President and the Head of Spectrum nearly being crushed to death would never have happened if people in the future weren't too darned lazy to walk down the stairs!!

Why did Captain Scarlet keep ducking when Indigo was firing at him? He wasn’t likely to do him much harm.

I have a feeling shooting Scarlet would affect him - although he wouldn't die, he might be injured, and so didn't want to risk killing Indigo but be unable to rescue the others in time.

i think captain indigo was not used to being a mysteron as there was a slight pause during the sentance "come and get me, earthman". he said "come and get me", stopped and then added "earthman".

Why couldn't Scarlet have just grabbed a wrench, and used that to twist the up and down gizmo? We have a timer on our oven that's been missing its button for years, and we just grip it with our fingers and move it.

By Kinggodzillak on Monday, December 17, 2001 - 1:54 pm:

R.E Neil's above comment - I just thought that it was either

a) A normal thing for Mysterons to say, it didn't seem overtly unusual
or
b) This is a man Scarlet presumably knew. Reminding him of that could throw him off, and be valuable to the Mysteron for a few seconds. Its a contrast to when he cold-bloodedly murdered Captain Black on Substation Two.

Is Captain Scarlet technically an Earthman - his mind and soul are but his body isn't... :)

By Kinggodzillak on Tuesday, January 01, 2002 - 2:53 pm:

Well, his body is of Mysteron origin, but I doubt there would be many differences from his original one.

Captain Indigo fires about 20 rounds in quick succession, although Spectrum handguns apparently can only hold 14.

Melody and Harmony are due for a reprimand. They take too long to change into their flight suits. Lt. Green noted that Angel One was unmanned (or unwomanned, as the case may be) and Destiny's words and actions implied that she was going up, in spite of the fact that she was technically off duty and ready for sleep.

Wouldn't it have been a heck of a lot simpler (and less potentially lethal) if they'd just had the floor of the lodge sink down, rather than the whole blasted building?

Ummm...they're all here to discuss the Anti-Mysteron gun and the Mysteron detector. Why wasn't the detector already downstairs?

How did Captain Black get there past the security checks? For that matter, why didn't Captain Indigo react when he heard the strange knock on the door? No one was supposed to be there, and considering how long it took Black to open the door, Indigo should have been prepared. Now, if he had just busted it, it would have been a different matter.

Captain Blue supposedly slowed things down by shooting the console, but from the long shots, it looked as though it were still going down at regular speed. Lucky that the damage didn't prevent the mechanism from going back up.

So whatever happened to all the guns they were prepared to manufacture? They did make more detectors, although they didn't always use them when they should have.

Just when did that guy manage to take an X-ray of a duck?
