After re-watching the episode, it should be called 'Washington DC', as thats the first caption to come up! (Then again, following those principals the first Scarlet episode should be 'Mars 2068' )
Indeed
And the first Joe 90 should be called:

I couldn't help laughing when Commander Shore said "I know that you Dunderhead!" sure it wasn't "I know that you ass hole!" but it was pretty funny.
Fisher's voice sounds different from normal here, particularly during the countdown. Listen to him say four and five in particular. Fower!
Well he's an American, most Americans say four like fower, Texans for example and tones of characters from these shows say it like that Phones, Lt Fisher, Hawkeye and I think Troy once said fower as well.
But here he sounds more... yokelly.
Than normal.
'All civilian personnel to remain in their quarters.'
Precisely what do civilians (i.e. non-military people) do in Marineville?
I wonder why David Graham never voiced any Stingray regulars?
David Graham did do the voice of semi-regular Admerial (sic) Denver. I guess he had other commitments at the time Stingray was made. The first Dalek adventure in Dr Who could have been one.
Denver only made speaking appearances in three eps out of 39 (if you include Number 40). So he isn't really a semi-regular. Characters like Captain Hanson and Commander Norman from Thunderbirds would qualify as semi-regular.
The scene where Atlanta drops Troy's picture shows her quarters above ground, when at that time Marineville is at Battlestations.
The Stingray cockpit set with Troy and Phones on doesn't match the angle of the model.
What is an aerial search meant to achieve?
Why does the trial liquid turn from red to black then back to red halfway through?
I love the Aquaphibians' tiff on the way to Aquatraz. They love each other really.
On that second nit, I mean the scene where Stingray is shot down.

No that wouldn't be the title, as the signpost is seen near the end.
I think "Brain Impulse Galvanoscope Record And Transfer" seen at the very start when the BIG RAT opens up would be the title.
I watched the Gerry Anderson commentary on this episode. He stated that he had created "The Perfect Woman"--beautiful...and silent. He added that he would never be able to get away with such a thing if he were producing the program today.
Also on the commentary, Anderson said that he was trying to describe to the puppet sculptors how he wanted Troy Tempest to look--a handsome, square-jawed, "hero" type. They didn't get the idea, so Anderson told them to make Troy look "something like James Garner." Instead, they made him look a LOT like James Garner, which Anderson didn't intend, but accepted. Does James Garner know about this? Should he be getting residuals?
According to What Made Thunderbirds Go, Troy also sounded like James Garner. Can anyone confirm if this is true? I always thought Don Mason used his own voice for Troy.
Troy's voice is only very slightly Garneresque.
How do Troy and Phones get out of Stingray when it crashes? Phones says that everywhere except the cabin is flooded, but I can't see that the Aquaphibians would come over and capture them with scuba gear, and taking precautions against the leak. They'd most likely barge straight in and drown Troy and Phones.
The other possibility is that they were towed into Titanica, but that doesn't explain how Troy falls unconscious.
I'd also like to know how they got Stingray back...
Phones reminds me of some strange hybrid of Barney Feif and Noah Beery...hmmmm...
And Agent X20 reminds me of Steve Buscemi... must be the teeth and eyes or something, LOL.
Also, Gerry made a comment about the actor playing Phones- said the man had to blow his sinuses out before a recording session. That cracked me up. Actor Scott Wilson would fart and belch before every take- now that's gross! Actors. Bleh!!! LOL
Nice to see you back here, dognotspicy! Have you purchased the Stingray set, or are you borrowing them? How do you like the opening credits?
BTW, I was in Borders a couple weeks ago, and I noticed that they had a DVD set of Kimba the White Lion.
Heya D.K.-- I bought the Stingray set. Stephen has a way of getting me to part with my money ;-D
Anyways, I love the show. I've only watched the first disc, and honestly I wasn't sure if I'd like the show. But after viewing the first six episodes I'm really getting into it. It's so darn silly, and yes I do love the opening credits.
Ooooh, Kimba the White Lion. That's really tempting to get. Now all I have to do is find SpeedRacer and my collection of childhood shows will be pretty complete... that is except for shows such as Time Tunnel, Land of the Giants and Journey to the Bottom of the Sea. Now how's that for nostalgia??? Pretty scary huh? ;-)
I dunno about scary. They were fun shows for their time. If you scroll down the main listing of nitpicked shows, you'll find one that covers all of those shows, plus Lost in Space.
What I would dearly love to get is the Jim Hutton version of Ellery Queen. It was a wonderful show, criminally canceled after only one season. I've got some videos of them (cut for syndication), but they're wearing out.
Now, of course, you will also have to get Supercar, Fireball XL5, and Joe 90, just to get nicely caught up. I enjoyed all of them, although I think that I like Joe 90 best of the three. I've also been told that The Secret Service is due out this fall. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will be sold here in the States.
I remember watching "Stingray". Marina the mermaid was HOT!
It suddenly occurred to me--how did Titan know that Troy Tempest was the commander of Stingray? For all he knew, Phones could have been the one in charge, yet Troy was the one interrogated.
