I don't know about you lot but I just can't look at Maritamas with thinking about Kryten from Red Dwarf

This nit is mentioned elsewhere, but I'll put it here for posterity. Maritamas' two ships have different emblems on the side, but the second ship keeps showing the first ship's emblem. A crab and a fish, I believe.

I would like to know just why all these underwater races hate the upstairs people--considering that upstairs they didn't even know about the existance of the other races.

And BTW, while they keep showing these enemy races, which ones are the subject races that Titan talks about?

Red Dwarf special effects designer Peter Wragg worked on some of Gerry Anderson's shows. This might explain the similarity between Maritamas & Kryten, though I don't know if he was with APF/C21 this early on.

If only Maritamas didn't do countdowns. He'd have destroyed the west coast of America, Marineville and Stingray. He learned a bit when he tried to destroy Marineville, in that he had the missile set to full power and ready to fire when he surfaced but he still did the countdown.
