When the Invaders do their invasion of Marineville, why do they tie up Lt Fisher and gag him? Whats he done and why just him?

Especially since what he says is gibberish on a good day :)

I don't understand that either
Fisher said nothing to offend them,
(Well nothing acually) Atlanta and Commander Shore were the the ones offending them
but the aliens hardly knew Fisher was there,
for example when Atlanta says "Even the best laid plans go wrong." the alien leader says "You and the Commander are the only ones who know were in the control tower." but in my oppion The Invaders was one of the worst episodes in Stingray.

I liked it. I thought some of the metaphysical imagery was particularly effective.

I don't like it because it reminds me of Emergency Marineville, in my oppinion that was one of the best episodes. The aliens are just your typical two men army of hostile aliens from Xl5 and Stingray we don't even know their names.
And did you notice when they find out Stingray had gone and when they fell into the water the Alien Lt
(the one Ray Barret did the voice for) his head twists all the way round.

I prefer this to Emergency Marineville. Its the only time aliens have actually got as far as the Marineville Control Tower. They should be congratulated!
And I didn't notice the head thing, but I'll have a look!
Incidentally one of their names is Epayus.

All these crazy names for aliens Titan, X20, Garus, Lebire, Gadus, Maran, Ebarin, Tral, Maritamas , Corda, The Mighty Leader, Nucella, Chidora, Taratus, Fragil.
I supose The Invaders was alright they did they have to spoil it with the ending with Fisher tied up? God know why Dennis Spooner came up with this.
I like the music in Emergency Marineville, when the rocket launched out of the crator at the start and when the wasp jets were taking off at the end very strong and loud.

What I love about this show is how we only ever see no more than two (or three) of the aliens yet they're supposed to be an entire race. And how did Marineville stop the invasion army - just because the two head honchos fell into the drink wasn't going to stop them burrowing back into the battlestations hangar...

Just why did the two invaders give up, anyway? Their men were on their way, and they had the main contingent of WASP at gunpoint. "Oh, dear, Troy Tempest knows what's going on, we must give it up for now." They had the drop on all of them, why didn't they just kill all five, thus dealing a crippling blow at WASP?
I had two ideas regarding why Fisher alone was tied and gagged. A) they felt that he alone presented a danger, the other two being an old guy in a hoverchair and a mere female, or B) they felt that the younger Fisher might impulsively try something that the more experienced members would not risk. Incidently, since all WASP members are supposed to be prepared to die for the cause, why didn't Atlanta or Commander Shore cry a warning to Troy and Phones?
Troy and Phones should have split up. I can see the invaders focused on the rising elevator poles, while one of the two (Troy, probably, the heroic one) slips in a side entrance and gets the drop on them.

Interesting to see a race of people from under the ocean who require gaseous oxygen to breathe and do not swim very well.
