It has always seemed to me that people who boast extravagantly about themselves (or their organizations) are really trying to assure THEMSELVES. Too bad Troy couldn't have pointed this out to Jordan.
Couldn't Jordan have done something to the missile while he was arming it? The Aquaphibians, who are never too swift, wouldn't have known.
Troy didn't think to emphasize that he had, in fact, found a flaw in the Navy's missile. Back to the drawing board, guys.
This was the episode that I remember from before, when Marina received a note from Troy. A short note, but she obviously understood it. So why doesn't she communicate by writing when necessary?
I loved Troy's reaction when Atlanta commented that she was glad that SOMEONE had noticed her new dress.
I also enjoyed the ending, when Troy and Atlanta reconciled. Come to think of it, Troy and Atlanta's interactions always seemed more realistic than Troy with Marina. It's as though he realizes that Marina is a "fantasy" figure, while Atlanta is more the "real thing". (Maybe it just seems that way because Troy and Atlanta can actually talk to each other, but that's my opinion, anyway.)
BTW, how the heck did the Aquaphibians get into Jordan's sub, anyway? Shouldn't the outer hatches have been locked down?
I can't remember the exact words here but I love it when Jordan is commenting on how superior the Navy's uniforms are and Troy defends WASP uniforms with a snippy "They're neat and servicable!"
I agree with the first post that Troy and Atlanta seem a more realistic couple. Marina doesn't seem to really do anthing except smile, nod and read magazines.
I do wonder if part of the reason Atlanta liked Jordan was that he was interested in her--not Marina. Even after he met Marina, Jordan kept most of his attention on Atlanta.
