He he. So, how exactly DO you hide transmitters on the outsides of milkbottles?

They do like playing with our minds. First they make it quite clear that Shane Weston has seen that nice silvery device shot into his ceiling, then he trots down to the cottage and starts blabbing things. BTW, considering that they were under close surveillance, how did they get together with the McClaines to discuss the situation?

One moment that I treasure--the reference to "imbecilic puns". I think that the bad guy had a point. I also find it remarkable that Sam Loover hasn't smacked Shane Weston upside the head instead of just muttering, "Yeah, Chief, I get it."

On the other hand, this running joke of always telling the truth and never being believed is getting old.

This whole scenario was a little chancy. So many different factors could have made the balloon late. Prof. McClaine came literally within seconds of losing his face. BTW, showing him closing his eyes as the drill came closer was very effective.

Putting a transmitter in a passport was very sneaky, but what if the man had put it away in a drawer somewhere, rather than continuing to carry it on his person?

When Shane played back the recording, I was really hoping that Sam would mumur, "You know, I've been wondering that myself...."

Shane Weston obviously has problems with some modes of travel. In an earlier episode, they showed him getting queasy riding in Prof. McClaine's Greenmobile. How did they manage to persuade him into the balloon in the first place?

I noticed a nit. During the scene where they released the balloon from the caravan, they kept using close ups and long shots of Sam and Shane. Sam was in a green coat, Shane was in brown. They kept switching sides. In the closeups, Sam was on Shane's left, then on his right in the long shots.
(They must have been feeling really fidgety. :))

When that drill stopped (and how did Joe know which button to press?) it actually knocked against Mac's glasses.

They showed Joe landing the ballon on a big flat area. How exactly did he tether it while rushing to save his father?
